Sounds like plans are really coming together! Yay! We had the porthole room on our cruise and we loved it. It was fun to sit in the porthole and be so close to the water. They won't even miss the balcony!

my youngest niece will bunk in with me! She let me know that when we're getting for bed at night that we can call room service and they will bring us Mickey's bars....I think her and I are going to have a ball rooming together!

We were saying the exact same thing while we were there! We would be at less than a month but I'm trying not to think about it cause it makes me so sad! I keep forcusing on August now....but oh how I would have loved to see the World again in all it's Christmas glory!

Plans are coming along aren't they? We will head to my sister's next weekend to read thru the Navigator's they brought home with them from their latest cruises!

Oh dear, sending well wishes to Jeff and his family. My aunt just had a similar surgery, and so I know firsthand how stressful that can be for the loved ones. It's good that he's getting a vacation soon, something cheery to focus on.


Sounds like you and your niece are going to have a great time being roommates on the cruise. Who doesn't love Mickey Bars before bed?

You are so right my girl!! It is helping keep his mind off of it, but she is doing remarkably well! The doctors are amazed at how quickly her recovery is happening! She is such a great lady!

She cracks me up! I think a really small part of her was glad Shan had to go bunk with Jeff Get's her auntie all to herself!

I'm very sorry to hear about Jeff's mom, I'm hoping for positive results for her. What a wonderful thing that he stepped up to take on the responsibility for his grandma.

Jealous! Wish I lived close enough to a border to hop over for some retail therapy.

Sounds like you guys are all going to have a blast on your cruise, and I agree, it makes sense to save a little on the room with the porthole and share your veranda.

Hey chicky, I just realized that you'll be on your way to the World as I type this! He does love his Lola, she has lived with them since Jeff was a baby so he knows no difference! I love that both him and Shan spend time with her when they are at his house, she's just the cutest little thing!

They are so excited about their porthole it just makes me smile. THey keep saying they're getting the best of both worlds!

I'm sorry to hear about Jeff's mom! I hope that everything ends up well.

Pretty lucky! Jeff was so funny tho, he said, I'm pretty sure we'll all be together all the time other than sleeping! Family is everything to him!

Thanks!! We had great days that's for sure! She was hilarious Brenda, she had her drivers license on the table just waiting to show it so the girl said "well since you have it out, I'll look at it" and then the poor thing couldn't figure out where her birthdate was on it! I tried to help her and then realized I didn't have my reading glasses on

Our province's drinking age is 18, some are 19, but she's been legal here for 3 years!

I'll be sure to get pics of us and our Mickey bars

Happy New Year everyone!!! Here we are at January 11 and I'm just saying that now Between work and the horrible weather we've been having I have had no time to Dis! I'm either working, shovelling or just trying to stay warm I am happy to report our -51 temperatures have left and tomorrow will be 0….sounds like shorts weather to us here

Soooooo…let's get on with this post! First things first, Jeff's mom is fully recovered and cancer free!!! That was all we really could have asked for and we all got what we wanted! She is one amazing lady! Thank you all again for your thoughts and prayers!

Second….Pop Century has been booked from August 10-18 for Shanleigh and I. Our dear friend, once again, was able to book us there at 40% off so I will definitely be using the savings for a little retail therapy in Disney! My sister and her family have booked Aug 18-23 for us all at a two bedroom villa at AKL but are wait listed for Aug 17 so let's hope that comes thru…hey, an extra day in Disney is an extra day in Disney We are all booked and deposits have been made for our 7 day Eastern Cruise on the Fantasy!!! The rooming arrangements, just in case you forget because I'm so awful about updating, are my sister, her hubby and their oldest in their room, their youngest and myself in the adjoining room and then Shanleigh and Jeff at two decks below us in their room. We are all on deck 7 and Shan and Jeff are on deck 5. We get off the cruise on Aug 30 but decided to stay that night in the World and head home on August 31….just one last day!!

Third, we will be looking at flights today, but wowzers, are they high! I have enough points to get one flight paid for so Shanleigh and I will just split the cost of the other and call it even! I would like to fly thru Minneapolis on Delta, however, Shanleigh loves loves loves Westjet so we very well may be collecting our luggage in Toronto and connecting there, but we'll see! Jeff and my sister's family will all travel down together and the entire group will hopefully travel home together!

We can book our ADR's for Shan and I starting Feb 11 so we will be doing some planning today around that! We will also look at any excursions etc that we want to do on while we're on the ship….Spa, did someone say Spa??

We also have our park passes that I had enough points for so all we need to do is add 3 days and park hopper when we arrive! Jeff cannot wait, he is like a little kid on Christmas morning. Speaking of Christmas, at dinner that evening Jeff of course had 3 helpings and Geodoc kept saying "you are going to love the cruise, they'll keep bringing you food as long as you want them to" I think Jeff's eyes glazed over at that point!

I will hopefully do another post tomorrow will the plans that we finalize today! I hope you are all well and I also plan on catching up on my subscribed threads this week….I promise

Crazy is the right word! If it snows here much more I'm not entirely sure where we'll put it!

Blessed, the woman is blessed! We were beyond happy when the final news came in!

Everytime I think of this upcoming trip my stomach does a little flip flop!I agree with both you and Shan, no airline beats Westjet, they are hands down the BEST, I just hate having to collect our luggage, but at the end of the day it's a small price to pay!

I will admit that I did sneak a read of your TR at work, just didn't post a reply but I promise I will this week!!!
