On a positive note..WDW is a happy place, and magical place So hope all works out! But I really hope these plans don't cause you trip anxiety...make sure your DH understands how you feel. Perhaps a meet with DH/DBIL and the cousins...no need for drama with his sisters...JMHO

He really loves his nephew and would love for all the kiddos to see eachother there. really would add to the magic for them. It is just hard sometimes letting go of things that were said. Awesome...as soon as I posted this...well, about 15 minutes later, I got my quote from Kathy Werling. I have blasted her with many emails since because I have soooo many questions!!! I feel bad! The cancelation policy for cruises is pretty harsh! Did you get the trip insurance? I never purchase it, but in regards to the cruise it seems like it makes sense...

I know I'm probably being overly careful but I would suggest that you ask the doctor's office to mail you a copy of the letter they fax. That way you have it in your hot little hands and nobody can claim they lost it or it didn't exist. I guess this just shows what an non trusting person I am.

Ok. Already RC'ing a trip that isn't even booked. I had toyed with the idea of the Disney Cruise, but the cancelation policies are giving me cold feet. I am so used to WDW's cancelation policies and I am ok with "eating" $200, or one nights room deposit when canceling a resort reservation. But, the thought of losing our deposit ($556.82) if we cancel the cruise at any time, really bothers me.

I am now thinking of booking our whole April trip at the Beach Club...random, I know. WL would be cheaper, but without CL, I don't want to do it. Plus, we had said while visiting BC that we would give it a shot someday.

Thoughts???

FYI ~ yes, we as a family are having a hard time thinking of booking a moderate...we love the amenities at a deluxe now...ugh!!!

DANI: So happy HR is going to work on this with you, no matter what you need to do to make things work for you, YOU DO IT!! you are right to put yourself first. I hope that they send you somewhere that is a much better fit for you, and somewhere that you will enjoy without a bunch of bullies! I agree with Linda, keep a copy of that letter, just to be safe I am so excited for you!!! Only 5 more days, YIPEE!!!! take time to relax on this trip and recharge so you can come home and be re-fueled for a fight!

PAS: I am making it harder on myself to chicken out! I just changed my groupon to a tandem flight for my BFF and I....I was worried about the weight limit, but I think we'll be ok since she is such a little thing, and pretty light! My boys are doing solo flights, Now if I chicken out, I ruin it for Dawn too, so there's no room for chickens on this matter!!! say a prayer for me

Candace: How exciting booking a cruise!! I am so jealous of all you who have trips in 2013 to look forward to, that definitely helps with the PDD!!! My trip is honestly the one thing that has gotten me through some tough days this yr!!! I don't know how I'll be able to stand it not having a trip to look forward to next yr! We have to get some bills paid off though, and I know my DH would like for the family to go to England, allthough that's pretty pricey..so don't know how doable that will be either.....we will see.

So my HR department considers it to be a reasonable accommodation for me to walk outside to another building and use the elevator to their bathroom. How is it reasonable to ask someone with a disability to walk further than necessary especially in rain, snow, ice, etc?

Fingers crossed they offer the military salute again. Ideally, maybe that would give you a nice discount on your room and tickets. If you chose room only, your deposit is refundable until 5 or 6 (can't remember which) days before you arrive. It's nice to have some flexibility.
I think your family would love the Beach Club. There is just something very special about Stormalong bay, the beach, and the easy walk to Epcot. The boat to Hollywood Studios is fun, too!

Plus, I'm annoyed because the travel agent doesn't seem too knowledgable...she sent me the cancelation policy, which clearly states that cancelations 45+ days out from sailing results in loss of deposit, but then she said typically cancellations before the PIF date are no cancellation fee...really??? Because that's not the info she gave me!

Now I just need to get my Party tix but I have $800 in gift cards at home so I need to wait (telling myself to be patient!) And I need to get costumes! MM: No we did not purchase the insurance...I felt ok about it, and apparently we can add it at another time if we want. I know what you mean, there are so many what ifs about a cruise and they are expensive.$$$ It is hard to know if it will be worth it for our family, that is why we are only trying a short 3 night, and if we don't feel it was worth the price, we don't have to do one again! At least this is the argument I used on DH!! I love that guy! Your plan for BC sounds great too though!

WE BOOKED THE BEACH CLUB!!!! 4/20/13-4/28/13

The cruise cancelation policy was just too harsh, with DH's military career...we never know anything with 100% certainty, and so we feel more comfortable booking Beach Club!!! So excited that the 2013 trip is on the books!!! I already got my email confirmation and everything!

Yes this is true. I have booked and cancelled three cruises. The deposit is 100% refundable outside of your 75 PIF date. The insurance will cover you if you have to cancel at last minute. That's is why you always buy the insurance. DCl is awesome to work with. I wouldn't even bother with a TA. You can book and change your reservation online. The only thing you have to call DCL for is to cancel. Everything else can be done online including choosing your stateroom, and making any dinner or excursion reservations.
