The April park hours came out on the TA sites yesterday, so I got busy planning, planning, planning our days!!! Our schedule looks awesome if I do say so myself. Lots of chill time, which DH really approves of.

I also have to say, that it has been since August 27th since my last change, and even though I've had some twinges/urges...I honestly can't come up with a more perfect configuration for this trip.
:goodvibes Yes, Candace you're done changing...me too, we are all cured :rotfl2:....just kidding, I agree YC/Poly CL is pretty darn perfecto and YAY for park hours :cool1:

I am loving all the photos from everyone there!

Danimal and I have been so sad and missing Disney. We may have to morse our trip to May but no big deal. It gives me time to lose a little extra weight before we go. I've lost 6 since we've been home! My goal is 10 a month. I think that's reasonable and I can do it. I don't want to be this weight on our next trip.
May is fabulous.....so is August....:beach:

Hello from rainy, wet WDW! We were in the MK this morning, got there in time to see the opening show. About 11 AM we saw the sky getting dark in the distance, heard thunder, so we decided to head back to the BC. Good choice, it has been torrenting for about an hour. Raining sideways, thunder shaking the buildings, unbelievable

However, this was a picture early this morning at the MK.

And I love to start my day at the MK riding the horse drawn carriage to the castle! if you look closely, that's my older DD getting on in the back row (sleeveless green shirt, ponytail) and my DH (already sitting) in the back row.

Feel badly for Miss and family, but it was gorgeous for awhile. Fingers crossed it blows out early because I believe this is Jenny's night at MNSSHP.

O'hana for dinner tonight. We have our car so we will just drive over. Hoping to get over to my beloved GF after dinner. Depends on the weather.

More later!
See you later Sarah!!!! Loving the live report

Thanks for the welcome, pas! I decided not to change our plans...yet - I still have 3 more days. I would love to head back to BC (my second favorite resort), but it might be nice to give BWI a try. WL is nonnegotiable :)
Chimo, I will be there at the same time as you and have been obsessively stressing over the weather for the past week. On Saturday, the forecast was calling for pouring rain M-Sa of next week, then on Sunday the forecast miraculously changed to "abundant sunshine" for those same days, and then yesterday it was calling for pouring rain again all next week. This is all coming from the same weather source. Today it is looking a little bit better. Why must they play with my emotions like that!?!? Anyway, I've decided that the forecasters have no clue what the weather is going to be, and they must just enjoy driving people to the verge of insanity.
I hope everyone there now is having a magical vacation :)
Kook did a BWI/WL split...best of both worlds, I think you'll hve a great vacation. And if ya change, that's all good too!!!! Nice work holding strong :thumbsup2

What you both have to remember is this is Florida and our weather is SCREWY!!!! Most of the rain happens in the afternoon but it usually doesn't last long. Occasionally we have a few wash out days but the are never usually consecutive. I watch the weather too and can't keep us with all the changes. Don't panic yet!!
I am sure all the RCers appreciate the reassurance...I hardly ever worry about the weather, because you just never know ;) And Miss does one mean Elaine style rain dance....:lmao:

Hi RCers!!! :wave2: Just stopped by to thank everyone for the wonderful pictures you are posting. The RC family certainly is a good looking one!!! :thumbsup2
We really ar all so FABULOUS ::yes::

So many wonderful plans for January!!! Maybe we need a longer trip!!! :rotfl2:
:scratchin Weeelllllll.....haven't booked flights yet :hyper:

Okay I am slowly working my way backwards through the posts, this will probably take a few posts in between kids activities and homework.

We are here and all settled! Got here about 11 AM, the deluxe room I had requested was ready. We have a huge balcony, over twice the size of the other balconies at the BC. :goodvibes We are overlooking the quiet pool but can actually see part of the canal the Friendship Boats pass through on their way to EPCOT. We had a late lunch at Beaches and Creme, I am relaxing on the balcony until we go upstairs to CL for appetizers. After that we plan on going into EPCOT. We haven't been into a park yet but it doesn't seem crowded at all.

They delivered these flowers to our room this afternoon, a nice touch!

More later. Miss and family should be on their way!

YAY! Enjoy the balcony!!!! Hmmmm, I wi coder if we were in B&C at the same time? We stopped for ice cream before we got in the road, maybe 3ish?

Hi Ladies!

So...Exciting to hear Sarah, Miss, and Melissa, Padawans....anyone I missed...are now in WDW too! I can't wait for the meet up! Anyone else joining in?:goodvibes

Yesterday we were at DD where the girls got their outfits for BBB and the Halloween Party tomorrow night. Thankfully there were no meltdowns! yay!:hyper: Then we hit Epcot until about 8:30 pm. We left right before illuminations, We are still shy about staying too late, and are a bit scarred from a horrible experience getting out of the parks after fireworks last year.:crazy2: it was so nice...DD 3 is now tall enough to enjoy all the rides with us.:thumbsup2

Today was MK until about noon, then we swam here until we went back for our BBB appointment and dinner at the castle...it all was so nice, the girls were seated beside each other at the BBB, only complaint was from DD8 was that her fairy godmother in training really really looked like an old grandma (and talked like one!:rotfl:)

Dinner was yummy at the castle but I can't believe it would've cost $225 if we were not on the dining plan!:scared1: I swear I have put on 5 lbs at least since we got here!:p

Sorry for the long post...Melissa you have a lovely family! I cannot figure out how to post any pictures from the Photobucket App!:scratchin

Bye for now....:grouphug:

Sounds like your trip is going awesome!!!! I hear you on CRT....we have done it OOP and on the DxDP, this year will be OOP, ouch!!! But worth the experience for sure!!!

Marie my advice is do not look at the weather forecast, Florida's weather changes hourly it seems. I have seen it rain on one side of the street and not on the other.

Happens here all the time! I still laugh when I see it! We were on the ferry this weekend and it was torrential rain at the Boardwalk, but barely sprinkling at YC&BC. Go figure! ;)

Yacht Club or AKL CL ~ that is the question of the day...(and the question that was rolling around in my head all night)... :lmao:

Really??? Even after I emailed you those pictures???? AKL looks nice but is so far away from everything. We strolled the boardwalk one morning, enjoyed the ferry, stormed SAB, roasted marshmallows on the beach, and that was in a short 2 nt stay. Oh and illuminatios from your balcony....come on, can't believe you would consider changing from YC.

Well, now I've done it!!!! I royally screwed up my plans!!! :headache:
I should know better than to change things with my trip so close and free dining to boot!!!!!

when Andrew (DS16) found out I had ditched SCI FI in favor of yachtmans, he WAS NOT happy! he said we have too many steak meals planned!!!! this is from my steak-loving boy!!!! :faint:
so, I go looking to try and change things back....nothing available for dinner at Sci FI on the 3rd of OCT :( of course!!!!

Luckily, I hadn't canceled our Sci FI lunch at 11:40 yet when I booked yachtmans ......think, ok.......think!!!!!
Hmmm, let's just go back to KONA again for dinner at 6:30.... Lots of variety there.....go online to book, and find a 6:25 for 4 on the 3rd. Try booking and the DANG page won't let me go past customer info, keeps asking me to sign in, which I try 20 times, I swear! And it still stays frozen and won't let me continue.......GRRR :(
try my phone app, and now it only shows 7:45...... NOOOOOO!!!!! That's too late! So, now I'm stuck. I can't get a timely reservation for KONA dinner, and Nothing's available for SCI FI at dinner!
Feeling a bit confused now at what we will do! I've got an email in to POLY IPO, but have a feeling I'm. Sweet. Out. OF. Luck right now :worried: wish I'd left everything ALONE!!!! That'll teach me to change! :( :( :(

Those ADR's are enough to push anyone over the edge. I ended up changing mine around while we were there ;) and DH want me to reorganize our future ADR's and now he wants to see the menus. Oh boy!!!!

It seems you got it figured out! Hope it all works out for you!

No, no, no. 'twas just a thought and prior to you sending the pics which I loved!!! I'm staying put!::yes::

 Rained way too much here today:umbrella:

LOVING the photos and updates from BB and JC. It makes us all feel like we're right back there again - thank you!

Where the heck is our Little Miss Packing Cube? Did she EVER get off ME or is she riding back and forth from WDW to MCO?

What happened to our LuvX3 (Deena) and her updates? I want to see some photos of her new Disney digs and know how many times they've been so far. Where is she on FB? I'm not registered, but maybe I could take a peek?

Hi ladies! Rained on our parade... literally. We went with the flow, as you kinda have to whist on vacation. The Celebrate a Dream Come True, which we had a Fastpass for, was cancelled.. but the had a rainy day option instead. Got to see so many of the characters, like Smee and Captain Hook. All good in the end! (Even tried a Dole Whip Float, yumm-o.) Tried to keep my phone from getting water-logged so missed out on a few picture taking opportunities :( Here's one of Miss M with Merida though:

Janet Thanks for the inspiring words. I did quite well today. I had a poor dinner, but I only ate yogurt and grapes for breakfast and lunch so I think it balanced out alright. I am going to take Lily for a walk tomorrow if the weather is alright. If it isn't I will do some Zumba. :dance3: I need to shed these pounds if we are going to do the DxDDP in the spring. :rotfl2:

Jeanette I know, but Spring is just calling to me. I'm also thinking of a long weekend next October for MNSSHP/F&W. :thumbsup2

I am loving all these updates! Such lovely families. Thank you guys for sharing with us.

Miss your rooms is so lovely! I would love to stay there when Lily is old enough to appreciate the room.

THANKS :goodvibes my friends, for all the rain reassurance! I will try and go with the flow.....I'm mostly concerned about MNSSHP/cabana pool day, Parasailing and discovery cove, as those are non refundable activities!
Fingers crossed it all works out....
Talk of rain made me go online and look for a suitable and lightweight rain jacket.....I found one in plus size (I'm not as tiny as Columbia/north face seems to think all women are!) at REI.....it got a lot of good reviews, called REI ultralight , and because my BFF lives in PA currently, I saved by getting free shipping and no. Sales tax, so she'll pack it to Disney for me :)
Hopefully it will serve me better than a blowing piece of plastic poncho ;)

........EVEN better would be.........NO need for it at all :)

MISS O&A: I LOVE your room pics :) breathtakingly beautiful!!!!

SINGLE DIGITS TODAY! :cool1: and now that I'm off to bed, it's early enough to say........
ONLY 8 days till DEPARTURE day ::yes::

Still catching up with life but wanted to stop in quickly this morning and say I tried to do an RC this morning but it wasnt meant to be. I was trying to move our Feb trip from WL to YC, but believe it or not all the SV and GV rooms are gone already :confused3 Its the first week of Feb so not like it is heavy into the spring vacation season yet. I tried to see if there was a conference going on then but couldnt find anything.

DH is telling me to book an alternate weekend for Oct since we still dont know when the bday party is going to be :furious: We were thinking if we could get YC for Feb then move Oct to WL and then let the kids pick which resort they like better for Feb, but since it doesn't look like YC is an option we will probably stay put for Oct.

Okay back to picking up and cleaning for MIL who is arriving tonight

I hope all of you in WDW are having a blast and you have sunshine today pixiedust:

And HI :wave2: to everyone!!!

Melissa

Good luck with MILs visit, availability DOES change on a day to day basis...:hyper:;)

Jenny, Missout, Jungle Cruiser, Melissa, Padawans  Hello to all the RCers that are enjoying WDW! :cool1:

Melissa, Great family picture! :goodvibes

Marie, BasketLacey, Won't be long till it's our turn, too!!:yay::dance3:

Pas, You are so right about availability changing! I've been trying to get BC (garden view) with a discount for ages, today, woo-hoo!! :woohoo: So, we changed from YC. Since we're not doing CL this visit, the closeness to the BC Marketplace will be helpful.
Was also able to get a mil discount on BWI stay. :worship: Thank you WDW. Crazy system they have at Disney, but I'm finding that it's well worth checking regularly.

Pas and Kook, Add me to the list, no FB yet.
On the other hand, I do have indoor plumbing. I'm not totally behind the times. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

I would advise against the following:

I am home during my lunch break, and I had to find something in our "Disney Box" which is basically paperwork and mementos from our Disney trips. In doing so, I tallied up the costs of our trips since 2009.

We have spent (and I include our upcoming 2013 trip in this), $23,600!!!! since 2009 on Disney!!! :faint:

That's a car, or DVC....I advise against ever looking at your total Disney expense :lmao:

I love that so many of our RC family are posting from WDW! Loving all the pictures! I'll say it again .... beautiful RC families!!!

Janet I feel very lucky that I get such a long vacation in January. I hate winter .... DH loves skiing and has a season pass so if I'm gone a lot then he doesn't feel guilty about leaving me so much .... it's a win-win. :thumbsup2

Jeanette my very favorite time in WDW is during the holidays .... I just love all the decorations, the Christmas parade and best of all the Santas in Epcot!!! And guess what??? It'll all be there for the Granny trip!!! :cool1:

Have a great day everyone!!!

I'm starting to worry a bit....I peeked at accuweather's extended forecast, and SEPT 28, 29,(parasailing!) 30,(MNSSHP), and OCT 1 (Discovery Cove!!!) are all calling for RAIN!!! logically my mind tells me, it's too far out to accurately predict anything.....then my reasoning starts in....."but these are professional meteorologists, they must have some reason to be forecasting rain!!!" -- they are raining in my parade

Buying the rainwear should guarantee you won't need it, seems how things usually work :thumbsup2

Agreed, sjs! We took at TON of stuff for rain on the Wonder to Alaska and it was sunny in every port! Chimo, we've been going to WDW quite a bit lately (considering how far away we live from Florida!) and a couple years ago, I started to feel a little disappointed if the weather was colder than expected or rainy. So then I decided to just count on WDW as a fun destination, but not to expect warm or sunny weather and that's helped a lot. I'm currently picturing a rainy MNSSHP next month and decided that sun/warmth would just be a bonus!

Hi Melissa! So glad you loved YC!!! Love the family of the day at CG photo! Good luck with the Oct/Feb plan! (Would you consider BC?)

Gwynne, yay for BC discount - congratulations!!!! I'm currently stalking the website for a Chef Mickey's ADR, which is kind of odd for me. First, we usually decide on our trip plans far enough in advance to get our ADRs, but this time we made a "last minute" decision in July to go to MNSSHP in October. And second, we've been to Chef Mickey's so many times and it just sort of fell off our rotation. It's not my favorite, but we're staying at CR on the night of MNSSHP and our youngest has never been there, so I'm feeling like we should do that for his bucket list. :) So your post is encouraging - never know what could show up!
