Hi all,

DW went antique shopping over the weekend and brought me a gift of some sheet music with Disney songs. Each page has two color artwork of the characters associated with the song.
It will nicely complement my anticipated purchase of the Silly Symphony DVD later this year.

The titile is :

From Walt Disney's Famous Pictures
Mickey Mouse
Silly Symphony

Irving Berlin, Inc
Music Publishers
799 Seventh Ave.
New York

All of the songs have a copyright date of 1936.

My question is when was this published, 1936?

Any idea what the worth is?

The copy you have is from 1936. There was a reprint in 1969, same artwork, but slightly different wording in the banner. Plus it would say "copyright 1969". The 1936 copy is the only one that has the exact wording as you have listed for the banner.

Sheet music values have come down as has all old Disneyana since the coming of eBay. Based on recent eBay values, and the condition of the book, I would estimate the current selling price would be somewhere between $80 and $25.

Recently, "favorite character artwork" sheet music sells the best, so an early Mickey should be a prize for the right collector.

Thanks for the reply.
The book is in fair shape, cover is intact, some wear on the spine. No foreign markings. Inside is perfect!

DW will be thrilled to her what a bargain she got, $18.00.
It always amazes me how something like this can survive all those years.
As I said earlier, this will be a wonderful tie in to the "Silly Symphony" DVD coming out soon!
