Sheets, Towels, and Pool Toys?

We are planning our first trip to Disney property this November. I apologize if these topics have been covered before. But I will ask anyway, because this board has so many Disney experts! :cheer2: I am finding it to be so helpful in my planning. Thank you!

Sheets: At the deluxe resorts do the sheets get changed everyday? If not can you request that they do? And if so, should you tip more?

Towels: The same goes for towels. Do you get a fresh set of towels everyday? And in addition are pool towels available at the pool? I can't imagine how much space pool towels would take up in our suitcases, so I am really hoping the answer to this one is yes! You might be thinking, "swimming in November?" But hey, we are from the north, so 70 feels warm to us!

Pool Toys: Are small children allowed to bring pool toys into the pool? Nothing large, just small watering cans, buckets, diving rings, and so on.

Thanks again! I am so excited for this magical trip! :wizard:

Hi!
I'll try to help with a few of your questions. Yes there are pool towels near the pools. When staying at Deluxe resorts, I believe they change the sheets everyday(they did when we were at the GF and BWI: I know b/c DD had gotten her face painted and it got on the sheets, and we checked and they were fresh ones) and they will give you new towels if you throw the used ones in the tub or bathroom floor. That way they know you need/want fresh ones. Tipping is up to you. By all means, leave extra when you see fit!
BTW, we always swim in Nov! the pools are heated and we've been really lucky with great weather, high 70's, low 80's. As far as pool toys, I'm not too sure on this one. I know that they have the noodles, and they allow those baby floats that look like little boats. However, I've only seen those in the quiet pool. I have never seen anyone with those types of pool toys like you are describing, so can't help you there.
Hope someone else can help better!
Oh, and WELCOME TO THE DIS!!!!!! :disrocks:

On pool toys- I know the beach club pool provided pails and shovels-at least they used to. And they sell all kind of pool toys-my ds played with a motorized shark all day. So I know you can bring them in in Stormalong Bay. I don't know what hotel you are staying at.

As the other posters said sheets and towels do get changed everyday and pool towels are readily available. As far as pool toys we've brought pails, shovels and watering cans with us for DD and never had a problem. Anticipate other kids wanting to play with them though. Whenever we go to a hotel or community pool I always bring extra so my DD can share but still have her own set to play with. The resorts also sell pool toys. I'm not sure about the pool rings though. I wouldn't think they would be a problem unless the pool was really crowded and playing with them disturbed other people's enjoyment.

I've never had sheets changed every day at any Disney resort whether it be deluxe, moderate, dvc, etc...I have had new towels everyday, but definitely no new sheets.

Anytime we have wanted new sheets we just pull them off the bed, wad them up in a ball, and throw them in the bathtub with the dirty towels. I figure that gets the message across pretty well. ;)

Small pool toys are allowed. We always bring the kids' noodles. Be aware that other kids may want to play with your pool toys too.

Thank you for all of the quick replies! As I have learned in the last week, you are all so helpful! I think I might be turning into a Disney Addict! It is just so easy to love! :lovestruc
