Shhhh! Mickey's Twying to Sweep, be Quiet! - A July '11 Anniversary TR - Update 12/24

Loved these pics! He is just too much! :rotfl: The monorail station duel was pretty awesome, too. :thumbsup2 I've never done LTT, but you have me wanting to try this amazing dessert! The few times I've checked out the menu, it was about the only thing that interested me. Nice to hear how good it is!

Haha. Man, if you guys think he's too much just from pictures, try existing on the same plane as he does. :lmao:

I recommend LTT. I've never been disappointed in the food and the dessert always seals the deal for me. We always do dinner, which is when they have the buffet.

Catching up after our trip!

Yikes! Poor Joaquin and the pirate makeup! That couldn’t have been comfortable in the heat! I’m glad he was better after some of it came off!!

I love the picture of you as a pirate!!! LOL!!

I also ADORE the rock star Joaquin picture!!!! So darn cute!

We just ate at LTT and I LOVED that dessert too! In fact, no one else (it was just mil, the kids and I) ate it. I pretty much finished it! I'm not ashamed to admit it!! It was YUMMY!

Fabulous Photopass pics!!!

Jason and I actually had the server bring out more of the dessert after we were all finished. I just couldn't leave without having more! I agree, I'm not ashamed to admit that either.

This was our Animal Kingdom morning. Yay!

I managed to drag myself out of bed at about 7am. I met mom at 7:30am and we headed for the Contempo Cafe to pick up some breakfast items. I grabbed three bagels for Jason, myself and Joaquin and filled our mugs.

When I got back to the room, Jason and Joaquin were ready. We were trying to eat our breakfast quickly, but Joaquin was being such a slow poke.

I'm not kidding, a tiny tiny ant would have eaten that bagel quicker than this boy was eating. He is just like his father. Jason is so slow when he eats. I admit, I'm a scarfer. Food is not sacred. The faster I can eat it, the happier I am. That's SUPER healthy....:rolleyes1

So, because I eat fast and they eat at the speed of sloth, I get frustrated. So I make us leave and head out to the car with the food in hand. Figure that Joaquin can finish eating in the car. There is no dawdling in Disney people!

Fortunately, Joaquin finished eating in the car. We were wiping his face with a wet one, and he looks at me very narrow eyed and proudly declares:

"I'm gonna bite that wipe!"

I told him go ahead. But I don't think that wipe goes very good with bagel.

We made it to the park right around opening time. Got fairly decent parking and opted to walk into the park rather than taking the tram. I never take the tram at Animal Kingdom.

We made it inside and split ways to accomplish our goals. Mom and Dad headed towards Kali River Rapids to get fastpasses and the rest of us headed through Dinoland towards Everest. On the way, we stopped at Triceratop Spin for the kiddos. Perfect timing, there was no one in line.

As you can tell from this picture, Chris and I ended up in our own Triceratop.

After this we headed over to EE to wait for mom and dad. We waited a little while and they still weren't there, so Sara and I headed into the bathroom. Lo and behold, who was in the potty? My mom. Apparently there was no line when they go there, so they rode EE already. Lucky.

The wait time was only about 15 minutes at that point. So, mom, Sara, Riley and Joaquin waited out, and the rest of us went on the ride.

Not one to be outdone, Wicket wanted to be like his older brother, Yeti, and pose on the mountain.

On the way up, I took some pictures. BTW, that's my dad's head.

Very shiny. That would explain the glare....

OMG, the tracks are out!

Clearly, Jason and I love this part.

The ride was good as always. We bought Joaquin a new little Yeti, who will make an appearance later.

After that, we started heading over to Dinosaur. Chris and Sara were going to meet up with us. The ride was actually closed, so we went over to It's Tough to be a Bug. Riley wouldn't have gone, because she would have basically had a heart attack.

Joaquin is a brave boy. Picture this. He's on Jason's lap during the show. He's having a good time, and taking everything in stride. Then the spiders arrive.....

Looking up at the spiders, waving his foot feverishly in the air, and shouting at the top of his lungs, Joaquin proclaims:

"Imma gonna cwush you with my SSHHOOOOOEEEEE!!!!!!"

Well take that spiders!

After that, we all met up at Kali River Rapids after that. No ladies and gentlemen, Joaquin was not scarred after his ITTBAB experience. :3dglasses

Sara and Riley were not going on Kali. Originally, Riley was going to go on, but she decided not to in the end. Remember, not a fan of water so much.

True to form, Jason got SOAKED! I'm talking not a spot dry on him. He's cursed when it comes to water rides. Always has been. Fortunately, I was not sitting next to him.

Unfortunately, Joaquin was. But he took it well.

We decided it was time for lunch at this point. We all decided on Restaurantasaurus because it was very hot. Jason was pretty soaked still, but we just told him to SUCK IT UP BUTTERCUP! (shout out to Kristin or Disneyfreak616).

The kids were pretty hungry. Riley and Joaquin were playing with their dolls and having a good time together.

Joaquin was being pretty loud as usual. Riley looks at me with this face...

And has her Cheshire Cat declare to me in a very grave manner:

"I'm gonna zip his mouth shut". :rotfl2:

Here is my food. It was very good, a veggie sub, but the awesome part were the sweet potato fries. It was all sooo yummy.

After this, it was off to Finding Nemo the musical.

During the show Megan (TinkerbellLuvr7), texted me to let me know they were in Animal Kingdom. I told her we would meet up with each other after the show. They were going to be at Pizzafari.

When we left Nemo, the clouds were ominous. It wasn't long before the clouds parted, and we needed to be in search for an Ark.

Jason and I had bad luck with Animal Kingdom and rain. Megan and I broke our plans to meet up since it was raining so badly. Chris and Sara had already gone their separate way and got stuck in Asia. We covered Joaquin's stroller again with the poncho and headed out. We got soaked, but again, not the end of the world. We knew we were heading back to the hotel.

Up Next: Why am I getting a migraine?!

Oh My! I remember that day and that rain was nuts! I was so glad we had stopped at Pizzafari to eat to avoid the rainy mess! That was the only time I was at AK since moving back until 2 weeks ago when I went with my brother lol. I'm glad to see the weather is down below the 80s for once!

I love your Everest photo! Oh yeah, can't forget Joaquin's spider crushing comment, hilarious!

The spider situation was hilarious!

You're right, it was raining like crazy. The Animal Kingdom and I were not getting along on that trip.

Animal Kingdom day - yay!! :yay:

:lmao: at Joaquin wanting to bite that wipe! I have to agree in that it wouldn't taste good with the bagel.

Love the EE pics - I was too nervous to take any! That veggie sub looks great - we went with the shrimp po boy but am definitely trying the veggie option on a future trip.

Oh no on the rain and having to break your plans to meet Megan.

I know, that would have tasted horrible! :lmao:

The veggie sub was a lot better than I anticipated it would be. I love being able to get options that are not the normal burger / chicken nuggets fare.

I think I need to take the “there is no dawdling at Disney” approach with my family! Get up, get moving, JUST GO!

Woo hoo for AK day!!

I’m with Riley on ITTBAB!!! DH forced me to go last October when it was just him and I and quickly remembered why I hadn’t been in there in years!

Love the EE shoot!

Oh no!! No migraines at WDW!!!!

I agree with that approach! And you have to make sure you sound like Tom Hanks in A League of Their Own. "There's no dawdling in Disney!!!"

Wha ?? Sweet potato fries ??? I did not know this. Must get those next time. Yikes on the migraine. Hope it wasn't a bad one. I've already had two this week. I get them A LOT and it sucks.

PS - I'm a scarfer, too.

Yay, another scarfer! :lmao: Sometimes I wish I could slow down, but I just can't. When I do, I feel like I'm moving at a snail's pace.

Oh, the sweet potato fries are definitely worth it. I was very surprised, because it's the only place that I've ever seen them.

I get migraines frequently too. It stinks, because I absolutely hate it when I get them on vacation.

I see you only have 4 more days until Disney! :cool1::cheer2::cool1: You must be so excited. and I'm bumping this so I can see your latest update with pic when I get home tonight!

I love the sweet potato fries at Restaurantosaurus! It's our favorite place to eat at AK now.

Joaquin makes a very cute rocker. :rotfl: And he was very brave at ITTBAB. I don't know many little kids who don't end up scared on that one.

You know, I started this report a long time ago, but somehow got derailed. Your nephew is special, Tee tee, scary cute.
Great job on the report, but please, for the love of God tell me why, oh why, if you are from Chicago are you getting on an airplane in Milwaukee? There's a rumor that we, too, have actual airports way down here. I musta missed sumpin. Oh, and loved the picture of Jaqhuin,,,Jachuin,,,,, your nephew with the plate of pancaked in front of him,,, I couldn't eat all that!
Keep it up Danielle.

I'm very excited! The rest of this week cannot go by fast enough.

Joaquin was very brave on ITTBAB. I knew he'd be okay. He definitely doesn't scare easy.

Joaquin is scary cute, I know. Sometimes even I can't even handle it.

I actually prefer Milwaukee airport as a whole, and from where I'm located in the Chicagoland area, it's equal distance to both, but O'Hare and Midway tend to take longer, because of traffic. Plus, it is soooo much cheaper to park in Milwaukee. Like $11 a day for covered parking that's walking distance from the terminal. :scared1:

Joaquin can eat a whole lot of food. Like scary quantities....

Maybe it's because I haven't eaten dinner yet, but man that lunch of yours looks delicious! I love sweet potato fries and there is a little bistro here that makes them and I can't get enough of them!

I always get soaked on KKR...I'm always the one who gets soaked so no one wants to sit with me anymore!!!

Joaquin....cute as ever!!!!!

Normally, I get absolutely drenched on KRR. Surprised that I didn't this time. Jason was not so lucky. ;)
