We are here and all settled! Got here about 11 AM, the deluxe room I had requested was ready. We have a huge balcony, over twice the size of the other balconies at the BC. :goodvibes We are overlooking the quiet pool but can actually see part of the canal the Friendship Boats pass through on their way to EPCOT. We had a late lunch at Beaches and Creme, I am relaxing on the balcony until we go upstairs to CL for appetizers. After that we plan on going into EPCOT. We haven't been into a park yet but it doesn't seem crowded at all.

They delivered these flowers to our room this afternoon, a nice touch!

More later. Miss and family should be on their way!

:wave2: Peeps!

Safe travels to Miss aka MPC & Padawans! :goodvibes

We will be patiently awaiting pix from all the RC meets!! :cool1:

Marie ... happy that your ADR situation all worked out! My DS saw the blue man group many years ago in NYC and loved it! Sure to be a hit with your boys! :goodvibes

:yay: Sarah, have a wonderful time!! The flowers are beautiful!! Enjoy Epcot tonight!! :cool1:

Competition went well... thought it looked pretty good for the first one of the year.

This is my son's second year and he loves it. He wasn't too sure about continuing when he got to high school, but we said he should try it and then decide. At our school, band is band, everyone does marching and concert. There is no extra fee, aside from the clothing that goes under your uniform and concert attire. They usually go on a trip, but that is not mandatory. Last year Virginia Beach, this year Orlando. Great for him... not so great for the rest of us. We had already booked the Thanksgiving trip and there is no way we can go again at Christmas:(

:yay: Happy their first performance went well! It's incredible how much time the marching bands put into practicing ... 3-4 times/week and on weekends too. All the kids are winners to me. :goodvibes

Kook, Janet-Hope your high school freshmen are settling into school, and enjoying new challenges. :goodvibes

 To the RC friends I've missed, have a great start to your week!

Hope your daughter has a great year and that she has fun :thumbsup2

Thanks!! I'm hoping that she will really enjoy the experience and will move up to join the competition band next year. The band played well on Friday night (and the football team, not so well, but hey you win some, you lose some .... There's always next week. :))

So I made this super duper totally awesome spreadsheet that I am TOTALLY proud of to compare DxDDP vs OOP. DxDDP totally is winning right now. Since my mom doesn't really eat a lot (definitely not $100 a day!) I have devised a plan to not buy the plan for her. Tell me what you guys think.

I book the kids, my dad, and I for the package (room, DxDDP, tickets). If I add my mom when we get there she won't be able to use ME, so I will book her a 1 night room only to get her on the bus. When we check-in, she will also check-in for her one night stay. The next day I will add her on to our room and then add her on our ME for the return trip. I will just pay for her meals OOP because she really eats like a bird. Clear as mud? ;)

yep! Sounds good to me! :)

Yay! Looking forward to hearing more, Jungle Cruiser! You don't happen to be in the deluxe room on the 4th floor overlooking the quiet pool, do you? If so, we stayed there last year and LOVED it. Sounds like a wonderful day!

Miss, happy travels!

And thanks so much to those who offered encouragement - we're sticking with CR for our MNSSHP night and I'm feeling very confident about it again!

So much to catch up on.....but who knew there was a Captain's Grille Family of the Day???? Well now we know there is ;)

We look a bit like aliens in the picture with our faces a bit distorted, but still nice to have the picture!

Hi Ladies!

So...Exciting to hear Sarah, Miss, and Melissa, Padawans....anyone I missed...are now in WDW too! I can't wait for the meet up! Anyone else joining in?:goodvibes

Yesterday we were at DD where the girls got their outfits for BBB and the Halloween Party tomorrow night. Thankfully there were no meltdowns! yay!:hyper: Then we hit Epcot until about 8:30 pm. We left right before illuminations, We are still shy about staying too late, and are a bit scarred from a horrible experience getting out of the parks after fireworks last year.:crazy2: it was so nice...DD 3 is now tall enough to enjoy all the rides with us.:thumbsup2

Today was MK until about noon, then we swam here until we went back for our BBB appointment and dinner at the castle...it all was so nice, the girls were seated beside each other at the BBB, only complaint was from DD8 was that her fairy godmother in training really really looked like an old grandma (and talked like one!:rotfl:)

Dinner was yummy at the castle but I can't believe it would've cost $225 if we were not on the dining plan!:scared1: I swear I have put on 5 lbs at least since we got here!:p

Sorry for the long post...Melissa you have a lovely family! I cannot figure out how to post any pictures from the Photobucket App!:scratchin

Bye for now....:grouphug:

Good Morning

Sarah love the flowers! Enjoy that large Balcony and view!

Babyberger very nice Pic of Cap'ts Grille Family of the Day!

So many RCers in the World

I'm starting to worry a bit....I peeked at accuweather's extended forecast, and SEPT 28, 29,(parasailing!) 30,(MNSSHP), and OCT 1 (Discovery Cove!!!) are all calling for RAIN!!! logically my mind tells me, it's too far out to accurately predict anything.....then my reasoning starts in....."but these are professional meteorologists, they must have some reason to be forecasting rain!!!" -- they are raining in my parade  I can't have rain, especially sept 30/Oct 1!!!!!!! And this isn't the little "possible thunderstorm pic" on accuweather's, it's the full-blown rain pic :( :( :(
I only bought clothes for nice HOT weather!!!! I don't have anything for rainy weather!!!!!

Marie my advice is do not look at the weather forecast, Florida's weather changes hourly it seems. I have seen it rain on one side of the street and not on the other.

Pas-Very glad to hear you're on the mend. :goodvibes

Hubster mentioned to me I needed to figure out voting...I'm flying out one day earlier than he is in Nov...and guess what day it is??? I sent an email off to the clerk to see what I need to do to vote absentee. I'm sure it will be easy peasy lemon squeezy....:rotfl::rotfl:
 Absentee ballot, easy peasy....fill it out & mail it in....that's it! We missed an election year to go to WDW, and I requested it early October I think...and my ankle is sore, but better...that's my fault for working 70 hrs in 6 days :confused3 WDW funds (and XMas, and I just bought new Disney winter coats....:p)

We are here and all settled! Got here about 11 AM, the deluxe room I had requested was ready.

:hug:Sarah, those flowers are lovely!!!!!!!!!!!!! Enjoy!!!!

Unfortunatley, you can't control the weather, so it's not worth worrying about. Some of our best Disney moments have been in the rain. We bring ponchos and water resistant shoes and make the best of it!!! You'll be fine. But, here's a little pixiedust: to keep the rain away.

Exactly 7 months from today - we'll be back in Disney!!!:banana:

The April park hours came out on the TA sites yesterday, so I got busy planning, planning, planning our days!!! Our schedule looks awesome if I do say so myself. Lots of chill time, which DH really approves of.

I also have to say, that it has been since August 27th since my last change, and even though I've had some twinges/urges...I honestly can't come up with a more perfect configuration for this trip. :goodvibes

Hope everyone is having a happy Tuesday!!!

I am loving all the photos from everyone there!

Danimal and I have been so sad and missing Disney. We may have to morse our trip to May but no big deal. It gives me time to lose a little extra weight before we go. I've lost 6 since we've been home! My goal is 10 a month. I think that's reasonable and I can do it. I don't want to be this weight on our next trip.

Hello from rainy, wet WDW! We were in the MK this morning, got there in time to see the opening show. About 11 AM we saw the sky getting dark in the distance, heard thunder, so we decided to head back to the BC. Good choice, it has been torrenting for about an hour. Raining sideways, thunder shaking the buildings, unbelievable

However, this was a picture early this morning at the MK.

And I love to start my day at the MK riding the horse drawn carriage to the castle! if you look closely, that's my older DD getting on in the back row (sleeveless green shirt, ponytail) and my DH (already sitting) in the back row.

Feel badly for Miss and family, but it was gorgeous for awhile. Fingers crossed it blows out early because I believe this is Jenny's night at MNSSHP.

O'hana for dinner tonight. We have our car so we will just drive over. Hoping to get over to my beloved GF after dinner. Depends on the weather.

More later!

Thanks for the welcome, pas! I decided not to change our plans...yet - I still have 3 more days. I would love to head back to BC (my second favorite resort), but it might be nice to give BWI a try. WL is nonnegotiable :)
Chimo, I will be there at the same time as you and have been obsessively stressing over the weather for the past week. On Saturday, the forecast was calling for pouring rain M-Sa of next week, then on Sunday the forecast miraculously changed to "abundant sunshine" for those same days, and then yesterday it was calling for pouring rain again all next week. This is all coming from the same weather source. Today it is looking a little bit better. Why must they play with my emotions like that!?!? Anyway, I've decided that the forecasters have no clue what the weather is going to be, and they must just enjoy driving people to the verge of insanity.
I hope everyone there now is having a magical vacation :)

What you both have to remember is this is Florida and our weather is SCREWY!!!! Most of the rain happens in the afternoon but it usually doesn't last long. Occasionally we have a few wash out days but the are never usually consecutive. I watch the weather too and can't keep us with all the changes. Don't panic yet!!

Hi RCers!!! :wave2: Just stopped by to thank everyone for the wonderful pictures you are posting. The RC family certainly is a good looking one!!! :thumbsup2

Sarah, that photo would have been perfect if you'd be in it too! I do love those horse drawn carriages, but haven't been on one in years...maybe January!

Your room location is perfect - know you will enjoy that huge balcony! Know just which room, and balcony, is yours. :) The flowers are lovely!

Saw on the national weather today that there is a hige storm going over FL - hopefully it will pass quickly. ::yes::

Hugs to all...oh..and do take a ride on WedWay again... for me..;)

 Rcers!!
