So sorry for your loss. Our dogs grab our heart and own us, don't they?

We thought we were going to be putting our beagle (13 1/2) to sleep on Friday but the vet thought we should try a short hospital stay first. She had improved yesterday and, if that keeps up, she will be coming home today. Thing is, we leave one week from today for WDW and she is dh's baby, I know he will worry about her the entire time. (Of course, I will worry too, but he has a special affection for her.)

I tear up every time I hear of this happening. I'm so soory, Dave, and I know exactly how you feel. I had to have my little Skye put to sleep in January and it still hurts sometimes. You have such fond memories, and in time you will be able to smile as you remember. My thoughts are with you.

She's gone....not quite. She will always be in your hearts,

I lost my dog when I was 24. Had him for 15 years.

I am in my late 60's now and from time to time I think of him.
