We luved our stay @ the Vistana last June beautiful & well-maintained unit in the cascades section.

Only complaint was the pool (full of bugs & mulch - believe it was due to high usage during the day).

I want this tub in my bedroom

We LOVE Vistana. We have been owners for the last 12 yrs and we own in Spas which is the 2nd oldest unit and I have no problem with it. Sure the wallpaper is alittle dated but I dont usually spend much of my vacation stareing at the wallpaper. I love that they have so many acitivites always going on. We arent huge park people and usually only visit 2 or 3 so we spend 4 or 5 days at the resort and doing half day things. My son loves the pool games, bingo, arts and crafts, movie nights etc. We love the super pool and Zimmies resturant. They have karaoke and themed nights which are always fun. I also like that we have a full kitchen.

Anyways, we LOVE vistana!

This will be my third time staying at the Vistana and I love it. We are going again in July for a week through Skyauction. We had booked two weeks but they were filled on the second one so we needed to make other plans. While some of the rooms are not glitzy I can say that we have stayed in Cascades which is the new one and some of the older ones. We were very happy each time and actually prefer the older units because they have more space.

OP if you had a bad stay by all means contact the Sheraton home office and list your complaints I KNOW they are very responsive b/c I stayed the first year that Vistana Village was open and had some things that I was upset about and they bent over backwards to accomodate me.

I guess I am just suspicious of someone who begins their first post on a board with a negative review.

We just got back last night from the Vistana stayed in the Fountains II and we loved it. I did avoid the other desk where I was to get my welcome packet but you know what? When I went back to get my room key they had me go over there cause I needed my parking pass...I forget our guys name but he NEVER called us for a time share presentation not ONCE in 7 days. I got this room thru Skyauction. I had filled in the Diamond Lane Check In Form and requested Lakes, Fountains II or Cascades. When she said we were in the Fountains I said isnt' there anything in Lakes and she acted like she was looking and then said there are only 1 bedroom units in the Lakes and Cascades, now that's not true right? We checked in Friday 3/30 at 11 am...I got the feeling she didn't want to put us elsewhere...but it was ok we liked the Fountains II just fine. We were in unit 1584 and loved that waterview..although sometimes when my DS6 would wake me up at 7:30 am to go out "exploring" I didn't love it so much.haha He loved feeding the ducks, GIANT catfish, and turtles. We'd definetely go back here again.

I think it is not that they do not want to put you somewhere else BUT when you rent through Skyauction they have only certain units that are reserved for that purpose. YOu would have to deal with the RCI people in order to get a change and they put you only where they have the available inventory.
