Sheraton Vistana Villages

Hi Guys,

Making plans for our trip this year. Can anyone tell me if Sheraton Vistana Villages has any room renovations going on? When we were there last year the first room we received was near the back end of the resort (name of building is escaping me right now) but the rooms were in need of a renovation. We were quickly moved to the St. Augustine section which I loved by the way. But we are going with a bigger party this year and I wanted to know if I should have all three families put in a room request before arrival or if all the rooms have been renovated. I know Vistana Resorts just went through a big reno but I was wondering if they did anything over at the villages.

I just called there yesterday, and they said St Augustine was the new section and that Key West was the most recently renovated. So you would probably be safe requesting either of those sections. Don't know if anything else has been done or if renovations are ongoing.

We were at Vistana Villages three weeks ago and were in building 13 in the Key West section (the section at the back of the resort). The villas in our building had just been refurbished and I think that we were the first to occupy our refurbed villa on the fifth floor. Buildings 12, 13 and 14 had just been completed with the exception of replacing the lamps which they did during the week.

They were working on Building 15 or 16 while we were there.

I suspect that the refurbishment is still going on in Key West but it's conceivable that they've finished by now. The pool area in Key West was also being refurbed while we were there but they were about to re-open it during the week after our vacation. So most, if not all, of the Key West villas are the "newest" at the resort.

Detailor, any pictures? What did you think of the refurbishment and the Key West section in general?

Thanks so much everyone. We really loved the St. Augustine section so we are hoping to get that again. But it's nice to know they have done some refurbs on the rest just in case.
