Hi everyone, I may be a little late with all this information, but I will give it a shot. I'm Ashley and my Fiance is Shaun.

A little background information. I have always been in love with Disney. My first trip was when I was five years old and I have been to Disney World over 14 times now. My fiance first went when he was around 12/13 years old, and also fell in love with Disney.

So we first started dating on February 9, 2007 and haven't been separate since then. We took a trip together for the first time in December of 2007. Went again in 2009 and again in 2010. We went to Disney in 2010 with my parents and grandparents. My parents became member of DVC in early 2009 so they decided to take us using their DVC points in December of 2009. On our first night there, Dec 10, we decided to go to Epcot. We grabbed a margarita in Mexico then went sit by the fountain in Italy to wait for the fireworks. My fiance asked me if I wanted to toss a coin in the fountain and make a wish, so I did. After I threw my coin into the fountain he asked, "do you want me to make your wish come true?" I was a little confused at this point, but then soon realized he wasn't joking around. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was perfect! It really shocked me because I thought it would happen in front the castle, but I couldn't have asked for a better proposal.

So on our trip, we got to peek in the windows at the Wedding Pavilion, but never actually went inside.

Once we got home we started planning a church wedding in our hometown, but soon realized that was not what we wanted.

So we talked to my parents and they approved. (Their love for Disney I believe influenced this decision a lot :))

So in June of 2010 we booked our wishes wedding. We will have around 30 guests which will consist of family and a few close friends. We booked the wedding pavilion and narcoossee's for our reception.

We had our planning session with Maxine on December 16, 2010, cake tasting, and a menu tasting at the Grand Floridian. It was very nice. At this meeting we got to see the wedding pavilion and narcoossee's insides for the first time. I know, some people think we are crazy, but everything at disney is awesome and kept up so we weren't worried.

We pretty much got everything done at our planning session.

I am currently working on favors for our guests and programs for the ceremony.

Only 5months and 2days. The time since our engagement has gone by so quickly.

Hope everyone enjoys!

This is the second favor. These have individually wrapped mints that read "thanks for sharing our special day with us"

This is the bag with the favors. One per family to be given out at the reception. Each family will get one candle dish and each person in the family will get a mint pouch.
I out them in bags because it will be easier to hand out and also easier for the guests to take them back to their resort.

We received the beo and floral proposal! Our day will be here before we know it!! There were a few things to work out on the proposals. Floral is all done and taken care of. For BEO, I am still waiting to work out a few, but nothing major! My little princess flower girl's dress came in! She calls this her "belle dress."
She is so excited to be in my wedding! She is a little diva and had to pose for her picture! lol She is 8 and lost her two front teeth a couple weeks ago. She is so worried about not having her permanent teeth in for my wedding. I told her it doesn't matter! I still love her no matter what!!

I love the way your fiance proposed! And the picture of the cake you're having is gorgeous! What a great cake!

I can't wait to see pictures of the programs, because I am trying to figure out what I want to do for my programs.

This is what they will look like! I just need to print them all out! :0)
Please excuse the error (Smith is on the next line - will be on the first when I print them out again)

I bought the paper at Office Depot. They were already designed for programs and the black outline was already on the front cover. $20 for 50.

So here is the story on the dress... My friend and I went to New Orleans to David's Bridal. I was not satisfied at all with any of the dresses. So, my mom and I were waiting to have lunch with some friends one day and my mom suggested that we go look in a local Bridal store. Well, I walked in pulled two dresses off the rack. The first one was a maybe, but when I put the second one on and looked in the mirror all I could say was "this is the one." And I said that they fifty times, and my mom was like okay! So she brought my dad over to see it one day while I was in class. He said it was nice, but his main question was what was the price. LOL. That was in May. In late July, I got the dreaded phone call "your dress is going to be discontinued, you have a week to order it! So I ordered my dress the same day they called after my class. It came in sometime in November. It was nice to actually put MY dress on and not a sample one. Also, the one in the store was ivory and mines is white. So needless to say my wedding dress shopping was painless and very easy!
Dad was happy with the final price of $1,000 for dress, veil, and headpiece. After all, I the only child and I'm his princess, so it was easy for him to say YES! lol

So the dress has a really long train which is detachable! I love that because I don't have to worry about bustling it for the ceremony and I the dress also has a baby train, for when I take my detachable train off.

I'm so glad I get to wear it twice. :woohoo:

Not the best picture but here it is......

Your dress is beautiful! I love the beading on the bodice and flow of the skirt. Very complimentary. :thumbsup2

And, it was very sweet of your dad to say 'yes' too!

@Kristi - Thanks! Yes, we live in Thibodaux!

@DisneyShamrock - Thank you! This was the dress I've always wanted! My flower girl and I call them our "belle" dresses! :)

That's right! You told me that on my PJ. My memory is obviously terrible...haha!

Okay! So the invitations and dress code cards are done! I came up with the wording for the invites and dress code cards, but got them printed at a local printing company. So, many people want to know what I have dress code card because typically for wedding's in our city they don't normally have dress code cards included with invites. BUT I absolutely hate going to a wedding and they have someone in jeans any things in between and then you have some guests that will come in formal gowns! It really gets on my nerves. LOL. So this way everyone knows what the appropriate attire is. And also, I've seen people wear white outfits to other people's weddings. To me that is just so disrespectful!!!

So these pictures do not do them any justice at all! The paper they are printed on is very close to the shiny/sparkly paper that Disney used for the save the dates; therefore, I have no designs because the paper is enough!

20 invitations, 20 dress code cards, Outer envelopes, and inner envelopes- $75 (the paper is what made the price rather high, but I'm only having wedding invites once - so I got what we wanted) :)

Oh, the invites and DC cards are in shrink wrap hence the crinkling in the pic!

When my dress came in I grabbed my jewelery from my senior prom (which was 5 years ago) and thought I would just have to try on with my dress. Well it just so happened my jewelry matched my dress perfectly! So I didn't have to go out and find any and saved $. :) Here they are...
