Thank you...it is pretty isn't it?? :flower3: I am a horticulturist by trade so I am also excited about the Flower and Garden at Epcot! I am hoping it will be on then.

I am actually NOT much of a flower person...I have allergies...and just tend to stay away...BUT, I am totally looking forward to all of the character topiaries that will be out! :yay:

Good morning ladies! Sorry I've been quiet... :wave2: Let's see how far I can get before I need to shut down my PC; it's thundering out! CRAZY weather!

Good morning! Been busy with doctors. All is good, in the treatment chair starting a new clinical trial today. Time to get healthy so I can go to WDW for NYE!

:grouphug: Yes yes yes, healthy to ring in the New Year in style... and in your favourite vacation destination. :goodvibes Thinking of you.

As for me... I am feeling much better now after a very nasty bacterial infection that I learned I've had for some time. My Dr admitted Thursday that she wanted to hospitalize me a few weeks ago when she first saw me. I never knew I was feeling bad until now that I can't believe how great I feel.

As for RCing: We received the invite for the New Fantasyland preview, but decided there was not enough reason to go. We'll just wait til the hard open. It will be more fun with thousands of our closest friends.

I am finally getting excited to plan for WDW in November. I just wasn't feeling it while it was still so hot here. We'll go right after we get back from our cabin for Thanksgiving.

Yikes. Sorry about the  ... are you back to normal now that they figured out what was wrong?

I laughed at the thousands of our closest friends... :crowded: You're getting CLOSE! Can't believe that Thanksgiving is coming up so soon.

I am happy to have figured out a resort though, that's half the battle! Now to hope there are still good discounts in 2014/15

Marie

Yay! Let the fun begin (planning!) ...:cool1:

... But LTT exceeded expectations and everyone was happy. Finally I did something right this weekend

I let the kids each pick one more ride then we headed over to CR to check it out. DH looked at me as we were walking around and said he felt like he was in an airport.

I'm glad things perked up on your lil' stay. My hubs says the EXACT same thing about CR. :lmao:

What'd you have at LTT that you enjoyed? With all these recent kudos, I kinda wish we'd kept our ressie this past September!

Sometimes a vacation just works and sometimes it doesn't.

This woman speaketh the truth. ::yes::

YAY!!! Today we booked our flights for May!!! Only one change....the flights are for all of us!! When it came down to it, DH and I really wanted the kids to come too.... and we are both unsure about leaving them also. We figure there will be time later to do an adults only at Disney. Maybe we can sneak away for a night sometime instead. So...I will be booking the resort soon because ADR's will be in less then a month!

May 15 - 20th POR....and SWW!!! Yahoo!!!

Now will hope for a discount for May...but even if not, it still seems like a deal after paying for the Poly for 2 years in a row!!

Jen

Loooooooooooooooooooove it! And SWW! YAY! So happy for you all... and so cool that you're taking the kiddos with you.

What is UP with Southwest?!?!? Seriously....I have never seen their fares so high!! I usually would buy on the day they are released and took a gamble after watching SW fares for close to my April dates, and I booked with Jet Blue instead because I got tickets for my family of four for $950!!! It's out of Boston though, which is annoying since I LIVE in Manchester...but soooooo glad I did book them!!! I thought I would regret it today once SW fares came out but the cheapest option for non stop RT is $2400!!!!!

They've been insane! Every time I check our flights, they've sky-rocketed. I'm really happy I booked a long time ago ... (not so happy about the return flight in Jan. though -- got a stop since the direct was crazy-money.) :confused3

Don't worry. I've had bottles, drinks and a big bar tab everytime I go.

Last year I went with a friend. After hearing everything we drank my DD said "most mothers go to Disney World for the rides and fun, my mother goes to be a alcoholic"!

Note she's 21 now and can't wait to have a drink at Epcot.

:lmao: Hahahaha, that is classic. Sounds like something my kiddo will be saying about me. :rolleyes1

:thumbsup2But when I keep looking I change.....

Our latest RC I'd like to credit to my Princess...HRH....

Gave them a choice...but it would be one resort, all three nights...any snack room hotel....what do they pick (well HRH, the sisters agree to everything...)

AoA Lion King

You're killin' me! No WL CL now?! :rotfl::faint: (Those suites do look darn cute though, eh?)

I was going to try to send DS to school, got him up and dressed, etc. He isnt running a fever and isnt sneezing, but is so congested and then started complaining he was nauseous. So I bit the bullet and kept him home. I know if he doesnt feel good at school it will be one melt down after another.

Well DS is home with me and now that all the meds are kicking in he is feeling a bit better and VERY bored as I will not let him turn on his laptop, he is home sick afterall. At least I am getting laundry done and caught up with my RC girls

Poor kiddo. Hope he feels better quick. :goodvibes

And the trip is the icing on the cake!! Booked it this morning....May here we come!!!

Now we just have to wait for the comments from everyone "WHAT??? YOU ARE GOING AGAIN???" To which I will say :p !

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay for being booked! Yes, that is the appropriate response to that question. :lmao:

Miss - Why do I have nothing to comment on for you??? Hope you had a great birthday :goodvibes Did you do anything special?

Thank you! We went out to a local park for a walk-around in the afternoon. Had dinner at a little German / Beer restaurant. All low-key but relaxing stuff. My best present was being able to sleep in until 8:40! :lmao:  (... that and a handmade card from the kiddo :lovestruc )

Miss: Did I miss your birthday??? So so sorry!! Here is a belated :bday:

Thank you! :goodvibes

Miss, Happy Belated Birthday!!!

Thanks, Sarah!

Good morning! Been busy with doctors. All is good, in the treatment chair starting a new clinical trial today. Time to get healthy so I can go to WDW for NYE!

My apologies, I am so far behind I know I am going to forget someone, but here I go.

Melissa, sorry you had a rocky start to the weekend and your family was disappointed in the WL. Sounds like things got better though! :). Sorry I am behind, when is your surgery?

Sending you good thoughts for the clinical trial :goodvibes :grouphug: Surgery is this Friday  My mom is coming down the night before to take me to the hospital so DH can get the kids ready and off to school. Hopefully I will be home and resting in my bed by late morning/early afternoon! I am not looking forward to the pain afterwards but I know in the long run I will be more comfortable than I am now.

Melissa: Yes it was eating me up. I truly haven't been sleeping well since we decided to do adults only. DH says I always am a kooky sleeper when I am feeling guilty about something. :worried:

I have been also bothered because I have not been involved at the school as much this year with the DD's. But now I am going to volunteer in the youngest class once a week before work, and am going on any field trips all three of them have. Oh and I am waiting to hear back if they want me for that lunch supervisor one day a week too. So....all seems to be falling into place now.

And the trip is the icing on the cake!! Booked it this morning....May here we come!!!:dance3::yay::cheer2:

Now we just have to wait for the comments from everyone "WHAT??? YOU ARE GOING AGAIN???" To which I will say :p !

Sounds like all is falling into place :thumbsup2 Sometimes just stepping back and figuring out what is important to YOU is all that it takes. Its funny becuase I am actually backing away more from the kid's school activities. I found that I was burning myself out volunteering and needed the time the kids were at school do what I needed to get done and sneak in some "do nothing, mental break" mornings.

I am actually NOT much of a flower person...I have allergies...and just tend to stay away...BUT, I am totally looking forward to all of the character topiaries that will be out! :yay:

They are really very cool! We have been a few times becuase of DD's bday and it is always so much fun to look at all of it.

Thank you...it is pretty isn't it?? :flower3: I am a horticulturist by trade so I am also excited about the Flower and Garden at Epcot! I am hoping it will be on then.

When does it end? I know when we go mid to end of April it is on, but not sure when in May it comes down :confused3

Melissa

Miss So glad you had a relaxing bday and got to sleep in :yay: Sometimes those are the best days!

At LTT DH and I shared the turkey dinner and the pot roast, we couldnt decide, so sharing made the most sense ;) They were both excellent, the turkey maybe edged out the pot roast by smidge. Next time I want to try the salad, that looked really good too! And of course we had to have the Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake for dessert....YUMMY!!!! Kiddos did not enjoy their pasta, had too many veggies in it, oh well, they filled up on rolls, french fries, and ice cream, not the healthiest meal, but IT IS Disney :rolleyes1 DH even said that is a must do again!

Jeanette - Okay, so AoA Lion King for all 3 nights, no WL, no Poly? Oh sorry about the stomach bug, YUCK :crazy2: I was going to try to send DS to school, got him up and dressed, etc. He isnt running a fever and isnt sneezing, but is so congested and then started complaining he was nauseous. So I bit the bullet and kept him home. I know if he doesnt feel good at school it will be one melt down after another.
Better to have him home! Forgive me, I HATE calls from the school nurse, so I always err on the side of caution...I went to work last night and was sent home early.. called out for tonight...that's probably another good reason to budget...

Good morning! Been busy with doctors. All is good, in the treatment chair starting a new clinical trial today. Time to get healthy so I can go to WDW for NYE!

pas, sorry to hear you and HRH got a bug this weekend. Better now than in a few weeks. I would say something about your new accommodations for next month, but I suspect our Queen is not done changing! :confused3
I don't feel done...I think HRH was on a whim, and can be nudged to change perhaps...I liked the LM rooms :guilty:

Lots of hugs and prayers and RC pixie dust by the galloons Sarah

You passed your tests!!!! I knew you would!!! You are so amazing

Jeanette: Thanks for the kind words!! I am sure you are going to love AOA...I must hear everything!

I have been also bothered because I have not been involved at the school as much this year with the DD's. YOU GO SUPERMOM!!!!!!!!!!!! :dance3: AoA doesn't feel like "it". I am not settled....maybe I will look at more pictures...

WOOHOO FOR SWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:dance3:

Thank you...it is pretty isn't it?? I am a horticulturist by trade so I am also excited about the Flower and Garden at Epcot! I am hoping it will be on then.
You will hit the tailend of F&G!!!

You're killin' me! No WL CL now?! :rotfl::faint: (Those suites do look darn cute though, eh?)

I am so sorry...I missed your birthday...I stink :sad1:

Happy belated birthday!!!!!

Hello there RCers,
I am going to try to catch up a bit today.

Marie, I liked both of your ideas, Kidani and BWI Deluxe CL. What a special trip you’re planning! :thumbsup2

Missout, Happy belated birthday! :cheer2:

Basketlacey, An Oct Food and Wine couples trip will be fun to plan! Those Deluxe rooms at BWI probably would be too cozy for couples. I agree with you, it would be nice if each couple had their own room. We have stayed at POFQ before during Oct. It’s not quite as convenient as the Epcot resorts, but it worked out. Maybe that might be another good option. It’s such a nice, relaxing resort.:cool1:

Sarah, You’re in my thoughts. Your New Years at WDW sounds like the perfect way to welcome 2013.

Magic
, WDW will be so pretty when you visit- holiday decorations, everywhere!:thumbsup2

Jenny
-A WDW visit in May will be beautiful! Great new ticker, and it looks like Jiminy Cricket is stopping by for a swim. :rotfl:

Melissa
, I agree-LTT is yummy! Hope all goes well with your surgery on Fri. We will be thinking of you.

Pas, I so understand the preference for a snack hotel.

I am trying to pace myself a bit this week. I had a couple of go rounds with migraines in the past few days, and it wears me out. I’m not doing anything more than some laundry and checking the earthcam for the pending giraffe birth. http://www.earthcam.com/usa/southcarolina/greenville/

Waving hi the the RC friends I missed!

Oh and don't feel bad about missing Miss' bday, I only knew becuase of FB ;)

Thank you, thank you! I am sorry you are suffering with migraines. My brother had them so badly as a child, one year my mom had to fight not to have him held back he missed so much school from them. I hope this bout passes soon and the last of the migraines is over for now :goodvibes

------

I am sitting here updating my ADR's and schedules for Dec and Feb and forgot to mention that DH said I should keep the Dessert Party. We walked by while one was going on and he said he liked that is was kept to as many tables are there and thought it would be fun. I told him that I thought it would just be too late and he said we will make sure to have some downtime (we know the kids wont nap, even though we probably could) in the afternoon so they arent as tired and cranky as they usually are on travel day.

With my change of dates for Feb, I have lost BoG dinner again. Twice now I have had to cancel that :sad2: I will keep looking though, I know they pop up all the time.

Off to head out to carline to pick up DD, then hopefully run to the grocery store once the older DS gets home and can watch the kiddos.

Have a great afternoon!
Melissa

Oh and don't feel bad about missing Miss' bday, I only knew becuase of FB ;)
I still feel bad :sad1: I missed her birthday..

I did easy dinner...pot roast! And DS4 is napping so I am just chilling out, awaiting the afterschool shennigans...and conference with the Royal Court to discuss our resort choice ;)

So surgery for you Melissa is Friday??

Awwww, migraines are the worst..hope it subsides soon

That darn snack room !!!!!!!!!!!!!![/QUOTE]

:lmao: YES that's sure hard to give up!! I've never gone NON- CL, so that's walking in foreign territory for me!!! but DS Andrew (16) said he would forgo snack room/ CL to try DLX dining plan next time!!! Thanks for the welcome back, I am feeling better -- focusing on helping my cousin from England plan his trip for May, then even though my next stay is about 2.5 yrs away, it'll go fast, I am sure.....and I have you all to keep me company in the meantime! Do you like my Kidani 1 BDRM villa idea?? it sure seems to have everything we need, and we do know that we love the AKL hotel as a whole, so I am sure, Kidani will be beautiful.

GWYNNE Thanks for your :thumbsup2.... I think I am going to go with the Kidani 1 BDRM for the whole 6 days..... I like the idea of a split stay, but I don't want to have to pay for extra tickets by moving resorts half way through....also it's easier just to unpack and settle. Even though we won't be Club Level, the extra space in the 1 BDRM will give us room to sit and relax if we are ever back at the room, I find we are usually at the parks so much once we get moving, that we don't really have much down time -- only back to sleep and shower then off running again the next day! I like the idea of Kidani plus Deluxe dining -- I just hope it doesn't price me out of it in the next 2 yrs, the way prices are rising each year!! :crazy2:

Sarah Good luck on your trial -- I pray for lots of pixie dust and good news! You are strong, and such an inspiration.... I am thinking of you!

Jenny looks like you'll be in the world around the same time as I am planning for my cousin -- May 19-30. I am hoping to get him into AKL with the Deluxe Dining Plan, He's from England, so it'll be quite the holiday for them! He's a single dad travelling with his 3 boys for a first time visit. There seems to be sooo much we take forgranted that I am trying to divulge to him, but there is just so much info!!! I'm trying to at least get him a discount of some sort and I'll help him plan his park days/ and ADRS.

It's getting cold here, temps are beginning to fall below 0 celcius for us -- closer to the -(minus)7 degree mark right now! i just got my snow tires on the other day, thankful for my earlier-made appointment because all tire shops in my area are running high tilt and have no more appointments left -- they are working on walk ins now!!! NOTE to self: ALWAYS have a tire swap appointment made by mid OCT!!!! I will make that a definite rule to follow every yr! I feel fairly safe this yr. with my new Subaru forester and my NOKIAN Hakkapalitta snow tires! I should be a tank :lmao:

Just took DS 16 to the eye DR for his consultation/ fitting for contacts. I have never known a boy to go through so many glasses per yr....he's working on about the 3 pair so far in one yr. I'm going broke at $400 per shot at least!!! We had to pay $90 to teach him how to put them in, keep them clean and do the trial pair, with 2 follow up appointments. If you don't have the class, they won't sell to you, so it's a bit of a money grab for the optical office, but thankfully my GOVT. Health Spending account will pick up the tab! He's already blown through his glasses entitlements until FEB 2014.
He's supposed to only wear them 4 hours today, but my mindless forgetful teen forgot his solution and case on my car seat after dropping him back at school -- so he'll be taking them out when I get home from work, making him wear them for 6 hrs today! hope his eyes adjust quickly, LOL

TTYS! Have a marvelous Monday EVERYONE!!! :grouphug:

Marie

Hi everyone! I have been MIA for a while. I've been trying to read along as much as possible, but life is just busy right now! I am changing our trip to May. I want to try to hit SWW. I think we may overlap with Jenny! I would love to meet you guys. :)

Jeanette AoA sounds super cool. You get a big thumbs up from me. :thumbsup2

Candace great ADRs! I can't wait to try BoG. Danimal is excited for it as well.

My apologies, I am so far behind I know I am going to forget someone, but here I go.

Melissa, sorry you had a rocky start to the weekend and your family was disappointed in the WL. Sounds like things got better though! :). Sorry I am behind, when is your surgery?

Magic, so sorry you were sick, but happy you are feeling so much better! :cool1: That's great news that you and your DH are back to golfing :dance3: I so agree with you about the Candlelight Processional. I am sorry we are going to miss it this year. Enjoy it for me also!

Jenny, yay for booking another family trip! :goodvibes. Is this one going to be a surprise also? Good job on snagging good airfares.

mousemommy, sounds like things are falling into place nicely for you next trip.

pas, sorry to hear you and HRH got a bug this weekend. Better now than in a few weeks. I would say something about your new accommodations for next month, but I suspect our Queen is not done changing! :confused3

sjs, now then time for some details about your Christmas trip! Have you tweaked your ADRs yet? Inquiring minds want to know!

Grumpy Grandma, loving your posts. Hope you are having an amazing time. Look forward to details on your return. I think you might be at OKW now, we have friends that absolutely love it there. I have seen photos, it looks beautiful.

To everyone I have missed :grouphug:

Sarah Sending you positive thoughts as you go through the clinical trials  I have been tweeking my ADRs like a fool :rotfl2:

:wave2: hope Everyone has a great evening!

Sarah lots and lots of positive thoughts for you!

Checked into OKW today ..... love it!!! Pool sun and Jimmy Buffet music. What's not to love??? And did I mention that it is also the cheapest points of the DVC resorts? :beach: Weather has finally cooled down a bit and the crowds also seem to have thinned out some. Just had the Holiday sandwich from EOS for dinner .... yummy!!! :thumbsup2

Heading to Epcot tomorrow for a little more F&W and some shopping.

Sorry I'm not multiquoting but I'm on my Kindle but I did want to say hi to all my RC friends!!! :wave2:

Oh, that was exactly the meal I was going to order! Glad you liked it, we're definitely going to have to try it next time... since I know there's no way we'll be getting BoG ressies any time soon. Hahahaha, yes... the consummate kid menu at WDW, that sounds familiar! :lmao:

I am so sorry...I missed your birthday...I stink :sad1:

Happy belated birthday!!!!!

Thank you, Jeanette... don't apologize! And, you don't stink! :p I was being an Incognito Birthday Girl. Melissa caught me though... :tiptoe:

Poor you. How often do you get migraines? Hope you're feeling better now. Migraines are horrendous. (I count myself super-lucky mine only happen once every couple of years.) Thanks for the birthday wishes. :goodvibes

I have been tweeking my ADRs like a fool :rotfl2:
