I saw that Dreams Unlimited had a "discounted" rate listed but that is for 2013, and when I follow the link nothing comes up for 2014.

We are trying to decide between October or November/December and early 2015 and wanted to see the rate differences just to see if that helped us make our decision.

Where can I find the best prices? We were interested in Bonnet Creek but Gina's post (and subsequent purchases) has us intrigued. DH just wants a jetted tub. LOL

I admit, I'm a little December shy for Disney because we nearly froze in 2010!

October is our favorite time so far!

Hi Stephanie,

I just gave the Dreams Unlimited link a try this morning (the one found here: http://www.dreamsunlimitedtravel.com/sheraton/vistana/svr-res.cfm ). While the info on that page only shows to December 31, 2013, when you click the link to go to Sheraton's reservation page, it does bring up the no housekeeping rates for the 2014 dates. :thumbsup2

October is showing as $149 per night plus taxes for 2 bedroom villa, for a total of $167.63 nightly or $1173.38 for a 7 night stay.

The terms are a one-night deposit due on booking. Any changes or cancellations and you forfeit that deposit.

Cancellation Policy:

The time for canceling without penalty has passed. If you cancel, the forfeiture amount will be a 1 night penalty. If you cancel after 4:00 PM hotel time on 10/09/2014, the forfeiture amount will be 100 percent. There may be additional applicable charges and taxes.

Rate Plan Description:

Dreams Unltd Nohk. Rate Does Not Include Daily Housekeeping.

Age Requirement Policy
Guests must be 21 years or older with photo identification to reserve a room.

GTD/Deposit Policy:

USD 149.00 deposit is due on 01/18/2014 and will be charged to the credit card provided.

Hope that helps! :goodvibes

One quick point about "best time" from a rates perspective; there really isn't one. Another quirk of timeshare resorts (or at least Vistana and those with programs like it); since all owners in a section pay the same maintenance fees regardless of time of year, and also since owners generally want to rent their unused weeks for near what they paid, those same owners get upset if the Management Company (Starwood) starts undercutting what they pay with their own direct rates.

The rate that Gina quotes is very close to the annual maintenance fee for a 2BR, and that is a pretty consistent rate floor throughout the year (same rate I paid for a couple of extra nights in March). Rates can be higher during true peak times (for your dates that would be Thanksgiving week). It is sometimes possible to get the accommodation cheaper in a travel package as it's hard to determine exactly what the accommodation costs are.

You can often times get a better rate from an owner who is more concerned with limiting their loss on MF's than recovering the entire investment.

Thanks! We really are torn between March/April and October. I can't bring myself to try December again. LOL! :rotfl:

Thanks! It wasn't working the other day. I swear!

Still waiting on my university's schedule to print. Don't they know I have a vacation to plan? :surfweb:

Which parks are you visiting? October will be less busy than March/April. We always travel the first week of April because I teach. The weather is great at this time but it is spring break. Another thing to consider is when Easter falls. The weeks surrounding Easter are the busiest weeks of the spring break season.

We have been to Florida in both April and October. I was just asking about the accommodation rates. Because we are homeschoolers and my husband doesn't work a "seasonal" type job, we aren't confined to certain travel dates. It's niiiice. But sometimes makes me over analyze everything. LOL
