The first time we visited WDW, DD lost her first two teeth in a single day. Luckily, Peter Pan alerted her (and us) to the fact that if you lose a tooth at WDW, Tinkerbell comes that night, not the Tooth Fairy.
And DD was pleasantly surprised the next morning to find some Disney dollars and various Tinkerbell goodies.
Two years later, we visited WDW again and DD finally lost a tooth that had been loose for MONTHS. Tinkerbell paid a return visit.
FF two more years, and we had a December trip planned. She'd been hanging on for 4-5months to two loose teeth and was counting on having at least one of those fall out at WDW. Sadly, they both came out about 4 weeks too early. I told her she appeared to be out of luck. But when we visited the dentist and she looked at x-rays, lo and behold, DD had one more loose tooth. It wasn't terribly wiggly, but its roots were completely gone so it could fall out at any time.
Nine days into our 11 day WDW trip, that tooth finally came out, with the replacement tooth well in place! Since DD was almost out of spending money, a visit by Tinkerbell, who kindly left Disney dollars, was greatly appreciated by DD.
If we lived in Florida, I could see her managing to lose a tooth every time she goes to WDW. Get a loose tooth, drive to WDW, get visited by Tinkerbell! But we plan these trips months in advance, with 2 years in between. She thinks she has some sort of freakish luck (I tend to agree) and maybe even a special link/bond to Tinkerbell.
I'm just amazed at her luck and can't wait to call her dentist.
