I have contemplated switching from Poly to BC to be within walking distance from EPCOT but as you said, Poly just has a certain magical feel and is a great location!!!

Sent from my GalaxyS II

Ahhhh, the Poly :lovestruc Pure Disney Magic! :wizard:

That damn castle cost me fortune during our trips!
Not only did we have to stay CL -love the lounge:goodvibes But I had to have lagoon view and face castle. I'd go to bed and wake up looking at the castle.

I tried to book garden views but would always go back to lagoon view. Even my DD said we were spending to much money

Gah, the Castle View in Hawaii is my weakness. I agree, too much money but soooooo worth it! :hyper:

There's that pesky snack room...I totally understand :rolleyes1

::yes::

Marie - HA HA I just made the big DS's eye appt for his annual. He had a hard time with the contacts as well in the beginning. We did the dailies for a few years now are finally going to ask for the 2 week ones. Snow tires sound so foreign to me know, growing up in New England we obviously had them, but no need for them in South Florida ;) oh and I may FB stalk you, lol!

Miss - DS didn't get any worse, so off to school we went today ;) oh and sorry to rat you out with your bday, lol! But you deserve lots of bday love!!!!

Jeanette - glad the girls are going along with he royal rooms!!

Jenna - your trip sounds great! I think if my kids were older and we stayed longer I would consider a split stay.

i_heart - why would you change CR? I think that is such a perfect spot for NYE!!!! OH NO! NO NON-REFUNDABLE ROOMS ALLOWED!!!!!

Debrn - I know what you mean, we fell in love with YC but my crew were totally lacking any love for WL this weekend. Funny how everyone feels the magic at different places.

Waving to Dani, Shelia, Linda, Muffycat and anyone else I am missing!

I'll still get to see Fantasy in the Sky from the CR, it will just be on 12/30 and not 12/31.

Me too Melissa

And I think IATM is ch-ch-changing for the snack room...but yes CR on NYE pixiedust: But she still gets fireworks!!

Kinda sorta. Not surprised I confused anyone with my craziness! :hyper:

So here it is, I made the change and added in a surprise!

12/30-12/31 - CR MKV CL for MK fireworks
12/31-1/2 - Dolphin Epcot View for Epcot NYE fireworks
1/2-1/5 - BC CL
1/5-1/7 GF SL.... Where did that come from??? Well, I need to end the trip at a MK resort of course!:lovestruc

So yep, I did it. I booked a non-refundable. If I have to change after that I guess I'll just tell DH not to get me anything for Christmas

Here we go on another 4 way split :faint:. I cannot wait to tell the kids!!! They know we'll go again (we always go again :lmao:) but they don't know when or where and I'm saving it for a Christmas surprise! :santa: :bitelip:

I booked Dolphin for new years eve through WDW Reservations. I went to give my credit card to pay in full and the CM could not get my payment accepted although it did store my credit card. Found out it's because they're not owned by Disney so they can reserve room for you but I had to call dolphin directly to make a payment. So I called the dolphin and they confirmed my reservation and said that if I wanted, I could pay my balance in full the day I arrive. They also told me I could cancel my reservation as long as it's 5 days prior to arrival. So idk what this pre-paid no cancellation came from but i had no trouble with paying in full the day I get there and can cancelled if needed!

I_heart_the_mouse- your trip sounds fantastic. I had originally had new years eve booked at POR but to be able to walk to epcot and boardwalk fun that night, it wasn't that much more expensive to book dolphin! I'm very happy with my change and super excited to stay at 3 different resorts, 2 of which I've never stayed at (dolphin and Pop)!!!

O...M...G... I booked online directly with the Dolphin. Prepaid was the only option it gave me. I didn't know you could book S/D though CRO :faint:

I didn't know either! But when I called CRO to cancel my POR reservation, the CM gladly offered to book dolphin for me! AND the room quote was about $20 cheaper than what online quoted!!!

Yours sounds great too! Have a blast in the parks that night! Walking back to your room will be so worth it! :cool1:

OMG Stop it! I feel like such a loser now! Better not tell my DH I screwed this one up. :rotfl2:

All kidding aside, I'm glad you posted this info. It's always great to have more info in my RCing arsenal for future trips! :goodvibes

Haha you are not a loser!! You just have plans that are set in stone now!!! Although I think your plan sounds perfect so y

Hi Jenna,
Welcome! Thanks for posting the info about the Dolphin reservation via CRO. I had no idea that was possible.
I always appreciate learning more about WDW! :goodvibes

Hello ladies!

Iheart: Your trip sounds fab!! Don't feel too bad about the booking Snafu with the Dolphin, it sounds like something I would do!:goodvibes

Miss: I love the 'torture device' for the dog! What kind of costume is it?? After that Disneyland email, I am obsessively checking my email for something else!

Jeanette: Ok....now you can tell all the details about POR!! Although we can't fit in a Royal Room I would love to hear all about it!!

Melissa: glad your DS is feeling better...:)

Dani: Yes I would love to get together for a meet up if we are there at the same time!

So...here are some rough plans for our trip May 15 - 20

-Arrive Wednesday afternoon, head to MK, and 1900 Park Fare for dinner at GF (DD6 was begging to go back and see the 'Grand forilllian' when we were there) spend night at MK

-Thursday AK, Hoop Dee doo dinner show (we have never done this!:goodvibes)

-Friday MK all day with BOG dinner hopefully!!::yes::

-Sat HS all day, with no ressies, maybe OOP for 50's primetime or elsewhere

-Sun Epcot all day, with either Chefs de France, La Hacineda, or Via Napoli dinner

- Monday hang around and swim, then leave

Thoughts?? Although I am sure this will change many times!:rotfl:

Hi to Magic, Ginny, and all our new RCers!!

Jen

PAS :thumbsup2 So glad to know you loved Kidani! where you in a one bdrm or 2 bdrm villa? MY WHOLE family (DH and my 2 boys) LOVE, LOVE, LOVE AKL -- it's actually our favourite, so I am sure we will adore Kidani. We've stayed at BC CL, Poly CL and they've even wanted to go to AKL, so that speaks volumes to the wonderful feeling we get at AKL :) I think it'll always hold top spot in our hearts. If we do stay at Kidani, I don't think we will be able to split with BWI because , 1) the cost is just too much -- it will be costly to stay at Kidani with the Deluxe dining plan, so we might as well stay put.
2) Don't want to have to add on extra tickets just to keep our DDP
3) we'll be there for a short time (6 days max) -- so unpacking and settling is more our style.
I really think Kidani will offer us everything we need in the one bedroom , it looks absoulutely beautiful! I love the lion king tile, just another sweet touch to make it so beautiful. The only thing we are going to miss is that darn snack room! I have never been without CL and I feel lost thinking about not having it -- I think with DLX dining though we should be set, we'll have refillable mugs and I can always buy some pop to keep in the fridge if need be.

Melissa and Miss out and about, I got your FB friends requests! :) YEAH!! it's nice to "meet you" feel free to stalk away, melissa :)

Marie

I absolutely love staying at multiple resorts on 1 trip. I am counting down the days until our New Years trip. We arrive on 12/29 for 2 nights at Pop Century, then I booked 1 night at the Dolphin for new years eve to be able to walk over to Epcot, and finally, checking in New Years Day for 6 nights at Animal Kingdom Kidani in a savannah view studio. Am I crazy to be switching around so much?! My Itinerary sounds PERFECT to me! ;)

:welcome: We have a few RCers who do some WILD split stays grumpygrandma is there right now!!! So I don't think you're crazy...if it works for you...all good :thumbsup2

Congrats on ringing in the 2013 in the World!!! :cheer2:

Split stay ..... who me? This trip BWV, AKV, VWL, and now OKW! :rotfl2:

sjs314: Thanks. Still another chance to meet... I checked my ADRs last night and I actually have Whoopie CP for Dec 1st and 2nd, too. My cousin will be hooking up with so we made a few to cover our bases til he decides which cruise to take... :rotfl:

babyberger:
Glad your trip got better and better! We really like LTT, too. Glad you all picked CR for your Feb trip. We will be at CR late Feb/Mar. One of our faves. Wishing you all the best Friday. :rainbow:

pas130: Royally terrific! princess: I hope the pas's are feeling better!

chimo2u: Welcome back. Your next trip with BWI/Kidani sounds swell. :thumbsup2 Keep warm.

Grumpy Grandma: Do tell all about your thoughts on OKW. I have a first-time ressie there soon and I'd love to hear your thoughts. :listen:

Basketlacey: Separate rooms are a must. When My BFF and I take our annual trip we always pay for jumbo suites with separate bedrooms to get away from one another. Nothing like going away with another person, couple or group to hit home just what creatures of our own habits we all become. ;)

Missoutandabout: Hope you had a great :joker: birthday, are you a Libra, too? Can't even imagine BOG lunch atmosphere with that dreaded Fantasyland squeeze. :crowded:

Jungle Cruiser: Best wishes for the clinical trial so you're your healthy best for WDW for NYE! :earsboy:

I may add on points at OKW ..... they keep playing beach music .... what can I say? Of course last week I was going to add on at AKV and/or VWL!!! :rotfl2: There are things about the resort I like and some I am not so crazy about. It is very spread out. I booked in the HH area so I am close to everything. I'm in a studio and I don't care for the bathroom .... all one room sink isn't separate. Two beds instead of a bed and couch like the other DVC resorts ... good or bad depending on the group. There is something about the theme that just makes this California girl happy. BWV didn't give me the same feeling ... not sure why. I'm also a mountain girl .... think Lake Tahoe .... which explains my love of WL.

Magic - thanks for the well wishes. I am hoping we feel some CR love in Dec, because if not we will be at YC for sure ;)

i_heart - glad you got it all figured out and even added in a little GF:)

Jen - plans look good. It will be fun to watch them evolve ;)

Marie - very nice to meet you "in person" lol!!!!

Linda - because of you I spent last night looking into DVC. But we decided its not for us right now. But is appears you are having a phenomenal time!!!!

Good night all :)

:rotfl2: DVC isn't for everyone. It works for us since we only stay in a studio therefore we can stretch a small amount of points into quite a few days. If you change your mind I would suggest buying resale .... save quite a bit of money.

Yeah I think because we would always need at least a one bdrm and up changing our dates so often we wouldn't be able to book what we really want. And after DH's misery with WL this past weekend, I don't want to end up where he isn't happy. But I do have my eyes open on the resales, you just never know ;)
