KOOK, such a nice photo of your daughter! And that Lapu Lapu next to the orange bird pin is so happy! Glad to hear about Tokyo Dining. I can't tell you how many times we've had an ADR there (because I love sushi) and then we cancel it because the boys lobby for something else and we can't fit in all their favorites. So I sacrifice Tokyo for it. Our October trip is a bday gift to me from my husband (who said no more trips with the APs, and is making an exception for us to take they boys to MNSSHP.) He's encouraging me to book Tokyo for this trip as a result, but I'd have to cut San Angel Inn and the boys really want that (although we are going to SAI in January.) OK, I'm way OT now - need to post this on Amanda's ADR changing thread!




Yay, Dani!!!! I'm so excited for your trip and the live reports! August is slow for us here - baseball and theater are finished for the summer and swim team is wrapping up soon. So we'll enjoy our virtual trip to Poly with Dani!

Pas, I always have problems with my reservations on the website. They show up, then they disappear. Sometimes I press "update" and they return. Sometimes they don't. I called once and the CM really didn't know why this happens to me all the time. I think your theory about too many changes is correct! Even though we usually don't do on-line check-in, I like to see them. And the boys like to look at the current page because (between Oct. and Jan.) it has BC, CR, Poly and BWI!

only between 9-12th...when your big sis is near...cause I can totally save your life!!!!! So no worries about that, the Poly is the best medicine EVAH for all this crap

My take...(bear in mind I am no professional...and could possibly need one myself!) is that you have had such a stressful month, it might be hard for you to even contemplate relaxing and enjoying yourself. When stuff happens one thing after another, it makes me be on edge too. Take some deep breaths, you are not going to have a heart attack at Disney, you are going to have a wonderful time with your kiddos, and this is much deserved.

pas - my online ressies finally went poof on me again. I'm hoping not for good as I want to do OCI! I usually can get them back by doing my log out, then log back in, then update, then retrieve an old ressie, then retrieve a current ressie routine. Now even that isn't working I just want to verify that they are both correct at this point.

kook - your DD is stunning!

chimo - love the new do! I only get my hair cut every 3 years and that is just for locks of love. I could use a "real style" one of these days.

Just an FYI: I have always been told that once a room with a military discount is booked, even if it's later canceled, it will not go back into the discounted inventory. However, I knew this wasn't true and kept calling back periodically when I would see the villa in the rack rate inventory. For a while it wasn't even in the RR inventory, but just today, I saw it in the AP inventory and thought that it just might be available with the mil. rate. I called and indeed it was available. Now, I just have to figure out if 4 nights is enough before moving next door to WL/CL for 10. I just happened to inquire, and the villa is indeed available beyond 4 nights. What should I do?

The Lapu Lapu is from last summer and the DD is from 2008. Make AND keep the TD ADR and ask to sit by the window when you check-in. Go ahead and cut SAI, you've been there many times and haven't been to TD - it's great!

Yes, I'm often stunned by what she says. Like when I just made the switch from YC to BLT she said, (rather emphatically): "Do not change this no matter what, OK?" I can't wait to eat at The Wave's breakfast buffet again, so don't change anything!"

KOOK, YAY, persistence pays off! You will LOVE BLT. We have stayed in a 1 bedroom twice and it is amazing when you have older children with you. My DDs have each slept on the pull out couch and did mind it at all. TWO full bathrooms You also have a washer and dryer. We had lagoon view both times which we preferred. The MK view is great, but you have to look past the parking lot. We would sit on the balcony at night and enjoy the EWP. We also loved watching the large boats, including the ferries go to dock at night and come out early in the morning. No opinion on how long to stay, I think it depends on how long you want to spend CL at WL.
