Wow! Small world! We just moved from Florence to Kissimmee on August 30th! I had lived there for over 10 years! I just transferred from Dior in Crestview to Guerlain in Orlando--same store. We probably know lots of the same people!

Missed you too Deena!! :hug: Good luck on the job hunt! :)

Thanks Janet!

Deena happy to see you back here! My trip was wonderful ... keep telling DH I'd love to live there! But no way either of my kids would move there!

So worried about Sarah!!!

I'm happy to be back!! I'm glad you had a good trip!! I'm worried about Sarah too!!

And the winner for the one night stay for MVMCP issssssssssssssssssssssssssssss.....

Polynesian (no snack room...but so far HRH doesn't mind) :santa:

Woo Hoo! I doubt it's the last change though :)

Hello all! :goodvibes

Jen, Sheila, Linda, Marie, I_Heart, DetTigsGal, DznyCrzy11, Deena, Kooksterama ... I'm sure I'm missing someone... these are for you: :woohoo::hug::thumbsup2

Hi :wave:

WOOHOO :banana: dr says I am healing great and to keep doing what I am doing. Another follow up on Nov 26th, then off to Disney Dec 1st :dance3: I think today is the last day I am picking up the kids early and next week I am going to attempt car line, we will see how that goes.

Deena So glad you got a new laptop and can get back to job searching and of course staying caught up with the RC gals ;) Ill message you on FB with my itinerary or what I think it is going to be since DS told me yesterday that he didnt care what I needed to change, but he NEEDS to have lunch at Via Napoli ::yes::

I got your message! I'll take a look at it and see when will be good!! Glad you're healing! We had dinner (and sangria) at Via Napoli tonight--amazing as always!!!

Well my friends, all this loss and heartache is reminding me that life is short and making memories is so important. I think I am going to price out a BC/Poly split when I get home.

Amen to that! Sounds like a good call. It must be devastating to see all the sights up there :(

~~~~~~~~YAY I just had my first multiquote in months!!! It felt good :cheer2:
Lacey - Congtrats to DS's team! I am sure you have plenty of free time for the mums ;) Sorry you got sick while in Disney :( and WOW on the bleach....that IS scary!!!!! That could have really hurt someone!
Well I took a little snooze on the couch, that trip out to the dr wiped me out ;) My BP was sky high at the dr, and I commented and the nurse said its just the pain and not to worry. Funny how the times I am there in pain my BP is sky high but when I'm okay it's perfectly normal.
thanks Melissa! Look for updates on FB today! We can't wait for the game. Hope the nap made you feel better!
Lacey... so thankful you were not hurt! :hug: You both were very gracious about the incident, not others would be so. And congrats to your DS' football team!! Good luck in the game!! So nice of you to make flowers for the moms/grandmoms. :flower3:!! :wave2:
thank you Janet! There is no reason not to be gracious at Disney. I have never known them not to make it right!
It is very, very sad out here. I have sent a ton of clothes to shelters and churches. Tomorrow I am going to NJ's (a warehouse store) to buy bulk of nonperishables and water to bring to the shelters. They finally cancelled the marathon, thank God!
Dani - you are awesome to help!
basketlacey - Wow! I'm sorry about your shirt, that's not shallow! :flower3:. That must have been scary for a minute! :scared
I knew I was fine by the time I realized what happened. It was more shock about how in the world I was sprayed with bleach! Dh said, it was probably just a little bit mixed with water. But then as the shirt dried and the color disappeared we realized it was strong enough! Dh and the kids positioned themselves strategically in our photos that day so it wouldn't show! Lol
yay for the new laptop!!
Good Morning everyone!! :wave2:
Lots to do today! DD8 has 4 hours of play rehearsal and we have to get all of our grocery/Target shopping done so we are all set before DH leaves.
Plus, I need to free up the day tomorrow so I can take the girls to see Wreck-It-Ralph! We're so excited! :goodvibes
Good morning ladies :) today is a big day....DH is going to take me to BJ's to shop, LOL!! And tomorrow he is taking me to the grocery store, HAHA! He has been great doing the shopping but sending him with a list just isn't the same as going. I think trying to do both in one day will be too much for me so we are splitting it up. I really wanted to go see Wreck It Ralph with the kiddos but I just can't sit for that long yet :( I told DH he could take them without me, but they all said they would wait until I can go :) I am still looking at my upcoming Dis plans to see what I can tweak ;)
Janet - thanks once again for keeping us posted on Sarah. I think I could handle baked potatoes and thin mints for dinner ;) She has amazing spirit and strength!!! I hope you are doing well! What is on your agenda for the weekend?
Dani - what you are doing is amazing! We always talk to the kids about donating to those in need and how important it is. I saw on the news that there are places down here in FL collecting donations of non perishables and paper goods to send up there. Hopefully no one is going without basic needs, so sad. Did you price out a vacation yet?
IHTM - hope we are slowing down to a pace your semi ADD brain can handle ;) one of my BF's has ADD and i am always getting her back on track while we are talking, lol! Plus DD has severe ADHD so I do totally understand :)
Linda - I know how you feel, FL has sent a lot of power trucks up there too and I wish I could direct one right to Sarah. So many of the utility workers here rushed to get up there as we have gotten help from so many other states in our times of need. Hope you had a nice quiet evening of knitting :)
Deena - We have only eaten lunch at Via Napoli and will again in Dec, but I am looking forward to dinner there in Feb. Glad you got to enjoy it last night!
Lacey - looks like you were up nice and early with game excitement! I hope they come home Toy Bowl champs!!!!
Candace - I am jealous you are seeing it Wreck It Ralph this weekend. Sounds like a busy day ahead! Enjoy!!!!
Waving to Shelia, Ginny, Jeanette, Jen, Miss, Cynthia, and everyone else I am missing :)
Off to Bridgeport for band NE championships, our band performs at 8:59....it's going to be a cold nite.
Way to go, Dani...getting supplies to those in need.
A little story; I'm friends with a women on fb that I got to know thru someone elses trip reports on the dis, she lives in Astoria and her fire station was collecting items to take to the Rockaways. She put out a message for locals who had items and it ended up turning into hundreds of dollars, 2 trips to Costco and 3 trips to the fire house to drop off items. I'm sure there are many other stories like this, it is amazing the power of fb and the dis in doing good !!
For those that don't know...Christmas is my favorite holiday!!! :hyper:
I like that!! We were at Home Depot earlier today and saw an inflatable Minnie and Mickey on a sled! It was cute but I couldn't bring myself to pay $63 for it!! I may change my mind next week. :laughing:
Hahaha! That's what DH said because I was hemming and hawing over whether to buy it or not. He pointed out that I always find stuff like this early in the season and decide not to spend the money and then change my mind later, only to find that the item is no longer available. :sad1:
So, he grabbed it off the shelf and threw it in the cart and told me I'm getting it. :rotfl:
Hi everyone!
Had DD4 friends b-day party at Build a bear today, it was really well done! All the kids had a good time, but now DD8 is vomiting on us tonight. UGH!!:crazy2:
We had Burger King for lunch thinking it was a "treat" but we should know better, the kids don't tolerate fast food that well, especially her. Hoping that is all it is.
I am so far behind here...sorry everyone!!
Basketlacey Oh my gosh about the bleach incident, so glad your eyes weren't injured!
Candace: Love the snowglobe...so cute!!
Melissa: I am glad you are feeling a wee bit better, and that is sweet the kids want to wait to see Wreck it Ralph until you are better.
Deena:Hi!!:wave2: I hope you find a better job situation....and keep enjoying yummy dinners at Epcot!
Sarah: I really really hope your situation at home continues to improve...worried still and sending hugs!:grouphug:
To everyone else, I fell too far behind but I am sending hugs out to all! :grouphug:
Jen
We have to go over this yet again but here is what we are thinking:
1900 Park Fare dinner - arrival day then MK
Hoop Dee doo - AK day
Be Our Guest - MK day
Garden Grill (or other at Epcot...still undecided)
50's primetime - HS day (undecided about this too, may leave and go to Boardwalk area to eat or head back to POR and swim and eat there)
first three days are good, next two have to be sorted. :coffee:
Jenny sorry to hear about your DD. :sick: Danimal has a sensitive tummy. If he has too much sugar you do NOT want to be around. :scared1:
I haven't priced out our trip for next year. I am going to do that tonight. For the price of an AoA suite I can stay at BC. Why "slum it"? lol :rotfl:
Ok it is revised already
arrival day MK - 1900 park fare, than head to MK evening
AK - late breakfast at Tusker House
MK - Be Our Guest
Epcot - Le Cellier dinner
HS - 50's prime time OOP
Thanks Dani...I am hoping it is just an isolated thing. She does also have a sensitive tummy, poor thing!
Oooh a BC / Poly split sounds amazing!!
Ok...nix Hoop Dee doo and add in Le Cellier dinner instead. DH doesn't want to spend too much time traveling for restaurants. Plus he LOVED Le Cellier!!
Ok, changed a few more things. The above list is pretty solid now.
The only place I like at DHS is Sci-Fi. That's a tough place to find a good meal, but you could go to one of the Epcot resorts too...:confused3
Yes it will either be 50's or Sci-fi. We will see. :coffee: Sorry Candace I see that was an inflatable not a snow globe!
Hi RCers,
I know we have lots of moms with little ones, I could really use your advice.
Which would you choose for a lunch with a 5 year old-Mama Melrose or Via Napoli? Or, are they about the same? :scratchin
I appreciate your help! :worship:
My kids absolutely loved Via Napoli. They didn't even eat the pizza, but they said they had the best pasta with butter EVER!!!
We are going back next trip because they loved it so much! :goodvibes
Haven't been to Mama Melroses since we were in college (in 2000), but I remember thinking it was good!
