Shhh...it's a surprise/Lies all Lies...day 4 added 10/10

So reading other's trip reports is such a funny thing, you get all excited about your trip, you remember your past trips, and you dream about your future trips. I m reading someone elses trip report right now, and everyone is commenting on wearing poncho's on splash...we do this too... but me and DH wear the ponchos and drape them over the kids, on alot of ride photo's from last time you would only see DH or myself, because the kids would be completely underneath the poncho...:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Ok, so Now I m starting to think about each day..and try to plan tink gifts etc... anyone have a quick and easy link on who, where and what to contact to get ears delivered to our room when we arrive?

Things I need to buy:

Camelsbak, DH and I need one adult size like we had for the kids last trip, you can see in all of our pix that they have on backpacks, well they are actually hydration packs...DH and I had a little one, so for this trip I want a bigger one with a little more room, doing away with the need for me to carry a bag or purse.

I m thinking about this one:

I need to finalize our shirt plans and decide on whether or not to get DD a DisneyBoutique outfit (off of ebay, I don't have time to try to sew) for her special unbirthday in MK, or just get her a tee and cute skirt...she is a princess you know!:wizard:

MNSSHP Tickets

I m sure I think of more necessities we "need " for Disney!:wizard:

Am I the only one who looks at other's pix and thinks oh, I have to have one of my family just like that...that's what I m doing right now!:dance3: :surfweb: :happytv: :surfweb:

Ok, so I am trying to be budget conscious for this trip... Does everyone know except me that double stroller rentals went up to 31$ a day? That's CRAZY! So I joined a stroller swap, and now I m trying to join a photopass group!

I always look at everyones' pics to get ideas. It's a great way to get them. Feel sorry for all those people who don't know about these boards and they don't get these wonderful ideas (and everything else that comes from reading here). As for the strollers, I know they went up but didn't know how much cause we're out of the stroller world. DSs are 8 and 12 and were 6 and 11 on our last trip - so, no strollers for us. But, we do get an ECV for DH cause he can't walk that far due to his back. We've learned to rent from off-site cause it is so much cheaper. The stroller swaps are a great idea. I've joined a photopass group too - I'm hoping we get some good pics cause I didn't get any from our last trip. Way too much $$$$.

I love your shirts.........where do I go to get something similiar?

We will be at the 9/12 Halloween Party too! I would like to do t-shirts and yours are AWESOME!

Thanks!

About two weeks ago my DH told me he had a dream that we had to cancel our trip. Oh no I replied, there's no way that's happening, and then... Three of my paychex that I was supposed to have to pay off the balance of our trip, are late because the payroll manager is running behind. I work as an independent contractor, and it typically takes 14 days to get paid but now it is 21...and I got a notice from Disney saying if you don't pay by such and such date we will cancel your trip....  Talk about anxiety, but then I remembered that I could use my Disney card for 0% financing, and then pay it off when I get paid..so we are officially PAID IN FULL!!

So 38 days til Disney. We are in Florida now spending a few days at the beach, the kids talked all the way here about how they wish we could go to Disney, we just said we know...maybe in 2009....HA, little do they know we will be at the happiest place in the world in 38 days!!!:wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

So we've been on vacation...and where was our vacation...none other than Florida. My cousin got married in Lake Wales which is super close to Mouse Heaven. So we are on I4 and my oldest son says...can't we skip the wedding and go to Disney:rotfl2: :rotfl2: I say no, but we'll come back to WDW another time...and he says, but Mom I don't think I can wait until 2009...thats SOOOOO long! (we always tell them our next trip will likely be in 09) it was so hard not to say, well actually we'll be back in 30 days...especially since I am so excited. We did however promise a few hours at Downtown Disney before we went home, and of course I took pictures!:goodvibes

It was a Saturday night and it was PACKED! I m hoping our time in Sept won't be so packed!

Then when we got home, I had all of my travel documents waiting on me so now I just have to get everything ready! My DH said you had better get a movin on hthe Disney OCD...only a month before we go!!! WAHOO!

Oh..... the teeze of DTD. If you didn't tell them then, you'll be able to follow this through.

Just caught up! I love that your boys go to a French school. How cool is that they can speak French! I've always wanted to learn another language. Also really cute t-shirt ideas. I especially like the stick people one!

Im in...love your report so far. I always wanted to surprise my son with a trip to Disney, but I cant keep secrets!;)

I love it too, I wish I could speak more than one language. Everyone gives me a hard time saying that French is useless, but its really just the point of being bilingual, that makes it easier to pick up other languages as they get older!

I didn't think I could either, but it's kinda fun...hopefully it doesn't backfire on me!

I hope so!

Ok so I perusing the dining board, and looking at all of the pictures, and drooling...of course I m also "teaching" kids typing right now, really I just supervise and tell them to put their hands in good position...anyways on to the important things, our disney trip :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

So last time we came back I did 2/3 of a trip report and didn't finish, but this time I m determined to finish...I want to do a dining report too but that's alot to take on, so I was thinking I may turn my two boys loose with their camera's and give them the "job" of a dining report...that could be fun and interesting, and good reading/typing practice for my 7 and 8 year olds!

I need to get on TGM and figure out plan's and take notes, that will happen next week when DD starts school! I also need to call and get tix for MNSSHP. I m pumped to see what costumes come out on the 18th from disney! 29days

So today I called and ordered our MNSSHP tix, and got a reservation for Kona cafe on our arrival day instead of O'hana. THey had a Kona ressie at 8:10, which is much preferable over the 9:45 O'hana reservation.

25 days:banana:  :cloud9:

Good job on the ADR. I could never eat that late and definitely can't expect the kids to eat that late. When I called for ADR for Chef Mickey's for a party of 10 I was given 9:45 PM. I like Mickey but not that much.

Ok, so part of the problem with me is by "planning" is that I over think it, and our plans change...I don't see this as a problem, but DH thinks it's so funny. Anyways, after thinking on it a ton...I m not sure I want to AK the first day...or at all. I mean I would love to ride EE (DH and the boys did it last time while I was with DD) but we are arriving late that day, it is an EMH day at AK and we all know AK is the hottest park there is. So DH says, why don't we go to a waterpark...I think that is a fabulous idea, so now I just need to upgrade our 4 day base tix...or purchase seperate waterpark tix....leaning towards upgrading though, so that we have hoppers. So in doing all of that I m thinking after the waterpark we will spend the evening in Epcot, so I called to check for a ressie at Coral Reef for our first night...there was nothing. I then checked for Rose and Crown, and scored a 6:20pm...I think that will be nice. I m keeping Kona until I make up my mind for sure later this week.

In other news today was oldest DS's birthday, and we gave him a digital camera...and then took him to lunch, where I quickly taught him how to take pics of food.:rotfl:
So not only will I do a TR but DS's will do a food report!
Here's a little practice run from lunch today...

All of the kids started off with milkshakes.

THen the birthday boy had the grilled ahi tuna!

Everything was good, but the service was a little slow.

Then we went to the Disney store, the kids kept asking can we have this, what about this "But mom we won't be back at Disney for a whole year...please" so I got to be the meanie and say no...when I wanted to say "ONLY 24 days until we'll be seeing the castle, and kissing the mouse" but I couldn't so instead I pretended to be the evil stepmother and said "NO, NO, NO, no disney merchandise for you!" LOL

I'm joining in here as well!

You have such a cute family. My daughter will be 8 next weekend. I'm holding on to 7 as long as I can. They grow up so fast dont they?

I'm sure they will be very excited to be at Disney and know that Great Wolf Lodge will be there later. I do understand though. One time we went to DL but said we were going to their Uncle's for the weekend. During dinner at Pizza Port my daugher said "So when do we get to see our Uncle?" I almost died. :lmao:

Thanks, yes they grow up too fast! I know they'll be out on their own sooner than I will be ready for them to.

Amy,
I'm subscribing so that I can see your plans. We are going to MNSSHP the same night you are going. Karlyn and Gabby are doing BBB earlier in the day and then we will get there around 4. We also have ressies at LTT for about 8 that night but since we are on Mountain time, we will really think it is only 6 so hopefully it will work out. It was the only time we could get and it is a must for our family.

Now I've seen pictures of your kids I'll be watching for you. We are having a couple of matching shirts. You will see the Hawaiian print shirts on my PTR and then we will all have matching red Wish T-shirts thanks to the Disboutiquers especially Piper for making the ones for Karlyn's family and sharing the transfer so that I can get the others ready. I love your designs. They are really cute. Oh and I told all the adults in our family that they didn't have a choice, wear the matching shirts or stay home! Not too hard to make a decision on that one. Once the mom, always the mom!

Denise
