Great costume plans! Good luck finding the other ones!

LOL...I haven't even told my dh about ANY of our plans! I tried to get him to tell me what kinds of things he would eat so I could calculate which meals will be OOP, and he said, "Can't we just discuss this on the plane?"![]()
Hi,
I'm brand new here so if I am oversteeping it please let me know. First, have fun with the suprise. We did that once. I'm glas we did it but would never do it again if taht makes sense. It was fun once--- they were stunned. At the time our kids were 10 months (she had no clue), 3 and 8. We had told them we were heading to grandma and grandpas for Thanksgiving. We had the reservations for almost a year so it was hard to keep a secret (and I am awful at that normally.) We were driving as we always do and we stopped for dinner. We told them in Long John Slivers that we didn't feel like going to gandma and grandpas, we should go to disney instead. They were stunned, and said they would miss gma and gpa, but let's go. We tehn told them gma and gpa were going too, it was fun. Our 3 year old (who was really shy at the time), stood up on the bench of the booth and said, "Hey everyone, we're going to Disney World!!! It wasn't too busy, but those who were there smiled and laughed, a few clapped. They were stunned to say the least! The reason I would never do it again is I really felt like they missed a lot by not doing the planning part. We do count downs and stuff like that---it really adds to the vacation. Having said that, it is worth it to have the suprise once. I bet you will see what I mean when you get back. I wouldn't trade that trip, but once was enough.
So, what I was wondering. Are those photos of your t-shirt something we can copy? My husband said it would take him a minute to swap out the tow boys for two more girls, and we would remove the words add some, you know make it different, but it would still be the same stick people. Would that be ok, if not I understand. I just loved them! We have the Disney stick people with ears on our car window and I was thinking of making t-shirts based on them, but yours are so colorful. So, let me know. If you don't like the idea we will go another route. So, thanks, and enjoy the suprise. The only thing I regret is that we didn't tape it. We never had a real plan of when we would tell them, the timing just felt right and the camera was in the car. But we have the memories, but if you can---tape it!!!
Life in our house is going at full speed, we are all back in school and Hubby is up to his elbows at work as always...but our Disney countdown is ticking away...NO cute calendar here, just my own countdown...because the kids still don't know...YAY Us!I have done a little preping though, although I do still have more to do. I went to a crop at our local scrapbook stores and made some little autograph "books" for all the kiddos.

These are for the boys:[/IMG]![]()

I made these out of tags, with the idea that when we get back they can be dismantled and the autograph can become a part of the bigger page. Everyone at the scrap thought I should leave them as is...we'll see. Now I just need to get them some pens.
Also, Look what came in the mail today:

Our MNSSHP tix...yay. The boys costumes came in, and I am waiting on DD's...no progress on adult costumes, if I was a betting woman I d bet we will be appearing as Meanie Mom and Devilish Dad...our everyday persona's.
I need to do tink gifts, passports, and some t-shirts still...and I only have 14 days, along with the real possibility that we may have a hurricane to deal with in the meantime as well.![]()

It's not fair! You have the same costumes that we'd have if we were going to MNSSHP.
Great job on the autograph books! You're amazing me! You've done so much prep with not being able to do any of it when the kids are around. Keep kicking me, PLEASE!
Ok, so now all of the details I need to tie up are kinda out the window! we are currently cleaning, packing up for Hurricane Gustav...it appears it will be knocking at our door on Monday afternoon. For now we plan to stay, but should the mandatory evac order be given we will have to leave. Please keep our region in your prayers. Hopefully the skies will clear and we can head on down for our amazing surprise for our kids!!!!
DH found it, I' ll email it to you tonight, when I ask him where it is. If your kids can wear adult sized t shirts you can upload it onto vista print and get them for like 4.95 a piece.
