Hello my friends! I am here.....just finished a long six day work week, soon my new partner should be hired (interviewing Nov 13/14) so hopefully the light at the end of the tunnel is near for my schedule to go back to my comfortable part time!
YEAH Ginny!!! you lucky duck getting to go back again so soon!! I'm green with friendly envy

Enjoy every minute!
And PAS!!!

Yipee for you too! your trip is here already! wow, time flies.....enjoy every second my friend, you deserve a break for sure!
Just for fun, I redid my countdown data on my app to January , 2015 -- when I might get back again, and wowzers!!! that's one long wait, my friends! 813 days!!! oh, how will I stand the interim???
Glad to hear Sarah was able to make it to her DR apt. and has a warm room at the inn for the week! I pray power and normalcy of some sort is up and about as quickly as possible for all those suffering the aftermath of Sandy!
I took my DS Andrew (16) to the eye DR this morning for a checkup of week 2 with contacts -- well, make that officially week 1 and a few times, as he's pretty much gotten convinced he doesn't like them! He hasn't worn them much, he hates putting them in, poking himself in the eye and the dryness of them.....so basically we told the contact lens specialist, he's not going to go with them at this time.....He's more of a glasses boy, I think the responsibility of cleaning and learning to put them in overwhelmed him.....He'd go for daily's but the lens specialist said they are hard to teach to put in being as they are so soft and pliable, they don't hold the shape well for those just learning.....and he's tired of poking himself in the eye!

I guess he's decided glasses are fine for now, maybe he'll try again in the summer so he can wear sunglasses if he likes.
On our way to the appointment, we where talking about our next Disney trip -- he's fine with staying at Kidani ( although he says he'd love to stay at AKL best) -- however, the rooms are just too small with 4 people who aren't complete family. I don't want those kids in the same bed even if they are 18 and graduated!!!

so -- kidani has an extra bathroom ,and the laundry facility in room, so that's two big bonuses. We where trying to decide if it would be worth it to have deluxe dining. That's alot of food!!! and it's currently $99 per person per day, so who knows what it'll be in 2 yrs. I told him even if we get
free dining and only have to pay the upgrade (approx $50 extra a day per person), that works out to $200 extra a day for deluxe dining. I think 200 X 6 = $1,200 would go a long way even if we want to have an appetizer before our meals and have to pay oop! It seems like a huge extra cost..... but I am also a girl who loves simplicity and not thinking about things or nickel and diming myself on vacation, so Deluxe dining would be a wonderful luxury then!
Maybe I can convince myself that because I am forgoing Club Level at Kidani, I am ok to spend the extra to upgrade to deluxe dining, if there is free dining going on! In this instance, it might be best to book direct with CRO, I am still leary of doing the whole points rental thing.....in the end, if free dining is out, I can see it being comparable to what I've paid before to stay at a Deluxe.
Right now I am starting to miss Disney very much!!! I don't want to wish my life away, especially my last yr. or 2 with my youngest son getting ready to graduate in 2014 -- but I would so love to go back again, I feel like our last trip was a bit of a flop in some ways, so much hope and excitement built up, and it didn't go as perfectly as I had hoped!!! I am praying that this time with my DH by my side, and Andrew and his girlfriend going that we can have a much better time! my heart is pining for Disney though!
