SHHH.. Don't tell the kids

my sister lives in Destin. We are going to visit for a week before heading over to the Fort.
That makes sense. I've never been to Vermont, but I was pretty sure Destin was out of the way on a drive to the Fort.

I'm looking at going back to Destin next summer, then maybe the Fort later.

Hey Medic, I'll be in Destin this coming weekend October 16-19. Sister's wedding. Probably just miss ya.

Down to the last week. Hope it goes by fast. :hourglass
Dw has packed, unpacked and repacked to make sure she has everything for everyone. (She will forget something).
Not going to be much of a surprise for the kids, Grandma posted on facebook and our oldest DD seen it, so now they both know. But old dad still has some surprises up his sleeve. :thumbsup2

But, we are not taking the Florida truck this year. ( To be continued).

So, just to update. I have to try and pack 3 weeks of clothes and supplies,
tent, screen house, stove, electric tea kettle, cots, air bed, 2 coolers, outdoor rug, tarps, adult beverages, emergency supplies, and countless other things into a Rav4.
We'll look like the Beverly Hillbillies pulling into the Fort with everything strapped to the top of the car and covered with a tarp. :rotfl2:
But at least we will be at the Fort. We have a storage unit in Celebration so all the camping gear will only have to make a one way trip.

Just got off the phone with a very friendly CM. Did the early :surfweb: online check-in and requested the 1500 loop, but did not see a area for other special requests. So I called and she added our tent size and canopy size to our ressie and said it would be passed along for check-in. She also said that the loop is not guaranteed, which we already knew.

Just wanted to pass that along.

Would you mind picking me up on your way down? :)

Have a great trip...

That visual makes me laugh. :lmao:
