Shhh! Super Secret Winter Warm Up Girls Only February Get Away (from the snow)

Making the Most of It! Day 7 and HOPPER PASS HEAVEN!

dsc01291-1.jpg

Our morning started with breakfast at 1900 Park Fare....Mary Poppin's Supercalifragilistic breakfast. Oh my. WHAT a breakfast! I honestly have to say I think it was the best breakfast I've ever had at WDW. The strawberry soup was amazing. And there were TONS of choices! The gentleman who seated us told Anna that if she left there hungry it would be her own fault. No kidding! (What was I thinking scheduling 3 TS meals today?!?!? :rotfl:)

Characters included Mary Poppins, Alice, Mad Hatter, Tigger and Pooh. We enjoyed Mad Hatter and Alice the most. They were quite entertaining and spent a lot of time with each table.

Anna had purchased one of the small blank vinylmation figures and asked Alice and Mad Hatter to sign it. She made her signature teeny tiny and signed on the ear. Mad Hatter drew a hat on top for his signature. It was cute.

After breakfast we rolled ourselves out of the Grand Floridian :rotfl:, I mean we took the monorail over to MK for park #1 of the day. It was an absolutely gorgeous day with lots of sun, cool enough for jackets in the morning, but by afternoon it had warmed up quite a bit.

As we were walking toward haunted mansion, we spotted Tiana with no line! I forced Anna to stop for a photo and even SHE was glad, because Tiana was HILARIOUS! She asked Anna's name and I told her we call her "Anna Banana Princess Fickle Pickle" and Tiana started squeezing her cheeks and calling her schnookims and other cutesy names. Anna was laughing. Very fun!

We decided to ride Haunted Mansion....so fun with the new queue! And then...that was it! We were done with MK and wanted to go to Epcot which was SUPPOSED to be a best parks day....but apparently no one counted on HORDES of cheerleaders. Oh my goodness. If I never see another cheerleader in my life I'll be satisfied! Mama's please don't let your babies grow up to be cheerleaders.

Here we are on the monorail:

We picked up our fast passes for Soarin' and walked through the Seas pavilion again. Anna could have watched the dolphins forever I think. Then it was time for our lunch at Coral Reef. What a BEAUTIFUL restaurant. Even the entrance is gorgeous. We loved the whole atmosphere there. So restful. I will definitely eat there again. Anna thought that they should not have fish on the menu though....as "fish are friends, not food." They gave us a little guide with all the fish we might see in the tank and we checked them off as we spotted them. Pretty fun!

I had the appetizer trio for 2 as my entree--PERFECT size! It had the lobster soup, crab cakes and shrimp. Delicious! Anna had a caesar salad and bread. Of course. What ELSE would Anna have?

dsc01380.jpg

We were too full for dessert, sadly. But I found myself in need of one of these again (I think I might have an addiction problem!)

Then it was time for more walking around WS...

And then back to pick up fast passes for Test Track and use our Soarin' fast passes. I forgot to mention that when we got the FP's for Soarin, we got "surprise fps" for Living with the Land. We had already done it once and so we gave them to a nice older couple we met on our way to lunch and they were thrilled. It's fun to spread the magic!

Day 7
HOPPER PASS HEAVEN continued:

dsc01406.jpg

This time we were on the left side of the ride....the screen over there seemed to have more "spots" than when we rode it on the right side. So if you have a choice at the part in the queue where you either go left or right...choose right!

Anna decided she needed a snack. (WHAT??? Are you kidding me? Ok. I guess I could eat....)
I've always wanted to sit outside at the Mexico pavilion and have nachos. So that's what we did. I thought they were just ok, but Anna really liked them. She tried eating a jalapeno by itself and then reported "That was a BIG mistake, Mom."

dsc01409.jpg

Aren't these two pretty? They were hanging out near where we were eating. And by the way, the seagulls around the food areas in WS are OBNOXIOUS!

dsc01416.jpg

We headed over toward Test Track and sat and "people watched" until it was time for our FP's. That was actually fun and relaxing.

dsc01417.jpg

Then, believe it or not, it was time for our dinner in Morocco! (WHAT? Eating again? I know...seriously...3 ADRs in one day is a little much). I wish I had been more hungry because I think the food here was really interesting and different. We took the boat across the lagoon--something else I had never done. It was nice. Our waitress at Restaurant Marrakesh was very nice as were the other servers, but in general, I find the CM's there the least friendly of all the countries in WS. Anna and I both got tea (she poured it from far up!) and then we had 2 appetizer samplers which gave us a nice variety of foods to try. We both liked it all except for the falafel (fried chickpeas) which I thought was bland. The salads were good, the hummus and baba ganoush (sp?) were good and the meat pastries were delicious and really different. I was super proud of Anna for trying new things all week!

The belly dancer and musicians were performing as we arrived so we only saw a little bit, but I think it would have been a lot of fun to stick around and see the whole show.

dsc01422.jpg

After dinner, we had the only really sad part of our trip....Anna realized she had lost her pearl cage that I gave her with her pearl from Japan. We looked around the restaurant, but we both thought it had come off the necklace earlier in the day. I am calling lost and found every day for a few days, but no luck so far. She was heartbroken. I offered to go to Japan so she could get another one, but she was too sad to do the ceremony. A very nice CM at the gate tried to make it better but there wasn't much she could do. I could tell she felt really bad.

We decided it was best to just go on with our plans to take the boat over to DHS to watch Fantasmic! (the second show) so we boarded the boat from WS area and went over. It was a cheerleading nightmare over there. We could hear them from the BOAT!! When we walked into the park I think about 1000 of them were leaving, cheering all the way, and the whole courtyard area at the entrance (just through the gate) was FULL. We had to fight our way past them to get to the giant line for F! There was a line nearly all the way down that street where the theater is. We got in line in front of 3 really funny off-duty CM's. F! was PACKED! And this was for the 2nd show. We were in line at 7:45 for the 8:30 show and we ended up in the next to the last section on the far side of the theater. There was a nice family behind us that was a little traumatized by the crowds and wondering if the show would be worth it or not....by the end, they agreed it was worth it.

And that was how we ended our final day....I'm glad we went, even though we were both tired. We went back to our room, got ready for bed, finished packing and got ready for (as Natalie says) our "Magical Depression" bus early the next day.

All in all, a wonderful, wonderful trip with lots of beautiful memories. :goodvibes

wow what a day! I love 1900 PF breakfast too but i'm a huge Mad Hatter fan!

I think you have an addiction problem as well :rotfl: Man I gotta try one of those

I love Fantasmic... Do they sell a DVD of it anywhere?

I don't know....I guess you could check World of Disney store....I found one online at laughingplace.com. But you can just watch it online.

I'm telling you, those slushies are GOOD. I wanted to try the Grey Goose one too but I loved the Grand Marnier one so much I couldn't bear to not have one so I could try the other one....it's sad.....

It was a really great day. Just doing our favorite things and seeing 3 parks. I would never have thought I would enjoy that but it was a perfect last day!:cloud9:

Wow...what a busy day. I would love to try a couple of parks in one day like that.
I just have to ask...do I need to send you money? if not, thats ok, but I hate owing people and like to take care of that right way. :)

I sent you an e-mail yesterday, but maybe I have the wrong address??? I'll pm you!

I'm sorry to hear Anna lost her necklace. Hopefully someone turned it in.

I'm glad you had a fun filled final day. We call the bus back to the airport the "Depression Express" bus. I always cry as soon as we drive off Disney property and as soon as we drive on to the airport property. :guilty:

They need a guide with all the fish in the tank and you can check them off as you eat them.:lmao:

I think Seagulls are OBNOXIOUS wherever you find them.

Sorry to hear about the pearl cage. That really stinks. :sad2:

Haha on your comment about the fish...but I will not be sharing that with my daughter....she would be upset!

Yeah, I really hope someone found it and turned it in. She was one heartbroken little girl. I can replace the pearl cage but she is really attached to her pearls.

It's SO good I have my scrapbook retreat to look forward to this weekend because I am having SERIOUS Disney withdrawals.....:scared1:
