I know right? I loved my job because I worked at 6 hospitals, and never got involved in the Drama-Rama. This hospital is so close to my house I could walk there in 10 minutes. Of course this makes it easy to work a lot to pay for my vacations.....so well you get the picture. If you work in the same place all the time somehow you get caught up in the whole mess. I think after this vacation I'm going to have to get back on the freeway.

I understand all too well. I am usually VERY good at doing my own thing, and everyone likes me (to my face) BUT you can't escape...
it's all negative and grumpy. I am very glad I have a new position. Wasn't looking...but it found me & right when I needed a change. I wish you lots of until your much needed CL vacation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep can't sleep. Haven't been around much .... my youngest daughter (not the one I don't see) is having a real tough time so I made an unexpected trip to LA. She may be moving back up North but not sure what is going to happen yet. Very confusing.

Back from our gallivanting in the "big city." We were evacuated during the concert due to a severe thunderstorm. (Unlike the previous year in which they let us stay put.) Good thing they did, it was a pretty decent storm. We only missed two of the bands we had wanted to see because of the rearranged schedule... not too shabby.

The weekend sure flew by!!! And it was HOT!!! DH had drill all weekend so it the girls and I.

I must confess, when my girls (mostly DD8) were babies, I was one of those moms that probably drove our pediatricians office nuts (or at least they must have talked about me when I left) because I was always calling or going in to make sure things were "normal"....I was a major worry-wort.

Anyway, I have chilled out a lot. To the point that I even forgot to schedule DD8 physical!!! (it has since been scheduled....6 months late).

Well, I guess the worry wort in me is back, for the kitten!!!
the poor little guy just wasnt acting right yesterday...he was "sneezing" and kind of dry heaving, and breathing with his mouth open...now, it was very hot so I thought that might be it...but my "mothers instinct" wouldn't let it go. After DH got home from drill, he observed little Lao Che and agreed something wasn't right...he ended up bringing our little baby to the hospital...turns out he has a little kitten cold. but he's totally fine, other than the cold, which shall pass....so now I'm sure the vets office will be talking about me too!!!

The DD's were out in the backyard trying to have a tent sleepover with DH last night, and worrywart me had the window open so I could hear anything. At about 3 am I heard the behind us neighbor screaming and lots of noise. I looked out the window and said neighbor is chasing a skunk with a broom, and then yells "AHHHH he just peed in the dogs face!!!" Yes, that ended the camping night in the backyard early! Stinkorama.

So, the DD's have lots to talk about this morning that's for sure! Have a good day everyone....

I had a Dr appt for this morning that I had o cancel... Not my fault this time. The office is on the 3 rd Floor and the elevator broke. With my breathing problems I can not do more than a few steps without needing to use my inhaler

padawans, sorry about the drama at work. Good plan, trip to WDW then hop on the freeway to a new job. And if I don't say it enough to you and pas, our RC nurses, thank you for all you do. I know I couldn't get through this cancer, the treatments and everything without all the wonderful nurses. Just remember that when the drama becomes overwhelming, the patients appreciate you.

I have no breathing issues...and 3 floors in August.....

I had a call I missed on Friday from the office but I thought it was the routine appt reminder but listened to it this morning and it was about the elevator not being in use today I almost just deleted it sure glad I took the time to listen to it

I need to catch up on posts but while I am sitting here waiting for the rain to stop, I am going to post photos of Extreme Room Makeover.

For background, my youngest dd, Lilly, turned 8 two weeks ago. For her bday, dh, dd, dh's and I made over her room. She wanted green and pink with zebra. She knew we were doing it but we locked her out of the room so she didn't see anything until the "big reveal" which was the night before her bday (so she could wake up in her new room). Ignore the carpet in these pictures because we also had it replaced but weren't able to get it done b the big day.


Here is her bed. This is the middle of the wall tucked back in the dormer window. The green paint is brighter than it looks in the picture. I had intended to paint paler green and pink and accent with the darker colors but the woman at the paint store talked me into brighter ones. I am glad she did! We were trying to figure out what to do for a reading light when dh had the idea of hanging a chandelier. It is perfect!

Each corner of the room has a different theme. With the bed tucked into the window nook, it leaves the middle of the floor open which makes the room look bigger. These are all the things she loves so you will see her personality. This is her art area. Here is the easel she got from Santa last year.

This is her "work" area. That child can sit at a desk for hours! By the way, it was totally organized but I failed to snap a pic before she got her hands on it lol. Notice she has a window office

JC: Hey...glad someone had a laugh over the nighttime antics!! Poor DH's back was so sore from trying to sleep on a blow up mattress with them in the tent!

Miss: I am so happy to hear your DD has bounced back just like that! Kids are amazing aren't they? It will really help her.

Basketlacey: What an awesome room makeover!! DH and I may steal some ideas from you someday! Really like the color scheme, and your DD looks so excited!
