For my family, the food at WDW is an attraction unto itself - we typically plan out our meals before we start thinking of the parks! - so I couldn't pass up Free Dining this year. We always find it difficult to try new places while hanging on to old favorites. This will be our first trip ever that doesn't start with 'Ohana, which will be weird, but we're looking forward to the mix of old and new:
8/16 Sci-Fi for lunch: This trip is celebrating DS's birthday, and he said he wanted MGM to be his first park and Sci-Fi his first meal. He can't wait to eat in a car and watch the old movie clips!
8/17 Chef Mickey's for a late breakfast: This is another of DS's requests. We'd cancelled a Chef Mickey's meal our first trip and have not made it there yet. It's EMH morning for MK, so I hope to have our favorite attractions under our belt in time to relax a bit at the CR.
8/18 Whispering Canyon Cafe for dinner: We had a very disappointing experience here our first trip but decided to give it another try. At worst, it's a free meal, right??
8/19 Le Cellier for a late lunch: I've been dying to bring the Dkids ever since I had a fabulous solo meal here.
8/20 Crystal Palace for breakfast: DD adores Tigger, so this one is just for her.
8/21 Boma for dinner: DD would eat every meal here if I'd let her! It's our family's #1 restaurant at WDW, and it's a family tradition to eat our last dinner here.
8/22 Boatwright's for breakfast: DD "needs" the strawberries and cream, even though she eats them regularly at home anyway; I simply must have the sweet potato pancakes. We'll be sad to leave, but boy it'll taste good!
Mmmm, it was good to think of all this again. Hope it's as enjoyable to read!
