Sheraton Villages...get out of reservations?

Ok...........I fell for timeshare deal. ( guilty!!)...$149.00 for four nights, etc. etc....
YES!! I understood that I had to sit thru a presentation...I had no problem w/ that...
Here's the problem.......7:30AM!!! That is my timeshare appointment...I received in the mail today....I called and they stated that was the only time available!! 7:30AM...sorry, but I'm on vacation....they will not give me another appointment, nor will they allow me to cancel my tour...

I was even told they would keep my $149.00, and if I don't show up, or go to the tour...they can bill me for the entire stay at rack rates....

Has anyone found a way out of this mess!!!

My wife warned me about timeshare traps.....Sheraton has a black eye in my book.....

I'm a DVC member, and I love the way Disney presents it products...they never play the hard sell!!

I own at the main Vistana and I'm also a DVC Member. I agree about how relaxed and non-stressful Disney is. Sheraton Vistana, in my experiences, has been higher stress and used hard-sell tactics. The Villages is a beautiful resort from what I hear.
As for VV charging you rack rates for your entire stay ? This sounds illegal ! I could possibly see them retaining your $149 at best ? When is your reservation for may I ask ?

My reservation starts on March 24th for four nights...A one bedroom unit on premises....

I know you don't want to hear this, but I would go 7:30 & get it over with. You will have the rest of the day to yourself. Stay for the required 90 minutes then get up & leave. Simple as that.. you will get your stay for the $149 and still have the entire day to yourself to go to the parks or what ever you want to do. To me that beats having it in the middle of the day or even at 9am.....

When are you going? I have the same deal--except its 2bdr, 2 bath, for $149! That doesn't include tax which amounts to about $14 per night, so total that cimes to $205. Plus, they told me I'd get $100 cash when I attend the TS pitch, so that's $105 total for 4 nights! However, we haven't gotten our time yet. I'd actually prefer an early appointment, get it over with, instead of hanging around waiting or coming back in the middle of the day. We're going Apr. 26-30. Maybe we could trade if I get a later time? Something to consider. Also, they told me if I cancelled the reservation they'd keep the entire $149. The only time they'd charge rack rate for all 4 nights was if you stayed the 4 nights and failed to attend the TS deal. Really, its not a bad deal..............$105 total for 4 nights, you pay that much (with tax) for one night in a value resort at WDW. Worth hauling it out of bed at 7 am!

How I got this deal was they called me. Here's the phone number they gave on the confirmation letter, you could give it a try-- 800-326-3260. You could also go to their website www.spg.com. You have to click on special offers, or vacation ownership, or something like that. However, I signed up for this offer last Sept. I don't think they're currently offering the same offer. The last I looked at their website I think it was some sort of deal for just three nights, but give it a try. Good luck!

What I would do is show up for the presentation with a stopwatch. Start it at exactly 7:30. Tell the sales guy you are doing this and that you want to let them know you do not intend to buy no matter what. Dont eat any breakfast they offer as they do not count that towards your 90 minutes usually..keep them to the time and when the timer or whatever you use goes off tell them bye and walk away
