Any thoughts/comments about staying at Sheraton Park Hotel? Quality of rooms, service, etc?

Is it unrealistic to expect to walk between this hotel and the DLR entrance? On Google Maps it looks like about 4-5 city blocks distance. Is that about right (15 minute walk or so)?

I haven't stayed there myself, but my boss did soon after it re-opened. She had no complaints about the room. She prefers Sheraton because of the beds, and this one didn't disappoint. He only complaint was the walk. It is doable, however she would have much prefered being closer at the end of the day.

My dsis and family stayed there last week. I met up with them to spend a day at the park. They walked each time and felt it was fine. They have two girls ages 13 and 6 and my ds said it took them about 15 minutes to walk to the main gate from the lobby.
They stayed on the exec level and got free breakfast and evening reception with their rate. They liked their room fine but my ds said she wished they were at the Grand CA which is where they usually stay.

We stayed here in August and loved it. Had an awesome high floor room facing DCA. Room was nice, staff friendly and efficient and beds as-they-say "heavenly". I would not attempt to walk it though. We used ART two days and paid to park at DL on our last day. I would guess you could walk faster than the ART (cause they go in a big four block circle), but I save my legs and feet for the parks :)

LOVE the Sheraton Anaheim! It's our favorite place to stay...especially after our bad experience at the Annabella. When staying at the Sheraton Anaheim, we would take the ART.

But the last time when we stayed at the Annabella, We took the ART because, just like Vegas, the park SEEMED just a few blocks away, but it felt so much longer sometimes. Usually we would walk in the morning (cutting through DTD) and then take the ART back.

Thank you for the info! It sounds like we'll have a great stay.

Just to clarify - the hotel we plan to stay at is the Sheraton Park Hotel, south of DLR and by the convention center, rather than Sheraton Anaheim, which is north of DLR.

We stayed at the Sheraton Park a couple of weeks ago. (Dh, I, and two kids, 2 and 9 months). We liked it. The customer service was great and the beds comfy. We walked. Most of the time we went back in the middle of the day. It wasn't bad to us at all and took about 15 minutes. And just to clarify we only took a single stroller so that was with the 2 year old walking. The only time the walk was bad was when the baby woke up and screamed the entire walk back.

Ah! That's quite an endorsement. :thumbsup2

Yikes. That would change the walk just a wee bit!

Thank you for sharing your experience. I'm really getting excited, because now I'm sure I picked the best hotel for us!
