Ship board credit "what do you use yours for"?

We like playing Bingo on the ship, so our ship board credit goes to that! We figure, its money we didn't have to begin with, so when we loose, we won't feel like it was a waste. (Actually we won some great raffle prized! we got a roll of free film developing, and a day at the rainforest in the spa!!) No cash though!

As for controling our spending, we didn't put down a credit card when we got on board. We chose not to. So we had a 200 dollar spending limit (just pay it off periodically) We ended up putting cash down on it, then on the second to the last night, we gave them our credit card, so the final purchases could go to that. (we brought cash for our tips)

We diddn't do any shore excursions, other than DH parasailing on CC.
I think we ended up spending about 650.00 after our shipboard credit. (we had booked the REAS package, so our major spa treatment was paid for already!)
We got specialty drinks occasionally, but tried to keep it to one or two a day. DH and I like the same things, so we would just share one when we went to a show, rather than each of us getting our own.

We saved our change for a year and had 600 dollars for MAD money! so we could do what we wanted on the cruise and at WDW with out feeling guilty. (we didn't spend a SINGLE penny for the whole year) DH thought I was nuts, but I would be happy when our total was .05. (Yeah!! .95 for the jar!)

i dont have to worry about spending money in the spa, i have never spoiled myself by going to a spa , so i will not miss going. We use to buy souvenirs for relatives & friends and after the years everyone stop bring back souvenirs for us so we stopped, so we dont have to buy souvenirs
except for my 2 DD . we are getting in a few days early before the cruise, dh & i can stock up on those plastic beer bottles, wine & water. we love the beach & the water so i really dont see us doing excursions and as far as shopping on the islands, we probably wont buy anything. hmmmm...... is that frugal enough to save me money

We used ours to help reduce the total of the shipboard account, which included excursions (2), shutters, arcade, souviners, the list goes on and on and on

can you use it to pay for all your tips at the end of the cruise or do you pay for your off board excursens or spend it in the shops on the ship or can you apply it to your next cruise deposit

I used mine on Castaway Cay, Mickey's Mates, and Treasure Ketch.
