How were your stays? We have 1 night booked before our wdw vacation package starts. My husband is beginning to get nervous due to all the negative trip advisor reviews. I booked through priceline and even with the resort and parking fees saved almost $50.
We enjoyed our stay here very much! Clean, comfortable rooms, and a very nice pool area. We did not eat in the hotel restaurant, but we did rent a cabana and ordered lunch from the pool bar. The food was good: I had a cheeseburger and fries, my husband and older DS had wings, younger DS just ate fries LOL. The cabana was stocked with a fresh fruit bowl and plenty of non alcoholic drinks (water and coke products), cable TV and a ceiling fan, along with 2 comfy lounge chairs. You also have a host for your cabana to take drink, food orders etc.
Great location in proximity to WDW. Less than a 10 min drive to Disney Springs.
A few minor 'issues' (I hesitate to call them issues) that came up:
-DH bought me a refillable coffee mug that included free coffee refills for the duration of your stay. Had a bit of a hassle getting my refills a couple of times, as the staff was not educated on the "deal" w the mug
-I ordered a Mango Daiquiri while we were sitting at the cabana and our host asked me if I wanted a virgin or a regular drink. I said I wanted a regular drink and to "load it up with alcohol". When I go the drink and tasted it, it didn't seem like there was ANY booze in it. I asked the host and he said he gave me and extra shot in it, but that I probably couldn't taste it because the drink was so sweet. Now, if someone puts double shots in your drink, you are definitely going to taste it. BUT even if I couldn't taste it, I definitely would have felt it after slurping that drink down LOL. Regardless, I chose not to make a big stink about it, as I was on vacation and trying to not be stressed.
-Lastly, my DH went use one of the computers in the lobby to print out our boarding passes for Spirit, and NONE of the computers were working. Was it operator error or problems with their system? Who knows? DH went to the front desk and they were very accommodating, they set him up with the PC behind the front desk and he had everything printed out within 5 min.
As I said, these were very minor and certainly would not prevent me from staying here again!
We used SPG points to stay here as a PP said, it is only 3000 points a night. Just to note, that if you are SPG Gold or Platinum Preferred.....there is no Club Level and no Club Lounge. Also, there are the annoying parking and resort fees as a PP stated. We knew all of these things going in, and we were OK with booking as this was a quick spur of the moment trip on a budget for us.
Not the best Sheraton we have stayed at, BUT certainly not the worst. We would definitely stay here again!
