We are leaving next week for 3 night at SSR. This is our first trip as DVC Members. I have read on the boards that the sheets as SSR are too small for the beds but WDW was addressing the issue and was going to replace all of the sheets at all of the DVC resorts. Has anyone been recently and had a sheet issue? Are there sheets for the pull out sofa in the villa? Thanks for your help!pixiedust: :mickeyjum

We were at SSR in Octoberin a studio. I thought the sheets were the correct size. There was an extra set in the closet. We used that for the sofa bed again the fit was fine, enough to tuck in.

We were at SSR in December. Only problem we had with the sheets is that there weren't any fitted ones for the bottom. Darn thing came off each night and had to be put back on in the morning. No problem with sheets for the sofa bed.

We are at OKW and as usual... DVC does not have fitted bottom sheets. We brought our own sheets.

This one of DW's excuses on why we could not bring just carry-on. I don't buy it... but I love her anyway.

I was there 12/16-12/21 and we had no problems with the sheets. They don't use fitted bottom sheets but with the way my Dad makes a bed, it doesn't matter. His sister was a nurse and she taught him how to make those corners TIGHT.

Just back last week.

We had the upgraded sheets and towels. They are oversized but not fitted (no resort uses fitted sheets) and they stayed tucked much better.

We have fancy sheets in our ownerslocker, but these sheets were much better that I didnt even put on our fitted sheet set. We stayed for 9 nights and the new sheets and towels are much better. I just recommend washing the towels separate from everything else and they stay fluffy and white.

The sheets are are kind of wrinkly looking but not crispy.

At the DVC annual meeting last month, Sonya explained why WDW does not have fitted bottom sheets. It has to do with the huge, heavy duty washing machines used by Textile Services at WDW. The elastic on fitted sheets won't hold up in the washers. We just bring a fitted king sheet each trip.

Just a thought. Take your own fitted sheet with you, and then use the unfitted sheet to lay over the top of the blanket and/or bedspread. I did this last time and just slept a lot better knowing my arms and face weren't having to touch something that had been touched by someone else's arms and face (and perhaps not washed).

Good idea :thumbsup2
