We spent last week at the waterparks getting APs to do Shark Reef a few more times.
On various visits through the lifeguards I asked said the reef would be closing Labor Day.
It was only open noon till 4 and lines were very long at opening. They almost were at the bridge over the lazy river and as noon approached it was evident most families had one waiting in line and 3-7 people joined making the wait longer. I left the line knowing it was over an hour wait but went back later. Lines were typically back to the place where you get masks or sometimes to the shower.
New to us this trip everyone has to wear a life jacket---anyone know why??????
Only one side was open and it was the one away from the line area. They used to rotate daily but the one was never open. I know they keep it for the pay snuba, but it seems to always be empty. It would have been nice to open it with the crazy long lines.
I will miss Shark Reef. It is one of my favorite things at Disney.
