Hello all,

Do you use this shortcut to get to all areas of Disney, I am just trying to print out maps so we don't get too lost on our journeys.

Google says the Sherberth Road way is longer in time to say Typhoon lagoon than their suggested way. I am assuming the Sherberth Road way is so you don't have to cross traffic on the 192??????

Going loopy now, why did I leave this planning until the last week before we leave ????

What is your starting point? :confused3

We use Sherberth for all of the parks just because of traffic. It is probably quicker to use World Dr for Epcot area.
Sherberth is especially good when returning from the parks to WH. Just follow the signs for Animal Kingdom and then AK Lodge when you get closer. Take a left at the Sherberth Rd intersection and go back the way you came. We usually cross 192 at the intersection and go south on Entry Point, turn left onto Funie Steed, the right onto Morgan Williams and right on Old lake Wilson. No traffic.
It's especially good if you leave Disney at closing time. While everyone else is heading out World Dr toward I - 4 and 192 you're heading to AK area.
Whichever way you choose won't be a big difference except for AK using Sherberth.

Thanks very much, I thought it would have something to do with the traffic and crossing the 192. I will print the maps I need and go with the flow :)

We used to use Sherberth when we drove to WDW from US 27. It's a handy shortcut to AK and AKL. (Did you know that you can see the roof of AKL from 192)? Not sure if it saves a lot of time if you are going to other parts of WDW though. Maybe if traffic on 192 is backed up to World Drive.

We are leaving tomorrow morning and driving down to WDW, also staying at Windsor Hills (I should be packing now). I was curious how bad the traffic on 192 is, b/c using Sherberth Road seems longer, distance-wise if going to MK or Epcot.

Sherberth use to be a speed trap. Not so much any longer that I have seen since the county patrols the regular WDW roads regularly now.
Western Way is definitely a speed trap now. And have seen the same for World Dr.
Of course not ong ago within two days of each other I saw two different vehicles in different wrecks where the cars were upside down. :scared1: (One was right in front of CSR. How that happened I have no idea.)
And have twice seen vehicle fatalities ion property too.
So sure speed traps help in the long run.
