I can't choose, they're both really adorable; I agree that you should let the kitties decide. And tell us how it turns out!

I voted white 'cause the poor little white kitty only had 11 votes. And I always wanted a white cat.

But they're both completely adorable and your wife will love either one!

I just checked a couple of web sites, and while I think both kittens are beyond cute -- the adult silvers are stunning. So I'd go with the silver.

BUT -- are you sure you can't get two kittens? Cats really need the companionship of another cat. Our local shelters will not adopt out single cats unless you already have a cat at home. If you're cat-less, you take two or none. This is for the cats' own good.

I understand the financial aspect -- I have bassets and they cost $1,000 - $1,200 each, not to mention food, vet bills, crates, toys, bedding, show fees, etc. And we have our two cats, too, who were adopted from a local shelter. Every animal needs another of its own kind at home if there's any way you can work it out. For your future cat's sake, I hope you can bring home a pair of 'book ends'.....

Jeff -- along the lines of adopting 1 vs 2 -- ask the breeder if either of them seem to be happy playing alone vs always with the others. If you're only going to get one (and I agree, two are much better), it might be better to get the one that is more solitary. He'd be happier by himself. As an example, our Sienna I think would be happy as an only-cat, she's definitely solitary and has been ever since we got her. Whereas Gabi and Leo are always looking for others to play with, and Skye got depressed after we lost Blaze. So of our current 4, 1 would be okay as an only, 3 are better with their companions.

But be warned -- these kitties are like those potato chips. You can't stop at one. LOL!!

They're both too cute! I couldn't pick on looks alone.

I agree with Robin. If possible I would pick the kitty that's more outgoing and lovable. Temperament is everything with a cat.

I have 2 of them. One is a loner that hardly ever wants petted and the other one is 'Miss Personality' that follows me everywhere. My outgoing kitty even greets me at the door just like my dog.

Yep, I have 4 cats with 4 different personalities and temperaments. They're as different as human beings!

Xena: The Queen Mother, rules the roost, very confident and bossy

Max: The Daddy, humble, clumsy, kind and self deprecating

Aaliyah: The Baby, Shy, ULTRA feminine, sweet and adorable
and

Meeko: The Bad Boy, mischievous, busy, lovable and wreckless,

All together they cohabit very well but separately they could endear themselves to you or drive you insane.

It is so important to know what kind you can live with or without. My sister prefers aloof kittens while I love the over attentive loveable ones. Make that decision OVER the look and you will be very happy for the next to up to 20 years!

Looks-wise, I would definitely go with the silver tabby. (Please extend my apologies to Tycho, kk. ;) ) But personality is way more important than coat color IMO; has the breeder given you any info on their "attitudes?" :)

:teeth: Tycho doesn't care - he knows Momma would dye him another color if she could. ;)

We better all send in a dollar so jfulcer can get both kittens!!! Since they're exotic "fur"eigners -- maybe two dollars. :teeth:

Hey I like this idea. I don't think I'll get everyone to go in on it, though...

Siberian cats are very social cats (even with us humans). The breeder said that both are playful kittens, and said both were about the same temperament.

While I think it would be nice to get two, financially only one is in the picture, and I think the surprise of 2 would be too much for DW.

BTW, I chose the silver. The masses must be thinking like I am.

They are both so cute, it's hard to pick one. I vote for both too! LOL I understand that you can't afford them both, so if I had to choose, I would go with the silver one.
