i am very late to this, but your post about Baylor had me teary-eyed. poor guy. and you are such a great mom!

and please, take care of yourself. are you still getting married here this summer? i just shot a wedding at the beach last Saturday and it was gorgeous! (and i know. i don't normally do weddings, but she was a longtime client of mine.)

If I can ask you all to keep Baylor in your thoughts. We spent the day shopping and getting him supplied with shorts, a few t-shirts, sunglasses and flip flops. Everything was going well and then we got to Hollister to get sandals and he started panicking about his leg being in the sun, unprotected.

My step-father was burnt on the job (60% of his body was 3rd and 4th degree burns). What wasn't burned was used for skin grafts. It took him several years to be comfortable in shorts or without a shirt on and he was 30 when it happened. Now we wish he would put a shirt on because, hello, 50 is NOT that attractive but it's amazing to see him so comfortable with himself. As a mom it would be so hard not to give him everything he asks for because he has been through such a horrific thing. My heart goes out to your son and your family on this thing that never really seems to go away.
