I'm sure you'll love HDDR- fun show and great fried chicken! :cool1:

We're trying Via Napoli for the first time in January.
We're not doing the dining plan but have a few adrs for lunch and dinner.

We really loved Via Napoli! :thumbsup2

We are not doing the dining plan on our next trip either (for the first time) and we made 5 ADR's during the course of our 11 day trip. We are sooooo looking forward to the freedom of not having ADR's!!! :dance3:

I'm setting a stopwatch for the next change! Seriously though, those rooms are REALLY cute. We quite enjoyed our POR stay. We'd happily stay there again ... just not this January when we're only doing 2 days of parks in 5 days.

Haha, YES! I am really just inadvertently sneaky. Honest.
:) I did not check the WDW website today. Which is my crazy world means no changing today...I am excited. The resort looks fit for a royal family..and the rooms princess: Ahhhhh...now to keep it for twenty days :rolleyes1

Love the doggie torture device :upsidedow

12/30-12/31 - CR MKV CL for MK fireworks
12/31-1/2 - Dolphin Epcot View for Epcot NYE fireworks
1/2-1/5 - BC CL
1/5-1/7GF SL.... Where did that come from??? Well, I need to end the trip at a MK resort of course!

So yep, I did it. I booked a non-refundable. If I have to change after that I guess I'll just tell DH not to get me anything for Christmas

Here we go on another 4 way split I cannot wait to tell the kids!!! They know we'll go again (we always go again ) but they don't know when or where and I'm saving it for a Christmas surprise!
A surprise :cheer2:

OK...GF :flower3: have you thought about 1st night GF SL and then 1/5 to 1/7 CR....with the Christmas decorations still up...and it's only one night being that construction is full swing...just an idea. I think your current trip is great :thumbsup2

O...M...G... I booked online directly with the Dolphin. Prepaid was the only option it gave me. I didn't know you could book S/D though CRO :faint:
Me either..wonder if they can apply the nurse discount too
Aww, thanks. Besides, I still have 6 other nights to play with if I get the itch to switch! :goodvibes
:lmao:
Jeanette: Ok....now you can tell all the details about POR!! Although we can't fit in a Royal Room I would love to hear all about it!!

So...here are some rough plans for our trip May 15 - 20

-Arrive Wednesday afternoon, head to MK, and 1900 Park Fare for dinner at GF (DD6 was begging to go back and see the 'Grand forilllian' when we were there) spend night at MK

-Thursday AK, Hoop Dee doo dinner show (we have never done this!:goodvibes)

-Friday MK all day with BOG dinner hopefully!!::yes::

-Sat HS all day, with no ressies, maybe OOP for 50's primetime or elsewhere

-Sun Epcot all day, with either Chefs de France, La Hacineda, or Via Napoli dinner

- Monday hang around and swim, then leave

Thoughts?? Although I am sure this will change many times!:rotfl:

I hope to give a POR report...Deena and Miss were happy there...:grouphug: I feel super happy, and the girls keep talking about it (they also mentioned Poly again..but I am NOT going there :goodvibes)
PAS :thumbsup2 So glad to know you loved Kidani! where you in a one bdrm or 2 bdrm villa? MY WHOLE family (DH and my 2 boys) LOVE, LOVE, LOVE AKL -- it's actually our favourite, so I am sure we will adore Kidani. We've stayed at BC CL, Poly CL and they've even wanted to go to AKL, so that speaks volumes to the wonderful feeling we get at AKL :) I think it'll always hold top spot in our hearts. If we do stay at Kidani, I don't think we will be able to split with BWI because , 1) the cost is just too much -- it will be costly to stay at Kidani with the Deluxe dining plan, so we might as well stay put.
2) Don't want to have to add on extra tickets just to keep our DDP
3) we'll be there for a short time (6 days max) -- so unpacking and settling is more our style.
I really think Kidani will offer us everything we need in the one bedroom , it looks absoulutely beautiful! I love the lion king tile, just another sweet touch to make it so beautiful. The only thing we are going to miss is that darn snack room! I have never been without CL and I feel lost thinking about not having it -- I think with DLX dining though we should be set, we'll have refillable mugs and I can always buy some pop to keep in the fridge if need be.

Marie
Marie, we had a 2 bedroom, a dedicated 2 bedroom!! Loved the hallways with the Savannah views. All the activities...the pool (even better than Jambo house, but you can use both)

Have you thought about looking into the 1br at Jambo House on the CL floor?? I know there aren't many...but they exist!!!

Split stay ..... who me? This trip BWV, AKV, VWL, and now OKW!
:lmao:

LOVED Via Napoli...even hubs did..and he is a picky picky pizza eater!

We really loved Via Napoli! :thumbsup2
SO YUMMY!!!! I am thinking of making an ADR for lunch with the girls:)

sjs314: Thanks. Still another chance to meet... I checked my ADRs last night and I actually have Whoopie CP for Dec 1st and 2nd, too. My cousin will be hooking up with so we made a few to cover our bases til he decides which cruise to take... :rotfl:

babyberger:
Glad your trip got better and better! We really like LTT, too. Glad you all picked CR for your Feb trip. We will be at CR late Feb/Mar. One of our faves. Wishing you all the best Friday. :rainbow:

pas130: Royally terrific! princess: I hope the pas's are feeling better!

chimo2u: Welcome back. Your next trip with BWI/Kidani sounds swell. :thumbsup2 Keep warm.

Grumpy Grandma: Do tell all about your thoughts on OKW. I have a first-time ressie there soon and I'd love to hear your thoughts. :listen:

Basketlacey: Separate rooms are a must. When My BFF and I take our annual trip we always pay for jumbo suites with separate bedrooms to get away from one another. Nothing like going away with another person, couple or group to hit home just what creatures of our own habits we all become. ;)

Missoutandabout: Hope you had a great :joker: birthday, are you a Libra, too? Can't even imagine BOG lunch atmosphere with that dreaded Fantasyland squeeze. :crowded:

Jungle Cruiser: Best wishes for the clinical trial so you're your healthy best for WDW for NYE! :earsboy:

Linda we are doing Whoopie on 12/1 8:15pm show!

Jeanette. Hold Strong! RR:cheer2: RR :cheer2:

Good Morning to everyone else

I happened upon a 8:30am ADR @ Akershus on our last morning, you know I had to book it but now to tell Bob :rotfl2: He is not too fond of Character Meals but I have wanted to eat there forever, since before it was a character meal and he always turned his nose up saying he did not like Norweigian food. I need to stop checking and tweeking my ADRs as they are near perfect now I think

Off to see what trouble I can get into, rainy day here :sad1:

:lmao: Sheila, tell Bob that breakfast is not Norweigan so it's all good..all you can eat pre-plated..they'll bring it too him :thumbsup2

And you can eat in the castle (that's what my girls call it ;))

Hanging on to the RR~~~~

I am also looking at ADRs...not gonna keep any most likely..well GF Cafe maybe

Ok looks like I was wrong about the Dolphin. My credit was charged for the full amount but it still says I owe the full balance on the Disney website. Looks like I'm making a call after work to the dolphin so that I don't get charged twice!!

Hello ladies!

Iheart: Your trip sounds fab!! Don't feel too bad about the booking Snafu with the Dolphin, it sounds like something I would do!

Miss: I love the 'torture device' for the dog! What kind of costume is it?? After that Disneyland email, I am obsessively checking my email for something else!

Jeanette: Ok....now you can tell all the details about POR!! Although we can't fit in a Royal Room I would love to hear all about it!!

Melissa: glad your DS is feeling better...:)

Dani: Yes I would love to get together for a meet up if we are there at the same time!

Jen

Your trip looks great! I love it whena plan comes together! :goodvibes

Marie

Kidani sounds wonderful! I will get there one day! :thumbsup2

Split stay ..... who me? This trip BWV, AKV, VWL, and now OKW! :rotfl2:

Your trip sounds amazing. I hope you are having a blast!

Magic - thanks for the well wishes. I am hoping we feel some CR love in Dec, because if not we will be at YC for sure

i_heart - glad you got it all figured out and even added in a little GF

Jen - plans look good. It will be fun to watch them evolve

Marie - very nice to meet you "in person" lol!!!!

Linda - because of you I spent last night looking into DVC. But we decided its not for us right now. But is appears you are having a phenomenal time!!!!

Good night all :)
Melissa

Sending good thoughts your way :goodvibes I like CR but in limited doses. While parts do feel a bit sterile, the beach area and lake are so beautiful! Plus, the kids get a kick out of the monorail and being so close to Chef Mickey's. It's cool to peek over the railing a see the fab 5 hanging out right in your own hotel :thumbsup2

Stay strong on POR. I think the girls will flip over all of the intricate details! My boys even liked them until I made the mistake of referring to them as the Princess rooms. Oops. :sad2: I may never get there unless I take DD on a mommy and me trip someday.

Can't do CR later as there isn't any snack room availability except on 12/30. :sad2: We will definitely check out the GF to see the decorations though. I'm not super worried about construction. My own house is always a disaster so maybe it will make me feel at home :rotfl2:. I do hope that at least the CS is open by then though. Thanks for the idea though

Akershus for breakfast is perfect then since it's standard American cuisine! I say keep it! :cool1:

I'm not even sure it's legal for a RCer to book something like that! :lmao:
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
______________

i_heart_the_mouse: Yes, compared to Disney's holiday rack the Dolphin is looking mighty awesome. :cool1: I like your adventurous Santa Surprise Super Secret plan. :santa:

pas130: POR is our ahhhhhhh resort. Great winter locale. First it makes your shoulders relax, and then it makes YOU relax. :thumbsup2 ...Don't do the Dolphin unless you are doing NYE like i_heart which is a big discount, or unless you have a thing for The Shining

jennyjinx3: Your plan looks really nice, and Hoop-de-Doo is a must. One of our faves of all-time.

sjs314: Whooooooooopie!

Forgot CR is doing snack room construction in January..AND Poly :confused3 It does look like the pool will be done so that's awesome :thumbsup2

Yeah...I can't call them Princess rooms either..:confused3 HRH is in a "don't call me Princess phase";)

I DO remember your lack of love for the Dolphin from your stay last year (or was it the year before). I would take Pop or allstars over Swolphin..however for NYE firework view...that would be the only one I could afford...even though I had RPC TPV booked for NYE this year..that was short lived

We are gonna have a wonderful time at POR!!!!

I really think POR will be our Feb 2014 resort! I can't wait to hear your review as well as Jen's!!!! :dance3:

Pas,
You will have a great time at POR. :dance3: I really like Boatwrights, too! One of those restaurants you don't hear a lot about, but is yummy!:thumbsup2

I made my last change today. I tried to stay strong and not give in to the temptations of an RCer. :rotfl: As of today, we are booked for our last day, YC/CL. They had a standard room with great discount. That darn pool combined with the snack room.....:rotfl2:

We visit Disney, go to wedding hotel, and then back to Disney for one night, fly out the next day. I better start getting organized, huh?:scared:

Good morning ladies! Afternoon, I guess? :confused3 Okay, so who's changed and to what? :scratchin Going to go grab my coffee and catch up. But before I go! :grouphug:

Let me just chime in on POR (again!)... it's a really gorgeous resort! We had zero issues with transportation to boot. The boats to DTD were fun and plentiful... and the walk to/fro FQ was quite pleasant. :thumbsup2 The only thing I didn't care for at POR was the lacking front desk staff, though this might have been due to our late arrival. We were in Parterre Place overlooking the quiet pool on the top floor. It was a great location for getting to the main building... not far at all.

Jen: The doggy torture device was a plane outfit. We all thought it was hilarious. Doggy clearly wasn't amused. :rolleyes1

PAS Those 2 bedrooms look beautiful, I wish I could afford that, but sadly....I think it might be out of our price range. I don't know about the 1 BDRM at Jambo, I prefer the look and layout more of Kidani's 1 BDRM, plus there are 2 bathrooms and that king bed in the master. Also, Kidani is supposed to have a better slide for older kids....I am being pulled towards Kidani, even without the snack room! LOL ..... just a better excuse to try Deluxe Dining for one trip! The more I read about and look at Kidani, I am falling in love.....plus I can't beat first pick up and first drop off with the buses! That was always a small pet peeve with staying at Jambo house -- having to do the Kidani loop even though you come to Jambo turn off FIRST!! ....oh well, what once was a pet peeve will be greatly embraced when it's me getting dropped off first ;)

So glad you're back into hardcore planning mode!!!

So glad you're back into hardcore planning mode!!!

:wave2: Hi Candace  the only problem with that is I can't nail down numbers because I have until either Jan 2015 or Oct/Nov 2014 to wait!!! I don't know if they will have good discounts or not in Oct/Nov 2014, Usually can count on great deals in January, but then I'm stuck with iffy weather (allthough I've been lucky my Jan (2008) and Feb (2011) trips!)
2 yrs seems so far away! :p

So far behind, it's overwhelming to catch up. ...:sad2:

Sarah, have only been thinking positive thoughts and best wishes for this trial...hopefully today goes as well as yesterday ... you are amazing as our dear Pas stated ...

Jen, dealing with our parents, as they age is hard, and I can fully appreciate your position. Hope Dad is recovering well. And congrats on booking airfare! You seem so much happier now that the whole family is going … that’s wonderful. SWW and F&G !! :dance3:

Magic, happy that you’ve beaten back that infection!! Sooo, who’s the better golfer?? You or DH? I can only compete at miniature golf level. And what's this about CP on 12/1 or 12/2 :) :)

Miss… a Belated Happy birthday!! :dance3: Note: we need to see the doggie torture costume modeled please. :cool1:

Pas My ying friend  POR RR is still sticking, right?? It's perfect so don't mess with perfection!! LET ME CONTROL YOUR RESSIE!! :goodvibes

Sheila,We loved Akerhous for dinner in August ... sure breakfast will be just as great!! And we do need to see you and Bob with the princesses, you hear??

Ginny, so sorry about the migraine … I had a terrible one yesterday, so I understand. Happy that your plans are together for the wedding! :cool1:

MM: Hope I didn't miss another change :) Your ADRs looked great!! Did you decide on the birthday package?

To our newest RCers -- Hello!!... and to any that I've missed, I'm sorry ... I will try to be better, life has been hectic lately.... just know that I have been popping in and reading, just not posting ... :goodvibes

:goodvibes You have missed nothing!!! Plans are swimming along at the Beach Club!!! I am actually very excited about our stay!!! I think we've got a great trip planned!!! :dance3:

I think I might do the HRH package for DD - I am definitely leaning towards it! My only thing is that I don't want younger DD to be jealous of all the attention...Younger DD had her birthday at Disney and her bday meal in the castle but that was for her 3rd birthday, and I know she doesn't really remember that.

But....next month our baby turns 6!!! So, I am trying to think of something supercalifragilistic to do for her. It's hard because her birthday is the 20th...2days away from Thanksgiving...It's hard to do a party for her because so many people go away, etc...I am thinking that the weekend following Thanksgiving, we will take the girls to Boston, and do the aquarium and perhaps take in a show -- all in the name of DD's birthday!!! I think she will love that, and hopefully, she won't be to "offended" by us going all out for DD8's birthday in April.

I'm still marveled how you all follow every post.

I think my ADD sets in after reading 2.

I do love all your plannings and changes. :thumbsup2

I should found you all last month when I was deciding between Port Orleans S/P/D or Boardwalk CL. Stuck with Boardwalk so we can be closer to Epcot and the drinks. DD just turned 21 and can't wait to have some.

Quick question for my nurse friends: can I have wine 2 nights before surgery?

Sounds like both birthdays will be special for the girls. :thumbsup2
I'm sure she'll love being in Disney and doing all the fun things you have planned.
My girls were older but starting when they were 9 & 12 we spent my older DD birthday in Disney for 5 years. Her birthday was in the summer and the only time that was good. So she some nice celebrations at the resort, restaurants etc.

Finally made uo to younger DD for her 16th birthday. We went with her friends family - which she lovedp.
