Exactly why I booked with Jet Blue today, even though I have to travel an hour to fly out of Boston, instead of flying SW out of our airport 10 minutes away...SW prices are crazy!!!!!

Congrats on the two extra days. I have only flown on the legacy airlines so I can't comment on the JB or SW. Flying is such a crapshoot. If the weather is good it usually goes well. We always go in April/May which is tornado season. We have run into some major problems this time of year. If it's a direct flight you should be fine.

Yup, direct flights both ways and just going north/south and vice versa....staying away from tornado alley!!

I kind of like the fact that the airfare is forcing us to try a split stay!

First off, please stay safe everyone who is in the path of the storm, I am concerned for a lot of you! (Melissa and Amanda for sure!! And whoever else Isaac is affecting)

Just got home from work, making some careless mistakes lately there, need a vacation!! This adults only weekend couldn't come at a better time...DH and I need some time alone to re-connect. We are bickering a little too much over silly stuff lately for my liking. Jeez we are coming up to 10 years, we should be proud of ourselves!

It seems like a lot of our friends are splitting at this same point their relationships. So... I am looking forward to the weekend. Hopefully the kids will have fun with my parents, I am sure they will. The only instructions I am leaving is for my younger two to eat something more then cheese and bread which they both love!!

Anyhoo...moving on to WDW!! I am getting slightly panicked....I haven;t ordered water or snacks yet. Any recommendations? Last year we did Garden Grocer and spent a lot of $$$ for food that we left behind!! So maybe Walmart this time....

Other than that I am boring!! Glad to have you all to talk to though.

Thank you!! I think we are as prepared as we can be. We have our provisions, cars are gassed up, patio furniture pulled in & the generator is ready to go if need be. The storm's landfall point has moved slightly to the east of the city I live in, which is good. It's better to be on the west side of the storm. So, I'm hoping it won't be too bad. We are prepared for the worst but hoping for the best!!!

That's great that y'all are getting an adults only weekend! Those can be hard to come by so definitely enjoy. I'm sure it will be great bonding time for y'all.

I can't help you with the groceries for WDW since we've never ordered anywhere. Hope you find the best solution for y'all!

On the edge here I called and saved an additional $279.68 over FD but I checked and can stay at GF for only $56 more total Bob said do what I want but...... Blah blah blah ( he really does not want to stay there) Not really sure I want to either because of the construction & closures but I do ya know Ugh

Savings is always good...and I almost booked GF...but DH would have my head...couldn't help but look

A wedding sounds like fun Jeanette

So about 5 pm yesterday Bob says to me " Did you change to GF?"

We went back and forth for a few with me telling him now why I decided it is not the best option(I did not mention about the construction earlier)

You know I checked this morning for CR and BLT and both are available today but the savings not so good so I think I will stay where I am

I wish the park hours for April 2013 would be published already!!! I am itching to start planning our days!!! Now that we are at POR for 2 nights, I think we will do our DTD, AK time while there! We spend the least amount of time at those places so we'll do it while at POR. Then once we are at POLY, those are out of the way and we can focus on MK, Epcot and DHS, oh and of course, RELAXATION!!!!!

Oh, the girls want to do fishing at POR too....need park hours so I can plan!!!!

Peeps!!

Looks like I have a lot of reading ahead of me .... for now I will jump in to say we had a great trip, it was hard to see it end (as usual) but planning for the next one helps. Plus I have the RC trip in January!!

It was my great fortune to meet up an RC Peep this trip In between, the napkin waving and Pluto's visit (we were at Chef Mickeys), I was able to have my own meet and greet with our I_heart_the_mouse!! (I'm on the left, Iheart on the right and the man in the photo is no relation to either one of us!) She is a sweetie, wish we had more time to visit, but was grateful that her monorail shopping was on the same night as our ADR at Chef Mickeys!

Sadly, I missed meeting up with Magic, Kook and StepDisney ... hopefully next next August will be different.

We had an AMAZING trip with my nieces!! We were on the go most of the time, so it didn't leave must time for DISing (unless I didn't sleep of course! )

Missed being connected with you all ...Christine, Sheila and Dani was thinking of you all this past week and your loved ones too ...

Pas... happy to read you are feeling better ...

MM ... more changes I gather ... congrats!

Jenny ... happy your DD is better ... my DS had many growing pains if that what it was with your DD.

Thank you....I think we're as prepared as can be. I'm just trying to convince my mom & step-dad to come stay with us. We should be on the west side of the storm (it is normally a little better on that side) but it looks like they are in the direct path. We'll see what they decide.

Your DD's will be fine! Enjoy your time! It's easy to tell others that when I don't listen to my own advice

I'm way too over the top protective. We haven't even had a date night since before DD (18months) was born. I seriously need to let.it.go.

Come back with wonderful tales of sleeping in, romance and that your DD's had the time of their lives too and maybe you'll convince me that I can do it too!

Good morning ladies! I am hoping for a much less chaotic day today. DH isn’t flying back and forth to Atlanta during the storms, our power is on, and it seems like the water (at least in our neighborhood) is starting to recede. Kids and I will stay put though since I don’t know what the side roads look like and there is no reason to go out. I woke up to find the AP discounts out, although they weren’t much better than the GP announced yesterday. But we moved October and set that in stone (pending weather of course) and got our AP discount on our Dec CR stay. So today I can finally move our ADR’s and look at touring plans to figure out which days which park is best.

Now to catch up with what you have going on in your lives

Miss I would love a “Disney Room” or any type of extra room really! Whenever we go away my bedroom becomes our packing area and I hate it. I hope the MRI went well and the happy pill helped

Marie I hope the meeting with the school went well! And woohoo you are getting so very close As for the mil disc, I am pretty sure you have to show mil id upon check in (Candace, can you confirm?). At least you got FD, it is better than nothing.

alicia080979 I know deciding what to do is so hard and yes the $1000 can definitely go towards other things in life. However with that said, you are taking MIL on a once in a life time trip and if you think she would appreciate the deluxe than I say go for it. Also, you are taking MIL ….not sure how your relationship is but a week with anyone that you are not used to staying with can be tough. With that said, I would book the resort you really want. This was if things get a little tight, you can enjoy the resort you want to be at. For an extra $300 I would definitely book BC!!! BC will give you easy access to Epcot, DHS, and the Boardwalk. Whereas, with AKL you have easy access to well, AK. For me that is a no brainer!

Candace woohoo! So glad you decided to pull the trigger. You will be happy with JetBlue and the girls will love having a tv screen at their seats and well as LOVE the royal rooms! Oh and just as an FYI, my DD’s bday is Apr 20 and if we come for her bday we will be there that weekend

Basketlacey Sorry the airfare keeps going up, I think with gas prices on the rise airfare is only going to continue to rise, so I would jump on whatever you decide to do quickly.

Amanda Stay safe with the storm! And yes the east side of this storm was FAR worse! The weather service has said the flooding we have here in Palm Beach county is unprecedented and was definitely not expected considering how far we were from the storm. Glad you are prepared! Definitely better to be prepared for the worst and hope for the best!

Jenny Enjoy your weekend and reconnecting! I know how you feel, I have a lot of friends who have divorced lately and it is scary. As for groceries, I would say order the bare minimum that you can for GG and then if you feel you need more do a quick trip to Walmart to fill in.

i_heart My DH is extremely overprotective so we don’t get away either, but luckily now that my kids are older and my oldest DS is still in the house we do get out for date nights once in a while. You are definitely due for a date night at the very least!
