JC: Hey...glad someone had a laugh over the nighttime antics!! Poor DH's back was so sore from trying to sleep on a blow up mattress with them in the tent!;)

Miss: I am so happy to hear your DD has bounced back just like that! Kids are amazing aren't they? It will really help her.

Basketlacey: What an awesome room makeover!! DH and I may steal some ideas from you someday! Really like the color scheme, and your DD looks so excited!:goodvibes

Now I am going over to WDW website to check my day countdown....I'll be back in a minute!:hourglass

Sounds like a great idea .... I'm going to check my day countdown too! :rotfl2:

37 DAYS TO GO!!

And...first time the online check in reminder popped up! I better start checking the mail on the sly...Mickey Mail may soon arrive!:cheer2:

Afternoon Peeps! :goodvibes:rotfl2: So sorry! But your story is funny in the telling!! How's your Odoriferous fur baby doing today??? :)

Luckily it was only the neighbors dog that got sprayed... or "peed on":rotfl: should I say! DH didn't want the little critter running to our yard to escape the crazy neighbor! Our 2 kitties were safely inside thank goodness!!:goodvibes

Sorry Jenny!! ... at work ... sometimes my multi-tasking skills fall a little short. :goodvibes

Happy that your fur babies are safe and stink-less. :) you know .. just normal kitty perfume. :flower3:

Someone needs to stop me from thinking about all the money that could be saved if we just stay at POR...:sad2:

Problem is, this time, I know the extra money is worth it...otherwise, I'd have been on the phone and made a change by now! :lmao:

Plus, I was one of the few that was able to book with the "secret military code" that has since been pulled back until Disney's official announcement. I don't want to draw attention to my "illegal" reservation...:rotfl:

I'm gonna hold strong and pay the piper for the Poly CL. DH really wants to give it a shot. I know it'll be great!

But, Feb 2014 has to be a budget trip!!!!

I want to thank everyone for their kind positive thought for my DD.

What brought it all on sounds really minor but .... her cat somehow got fleas, she went to the pet store and they recommended a product to spray on her furbaby. She followed all their directions but he got very sick. She rushed him to the emergency room and luckily she took the product with her. The vet told her that one of the ingredients is toxic to cats. It was touch and go for awhile but he did pull thru .... $900.00 later. By the way how does a totally totally 5 year old cat get fleas??? Management is working on the problem! So now her home no longer feels like her "safe" place.

Why it is so important to her to have a safe place is that 2 years ago while she was doing a study abroad in Africa she and a friend were attached, robbed and hurt. She still sometimes doesn't feel "safe" places but has always had her home to go to and now even there she doesn't feel comfortable. So now we are working on making her home feel safe again and dealing with issues from the attack.

She is a grown woman but no matter what she is still my baby and it's so hard to see her hurting but maybe now she finally be able to put the attack and the thoughts of what could have happened behind her.

Sorry for such a long rant but thanks for listening! The RC family is the BEST!!!

Oh, I'm sorry to hear about what your DD has been through. :sad2:
I am sorry to hear what she is going through now...sounds like she lives in an apartment??? And the cat is an indoor cat??? Yes, she should definitely be having a talk with management in that case, because don't know how that could happen! :scared:

I am a nervous wreck..... seriously....

I did not expect a room to open up and suddenly....its here!!! My stomach is seriously doing flip flops. My DH and son are in the room now weighing in. My DH says yes and now my DS is saying no, then yes, then "I don't know mom YOU decide." :crazy2:

Kook I'm going to call.....I think. What did your DD like about the pool? What about the slide? How bad are the standard views?
How hard is it to travel to all of the other parks?

AAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I checked to quote you to say congrats and then saw that you lost it! Bummer but keep looking!

Yes, it did!!!!! The first CM I spoke to had no idea about the discount, saying that they heard it had been extended but wouldn't be active until mid next week....

Quickly hung up with that one and called back, got another CM who applied the 40% with no problem, and I booked POLY CL!!!!! OMG!!!!!!!:cheer2:

Thanks everyone. I was really excited to see how it turned out. Nothing was really new except the bedding and the decorations but it all looks new because of how it is arranged. Jenny -steal away! Most of the decor came from Hobby Lobby.

Don't go there! I did the same thing two weeks ago. I am starting to stress because the 45 day mark is almost here and it's so much money. But I really want to do deluxe, so.......

Dani - hope you are having a blast you and the kids look great.

GG - take good car of dd. glad her kitty is ok!

I am just a tightwad! :rotfl: But, we splurged last trip and realized how much more we enjoyed ourselves despite the money...and once we were on the trip, we didn't even care anymore!! Of course, here I am again...doing the same "second guessing" game. But, I am looking at it this way...this trip is $2k less than this last one, so that's a start, right???

OHHH! FEB 2014! maybe, just maybe, I can take my DS for a graduation trip! ;) honestly though, he won't graduate until may 2014, so maybe DH would make me wait! :sad1: but.....maybe I could make a case if I subtly start putting the hints in! :rotfl2:

Hello again to all... :grouphug:

GG: I'm so sorry your daughter experienced something so awful and is having to deal with the aftermath -- how hard it must be for her and for you. Sending good vibes her way. And SHEESH, how negligent of the pet store! Unbelievable! :sad2: She lives in an apartment or a condo, I take it? I'm wondering if fleas could make it through the ventilation system? Just trying to think of how they could get on an inside cat. Hope the management comes back with a satisfactory explanation for her and that her furbaby is all better soon.

Jenny: That skunk pee! :rotfl: If only it WAS pee! :lmao: That is too funny. Glad the stripy guy stayed away from your yard.

Candace: Poor kitty! I never said congrats on the Poly change... so CONGRATS!!!!! ( w/ extra emphasis added). No changin'... No no NO! :thumbsup2

Sheila: Thanks for the well-wishes. Hope they can reschedule your doc's visit soon.

JC: :goodvibes Thank you. You are so right, they are resilient little buggers those kiddos are. :thumbsup2 She's giving everyone what for

Basketlacey: Wowza! What a fantastic room makeover! That picture of her coming in and seeing it is priceless. How long did it take you from start to finish? I adore that little "window office" area. Great job, momma!

Pas: LOL at "no soup for you!" I seriously couldn't help myself. Since watching her made me even more tired, I fell asleep on her bed while she played (a.k.a. wrecked stuff) in her room. :lmao:

Janet: Thank you! Hope your son is doing fine... still sending positive vibes y'all's way. :goodvibes

Seriously. All of you having to check on your countdowns. Now I'm off to go do it. Peer pressure and all that. :rotfl:

Good Evening RCers,

Missoutandabout, I am so glad everything went smoothly, and your dd is doing well.:goodvibes

Jungle Cruiser, Thank you for keeping up with all our travels. It’s very fun to see who’s going where next!:dance3:

Janet, Thank you for the sweet pictures of Dani and her kids. O’hana happiness is the best!:cool1:

Pas and Padawans,
You guys deserve a break from the wacky drama at work.:scared: I'm glad you both are on the countdown to a wonderful vacation. :cool1:

Jenny, I’ll bet the story of the uninvited skunk will be told for years to come!:rotfl:

Sjs, I hope you were able to reschedule soon. Good they gave you a heads up on the elevator. :goodvibes

Basketlacey,
Your DD’s room is just fabulous! I love the colors, and it has such nice growing potential. It’s great now, and it will be wonderful when she’s older, too. :cool1:

Mousemommy,
I totally understand the budget. On the other hand, that’s an amazing rate at Poly CL. The discount really, really helps!! :thumbsup2

GG, I’m sending you a hug and caring thoughts. It’s so difficult when grown kids are going through challenges. I think one of the hardest things is to know when, what, and how much to say. Your dd must so appreciate your calm, comforting presence as she gets back to feeling comfortable and safe again. You’re a great mom!:goodvibes

Waving hi to RCers I missed, hope you have a good week!:wave2:

I need to catch up on posts but while I am sitting here waiting for the rain to stop, I am going to post photos of Extreme Room Makeover.

For background, my youngest dd, Lilly, turned 8 two weeks ago. For her bday, dh, dd, dh's and I made over her room. She wanted green and pink with zebra. She knew we were doing it but we locked her out of the room so she didn't see anything until the "big reveal" which was the night before her bday (so she could wake up in her new room). Ignore the carpet in these pictures because we also had it replaced but weren't able to get it done b the big day.

Here is her bed. This is the middle of the wall tucked back in the dormer window. The green paint is brighter than it looks in the picture. I had intended to paint paler green and pink and accent with the darker colors but the woman at the paint store talked me into brighter ones. I am glad she did! We were trying to figure out what to do for a reading light when dh had the idea of hanging a chandelier. It is perfect!
[/IMG]

Each corner of the room has a different theme. With the bed tucked into the window nook, it leaves the middle of the floor open which makes the room look bigger. These are all the things she loves so you will see her personality. This is her art area. Here is the easel she got from Santa last year.
[/IMG]

This is her "work" area. That child can sit at a desk for hours! By the way, it was totally organized but I failed to snap a pic before she got her hands on it lol. Notice she has a window office :-)
[/IMG]

This is her dresser. Not sure if you can tell from the picture but all the knobs are different. This is also the trophy case.
[/IMG]

And here is the American Girl area. It is now two stories! Her big sis set this up for her. she only has one doll but my oldest has donated hers.
[/IMG]

[/IMG]

Finally, here is the bday girl coming in to see it for the first time. She was completely overwhelmed!
[/IMG]

Awesome room!!

Marie I know you have stayed at AKl cl. Did you do the sunrise safari? What did you think? I booked it today. Heather's trip report has me very excited to stay there.:hyper:Start working on your hubby now 2016 is way to far away.

MM Congrats on Poly Cl. I'm skepitical this is going to stick. I can't believe the frugal women who waffled on staying deluxe is going Club level again. It's addictive isin't it. I can't wait to see where you end up in April.popcorn::

BL Love the room. Very Cool.:cool2:

Gwynne Thanks. There are no words to describe what working in a hospital is like. I guess that's is why so many TV shows and soap operas are centered around them.:happytv:

GG Does your daugter live by the beach? When I lived by the beach in So Cal I battled fleas constantly. I don't know where the little buggers come from. We used to give our dog a pill once a month that kept them away.

Miss Glad your daughter is tearing the house apart.:)

Kook Can you rent bikes at Wl? What about fishing? I'm looking for some different stuff to do. As you know we have been to the parks a few times.

To everyone else have a great week.
