I also babysat

when I was 14 I got a steady job
watching a newborn (three months old when his mom went back to nursing
and the dad sold insurance, so it was after school 2:30 until the dad got home about 5:30)

He got married last year!

I am not right now
since DH has the remote (hee hee hee)
but it is DVRing
and DD13 went upstairs to watch in real time
I'm watching it.

anyone watch McGyver?
years ago?

he could make amazing stuff with gumwrappers and a button
or any everyday item!

another show I loved was Pretender (featuring a main character named Jared who could pretend to be any profession) Seen it?
:confused3

I didn't get a class trip until I was a senior

incidentally, we went to Cedar Point on senior night
the park was open ALL night
which sounds cooler than it was

I got really tired
it got cold
and there was NO WHERE to crash....

BE Taylor performed that night (know him?)
and threw out bumble bee stuffed animals into the crowd
and I caught one

ah, I am caught up in high school again!

nope never heard of him

Let me just tell you more was40 stories....

my first job (at 15) was waitressing at Ponderosa
I made 2.35 per hour, and was supposed to make up to minimum wage in tips...

it wasn't especially hard work, mostly just bringing out the entrees
and clearing dirty buffet plates constantly

the best perk was half price meals there for employees
and a free soda while you were working
2.35 is nothing.

before that luxuriously high paying job

I was a candy striper at the hospital
worked in the little cafeteria
also waitress status

but that was strictly volunteer

it was fun
the outfits were red and white stripe
not very fllattering, I must say:laughing:
I volunteered at a hospital too.
well that was a wonderful walk down memory lane for me

are you all bored silly now?

no it was intresting

You are too young for McGyver, though the show is referenced in tv today.

2.35 was nothing at the time, too!
I left that job as soon as a better paying one came up
(which incidentally was bagging groceries at Shop N Save!)

:rotfl2:
Why yes, we know Kimmy is the ADR queen:rotfl:

I'm seeing Red Lobster in August.:wizard:

...hope that everyone had a good day and a great evening...
