Sharon's Journal -150 here I come!

Hi Sharon!

Stopping by to say hello and see how you are doing..... Have a great Friday!

OMG! Can't believe I haven't been here for a week!!! It was an incredibly busy week at work and then I got sick last Wed & Thur. Then it was running around all weekend as usual........

I have been doing okay. Food has been okay. I have noticed that I really think about what I am eating and make concious decisions to not eat the fattening things, like ice cream or donuts. i still want those things, but I am managing to resist the urge - at least some of the time. ;) Michelle had dance competition again this weekend - Sat 7 am to 9 pm. I brought a bagel, banana and strawberries. So at least I got some fruit in and healthier foods. I am getting there a little at a time. I then went out and got a cheeseburger  , but didn't get fries. One step at a time! :p

So I am back here and reporting in. I still have a strong desire to loose 20 pounds in the next 5 months, but I don't see it happening. I am 1.5 months into the new year and only down 2 pounds. :sad2: I am still gonna try, I am still looking for other ideas or options to jump start this thing, but for now, I am gonna just keep sticking to the WW and trying to squeeze in a few extra steps where ever.

That's my story for today. This week looks to be busy as well, but I will try to get here more than last week!

Have a great day!!!! :teeth:

Hi Sharon,

I'm glad to hear that you are feeling better. It seems like a lot of people I know have been down with a flu bug recently, including my 2 DDs. I'm glad that you are feeling much better now!

Hang in there with me, Sharon! I'm not losing weight as quickly as I would like to either, but I know in my heart that we can both do this! :cheer2:

Have a great Valentine's Day!!

You are so right Tracy, we CAN do this!!! We will just keep trying until one of these days we get it right! ;)

Yesterday, unfortunately, was NOT the day I got it right. Did pretty well through out the day, and then evening came and it was BINGE CITY for me! Don't know what happened, but I just ate everything in sight. I wasn't even really hungry!! :confused3 AAAARRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!

Today I am doing MUCH better. I have had 4 servings of veggies and fruit already, 1 dairy. So far, only 9 points eaten!! WOO-HOO! That is important, because we are having pizza, wings and ice cream cake tonight to celebrate my DM's b-day. I will try to keep my eating within reason. After yesterdays debacle, I need to behave.

I took a quick trip around the building just a few minutes ago. Up the steps on one side (4 flights), across the middle and then back down. Of course it is nothing great, but at least it is a few extra steps. No exercise today because of the b-day party. :sad2: I NEED to fit exercise into my life somehow!

That's it for now. I hope everyone is having a great Tuesday!

Hi Sharon,

We all seem to be struggling at the moment. I think it is the winter doldrums. I hope you are enjoying the birthday party.

Take care,
Beth

Hi All! Woke up yesterday morning to no heat! :cold: Thankfully it was a warmer day, so it only got down to about 58 in the house. I stayed home to wait for the oil company. I had 1/2 a day scheduled anyhow as I had to take the kids to the dentist for a cleaning in the afternoon. It was nice to have an unexpected break in the week. After the oil burner was fixed, I managed to get the house picked up and a few loads of laundry done. That is a very nice bonus for me! :teeth:

I did really well yesterday, especially since I was home unexpectedly. I tried Healthy Choice breakfast sausage. 2 patties are only 1 pt. I put them on a toasted english muffin and added a slice of cheese for a total of 4.5 points. Very filling and satisfying! :flower: I drank tons of water and tea (which I drink plain). All the water and low points helped me see a nice number on the scale this AM. Now I just need to keep it there!! :earboy2: I am trying to continue my focus on veggies and fruit. Using my points for them is what helps me see results. Yesterday I had 3 servings of veggies/fruit and 2 dairy. That was extremely good considering I only ate 11 points for the day. I know that is really low, but I ate healthy foods and wasn't all that hungry, so I figure it is okay for one day.

I had the muffin with sausage and cheese again this morning as well as a banana. I have already drank about 4 glasses of water (32 oz). I brought a lean cuisine and carrot sticks for lunch. I am having beef stew for dinner. I think it should be a good day for me. At least I hope so!!!! :Pinkbounc

Yesterday was the perfect opportunity to exercise. But I didn't. :sad2: I had every intention of going to Curves, but after the dentist it was raining really hard and I just didn't feel like going out in it. So then I planned to WATP. Instead I got involved in a book and just didin't do it. i am pitiful! :guilty: I do so well with food, but it will be meaningless with out the exercise! I learned that last year for goodness sake! i've got Curves on my agenda for after work. I sure hope I motivate my butt to get there! :bounce:

Have a great day everyone!!!

Wow :earseek: Sharon!

You are doing so well with the food! I'm so glad you posted about the sausage cheese english muffin thing. I'm trying to help my DD make healthier choices and she just loves bacon-egg-cheese muffin thingys. I'll have to try that one out for her.

Your food sounds so clean! I'm really working on the fruits and veggies, too. It does make a huge difference.

Keep up the great work. And stay warm :cold: TG the furnace went after the Blizzard!

:cold: Thank God your heater was fixed so quickly.

You are doing great with the food. Don't be so hard on yourself about the exercise and do what you can. Have a great weekend. :flower:

Thanks for the encouragement Sunny and Wilderness! :flower:

Yesterday went fairly well. I ate some cookies which weren't part of the plan, but all in all, not a bad day.

Today is off to a great start. I dropped the kids off at school and headed straight to Curves. It felt good to exercise first thing like that. And I am happy to have that off my mind for the rest of the day. I am thinking of squeezing in a WATP later this afternoon if I can. I really need all the exercise I can get. Neither one of these activities leaves me sore, so I am not concerned about doing both in one day.

After Curves I stopped for a bagel and coffee (had a banana earlier). Then it was a stop at Staples for Turbo Tax, filing supplies, boxes. I came home and got the computer room straightened up a little. It is not perfect, but considering it is also Bobby's playroom, I am content with how it looks for now. I've got laundry going, cleaned the kitchen counters. Just need to haul a bunch of games/toys down to the cellar and the kitchen will be in good shape. Then I am off to the Tile Store to pick out some new tile for the bathroom. I have been trying to get to this store since Jan 1st, so it is long overdue!!

Not sure what I will do for dinner tonight. I don't eat meat on Fridays during Lent, so not a lot of choices. The rest of my family doesn't care for fish. In fact, there is no one food that all 4 of us like that doesn't include meat. I will think about it during the day and try to come up with something. I will snack on yogurt and celery for lunch. That will get my fruit/veggies and dairy counts up!! :teeth:

I am really feeling very impowered today. Don't know why, but am quite pleased to get so much accomplished today!! Here's hoping the moment continues through the rest of the day!

Have a great day and TGIF!!!!

TTFN- Sharon :sunny:

Woohoo Sharon!

You are a woman on a mission! You go girl! :cheer2: It sounds like today has been a wonderful day for you! Here's to many, many, many more wonderful days for you, Sharon! :drinking1 ( BTW... we're celebrating with water!;) )

Have a fantastic weekend, Sharon! :sunny:

Good Morning!!! :flower:

It is snowing like crazy here. They said 3 to 6 inches yesterday; we've got 7" plus and it is still snowing. YUCK!! :cold: I am wroking today so that I can take Thur and Fri off. The kids are on Feb vacation and I am hoping to do some museum trips and shopping with them. Roads were horrible on the way in - I hope they are much better before I head home later!!

I am VERY excited to report I had a great weekend healthy living wise. I did Curves Friday and then on Sat we went to a camping show at the Big E - lots and lots of walking! Yesterday was no exercise, but that's okay. I am planning a WATP as soon as I get home today. I have high hopes to get exercise in at least three times this week with the kids off from school and activities! :cheer2: A little me time shouldn't be so hard to carve out this week. :teeth: Food was also very good this weekend. No snacks at all. Veggies/fruit weren't as high as normal, but I am happy with everything overall. This AM's WI said 182. That is a great start for my Monday. If I exercise and eat well this week, I should see a nice WI next week as well. I just have this very positive feeling that it is going to be a good week for me. TOM was last week, so I am in the clear for a few weeks of serious healthy living!! :Pinkbounc

That's my story for today. I hope everyone has a nice Monday and enjoys their day off!! :earboy2:

Sharon,

Good morning! I only have a quick minute to post, but I want to thank you so much for your words of encouragement in my journal! I appreciate you! :grouphug:

Sharon, we CAN do this! Let's stick together and see if we can conquer that scale once and for all!! They say there is strength in numbers. Let's commit to doing this for us today! :teeth:

Have a great day Sharon!!! Thanks again! :grouphug:

Yes Tracy, we WILL conquer that scale. I'm gonna continue to just take it one week at a time. For 1 week I can follow my plan. Next week will bring its own challenges, so I will just focus on this week. :flower:

Yesterday went quite well. I ate within my points, but I was a little low on veggies. I need to hit the grocery store because I am completely out of fruit and veggies now. :confused3 I got home from work and did the 3 mile WATP routine before I went down to my Mom's for dinner. Yay for me! :Pinkbounc I would like to do it again tonight and then hit Curves for Wed and Thur or Fri. I am really trying to take advantage of the kids laid back schedule this week! :teeth: If I could give myself a little kick start, it would be easier to stay OP. If the scale goes down, I get very excited and more determined. So I am really gonna focus this week and just make it happen!

Today's food plan has honey nut cheerios for breakfast, Lean Cuisine and carrots for lunch, steak and salad for dinner. There will be lots of water and too much coffee, but since I drink it black, it shouldn't do too much damage. ;)

Hope everyone has a great day!

TTFN - Sharon :sunny:

Hi Sharon,

You are on a roll. It sounds like you have some fun things planned with the kids this week. I hope the weather cooperates. I am sick of this snow.

Keep up the great work, and next week's weighin will be awesome.

Have a great day,
Beth

Sometimes I just don't get it! I have been so "On" this week. Eating well, exercising, feeling confident. Stepped on the scale Tues am - up .5 lb. Stepped on this am - up .5 lb. :sad2: I just can't understand my body! :guilty: I felt so confident that THIS was going to be my week. No TOM anywhere near, eat right, get the exercise in......Instead I am going BACKWARDS! AARRRGGGGGHHHHHHHH! It is SO frustrating.

But I am continuing to eat healthy and focus on my exercise. I have made it a point this week to make the trip up 4 flights at work and around the building at least twice a day. Not sure if I will exercise tonight (didn't yesterday), but I will definitely go tomorrow morning to Curves. I have the day off because the kids are on vacation and I don't have a babysitter. After that we are headed to the eye doctor and the mall I think. Dinner tomorrow night will be at a Japanese Hibatchi. It is DH's Bday and I thought that would be a fun evening for all of us. I will bake him a cake tomorrow as well, but I think I will be able to resist the temptation. ;)

Today's food was
B- 2 slices rye toast, banana
S- Yogurt
L- carrots, chicken strips
D- pork loin and broccoli

As I said, the food is going well. I am focusing on my veggies and fruit. Dairy has been pretty good as well. Which is why I am so confounded by that darned scale! :Pinkbounc :badpc: And yes, I have been pushing my water too! The scale is just gonna have to catch up with my good behavior and that is that!!! :p

Have a great Wed!!

TTFN- Sharon :sunny:

I'm off to a GREAT start today. 9:30 am and I am on my third load of laundry, DH's BDay cake is in the oven, made eggs for DS's breakfast, hashbrown's for DD. I had a banana and coffee so far. And of course 2 glasses of water! ;)

Didn't get to Curves yet, but that will be right after the cake comes out of the oven. Then it is eye doctor, a little shopping with the kids, wrap the presents, and out to dinner. We are going to a Japanese Hibatchi - should be fun! :flower: That is of course if the snow holds off! :sad2: We are supposed to get 5 - 8" by tomorrow morning. I am REALLY getting tired of this white stuff! :cold: And then they said something about more Sun or Mon - YUCK!!!!!!

I am still trying to concentrate on my healthy eating. Salad for lunch today so that I have enough points for dinner tonight, but I think that Japanese is fairly point friendly for me anyhow.

Well, I'm off to fold the next load and start yet another. Have a great day!! :moped:

TTFN- Sharon :sunny:

Hi Sharon,
:bday: to your DH.

You sound like you are on a roll today. Have a fantastic time tonight. I love going to Japanese steak houses. Yummy.

Take care,
Beth

Hi Sharon,

You sound so positive! Yeah!!!! :Pinkbounc I hope DH's party goes great. Sounds fun.

more snow????? I think we need a support group to get us through this winter. We're slated for 2-5". Just enough to be annoying!!!!

Enjoy your evening :flower:
