Sharks restaurant questions

We are thinking about dining at Sharks restaurant when we go to Seaworld in early February.

1. Do they have Priority Seating (ADR's) like at WDW or do they have actual reservations?

2. How soon do you suggest I reserve for our February trip? (being the quiet time and all).....or do we need reservations at all?

3. The park, I understand, closes at 6 at that time. Can we make reservations after the park closes (or at 6)?

Thanks all

princess: I e mailed seaworls and asked about reservations and they said no priority seating was available, but that you can put name in starting around 10 a.m. at the outside podiums.

I have been reading about this restaurant and it looks great.

can anyone compare it to Coral Reef at Epcot?

canadave:
have a great time at the shark restaurant. The pics look great.

Thanks Suzy,
We've were at the Coral Reef Restaurant a few years ago...and it was awesome (even caught Mickey scuba diving while we were dining)...we were going to go there until I read about Sharks Restaurant...they look similar, but with 'only' sharks at Seaworld...and no Mickey :rotfl: ...anyway, we wanted to try something different, so Sharks it is

gidge...I called the restaurant and got the same kind of message from an employee...disappointing that there's no reservations or PS's :sad1: ...anyway, I'll be there as soon as it opens

Have a great time at this restaurant. We are going to try it out Dec/Jan 06/07. The menu looks fabulous.

We'll give you a report on the restaurant at our next Peterborough DIS meet...or before :teeth:

We ate there last February for lunch and loved it. We got there fairly early, got our name on the list. My daughter fed the sharks while we waited. (about 5-10 minutes) The food was excellent. By the time we came out it was 12:45 and there were sooooo many people standing around waiting to get in i would hate to think what their wait time was.

We love Shark's...however, they don't take reservations and if the park is busy, then they will be busy. Expect 45-60 minute wait. Just go there an hour before you wanna eat and put your name down and then they will tell you to come back in an estimated amount of time. OR, you can eat right at the bar if you don't have kids. And btw, the bar is a mini fish tank.

Their food has always been good and the overall appearance of the restaurant is awesome. There's really not a bad seat in there.

We've had: Crab cakes (the best we've had); pizzas; coconut chicken; chicken w/sausage; salads; kid's chicken is great too! The coconut chicken comes with an incredible sauce, definitely suggest the chicken and crab cakes. I did not like the Great White salad, it was more like a cole slaw. The other two salads are great. Here's their menu if you'd like to view it: http://www.wdisneyw.co.uk/swmensug.html You can follow the link to the left for other restaurants there too. I didn't care for the Seafire Inn and I hated the Spice Mill. Mango Joe's has a great fajita salad for like $7.xx. Voyagers has more than just pizza, and it's always gotten good reviews but I've yet to dine there. And I live in Florida so I can get good BBQ any day and I also prefer eating with a fork and knife, lol.

Shark's is all good. Best place in SW in my opinion considering you can actually eat in a great atmosphere for less than $10 a plate if you order the pizzas/appetizers.

BTW - I have to put a plug in for Bahama Breeze in Orlando. It is my absolute favorite place to eat and we go there at least once when we visit Shamu land. I have never had a bad meal and even my girls get excited that we go there. LOVE IT! Can't wait, we're going 1/28!

Have fun~
Cheryl

Thanks dolphinslady...sounds like you're a veteran of the Seaworld park!

Yepper!! We live about 1.5 hours away and we've been taking our girls there since they were almost 2 and they just turned 4, lol! They love it and I'm a dolphin lover so it's worked out great. Next year we may try DW but one dd is afraid of the characters so we're waiting. I'm sure we'll still buy passes to SW, we love it.

Take care and enjoy your visit!
