SUNDAY, Feb 22! "Science!"
Today was the day that Chris became obsessed with Epcot.
Well, maybe not obsessed but he had never been to Epcot before and he really, really liked it. It was a great day.
Hey Jude , by the way, was still playing on the radio station and did play all the way from our driveway to the parking lot at Epcot. Yikes!
We got to Epcot as soon as at opened and headed straight to Test Track to get a FP. While waiting we went over to do UoE. We were early for the show but we both really loved it. I forgot how much I liked that ride. Chris thought it was great too. After that we went over to Test Track, which was very fun. Then we got a FP for Mission : Space. Thus began our love of M:S. M:S was awesome. I was a little dizzy the first time I went on it but I was fine after a while. Then we wandered through Innoventions for a bit and headed over to WS for our noon PS at Biergarten. We got there early and had a bit of a wait because they were not open yet. We ended up sitting with a nice family from NY. We loved it at Biergarten. We did miss the show , however, as we were too early.
On our way back to FW, we stopped on the Viking Ship and the Maelstrom. We had no wait for the Maelstrom. It was very fun. Then we went back and did M:S again and Spaceship Earth, which now had no line. We also did Imagination, and Honey I shrunk the Audience. We went to the Living Seas and the Land. In the Living Seas, Chris got me a stuffed Manatee , the first of many stuffed animals I would be getting on this trip
Then we went back to the WS and walked around and looked through some of the shops. We stopped to watch the living statues in Italy for a bit. I saw Pooh & Piglet in Great Britian! Chris got me a stuffed Piglet at the toy shop and I had my picture with both of them. Piglet held my stuffed Piglet and Pooh held my manatee!! Then Pooh tried to run off with my toys! That fiend!!!
We spent the rest of the day at Epcot doing various things. Time flies so fast at Epcot. Finally , it was time for our 8:45 PS at Marrakesh, which turned out to be our favorite meal of our trip. This time, we were too LATE for the show !
We just can't win!
We took our time walking back to the car. It was just so nice walking out, looking at the sparkling sidewalk. It hits me that we have missed an entire part of Innoventions, not to mention the stuff after TT and M:S! We'll have to come back here!
Time to get some sleep and rest for Day 3!
