So.. My husband and I live near Philadelphia, PA and the power ball was up to 252 million last night! So we went out and bought 5.00 dollars worth and wouldn't you know we didn't hit.:worried:I was really wishing that we would so I could go out and buy a Motor home or something. And we are currently living with my parents so that I can take care of my 89 year old grandfather full time, and to help my parents out with there financial situation. So sad still I suppose tent camping will not be that awful, I will still be very excited for our first Ft. Wilderness Trip!:thumbsup2

Now I"m depressed too. You could have bought new motorhomes for ALL of us!

Yes I probably could have! :thumbsup2 And gotten a discount since my father is like an RV GOD, and has been in the business for almost 23 years!

I'm more depressed than you,,I spent six dollars.

Well last week we spent 15 dollars on tickets and went all around the country side to buy them. lol I guess I just need to give up ill probably spend more money playing and never win although my husband works for giant food stores and always plays the scratch offs and he almost always wins.

My Dad always said that playing the lottery is the same as driving down the road and throwing a dollar bill out the window. Funny thing is, now that he's retired comfortably he always reminds my Mom to buy that powerball ticket. :rotfl:

When it gets above 50 million, I always buy $5.00 worth. My theory is that you will never win unless you play, I won't miss the $5.00, and you hope that whoever does win, uses the money wisely and does not forget others.

Here you go....should I ever win the lottery...I will buy you that RV.....my dis promise to you....I admire you for taking care of your grandfather full-time...I work at an assited living home...and amazed at how many people just drop family members off and then never visit.....it breaks my heart....

Why thank you! lol It definitely is not easy, I enjoy his company, its hard especially dealing with him along with a 3 year old all day. But I guess that's what you do for family. Hopefully I can get an rv one day.

So what your say'n is, that $48 million isnt worth the $5.bucks ?

So how's that theory work'n out for you so far? :lmao:

My chances of winning are the same whether I play it or not.

I appreciate those who work in assisted living and nursing homes, My mother was just moved from assisted living to a nursing home. I can understand people not visiting not to say that it is right. It is emotionally draining to visit my mother. She knows me but doesn't know exactly who I am. It breaks my heart too.

Did you see the story about the guy who won? He's going to use the money to pay his bills and may still keep his minimum wage job at the convenience store he works at. He did say he was going to take his kids to Disney World.

:woohoo:, I wonder if this will be the first time they visit WDW? If it is ( or not) I hope they get majorpixiedust:blown over them. What a time to be had!

I did see the story im really happy for them. I think its great what he is doing and im really happy it went to someone that really needed it.

I get so POed every time I see a story where someone hits it big and says I am keeping my crappy job and getting new tiers on my 10 year-old truck or some such nonsense. I mean really you could have done that anyway with a little planning. Why do you play if all you want to do is what you are already capable of doing. Stay the heck out of the way so the rest of us can buy everybody a new RV and book 500 sites at FW for a year for the grandest grand gathering that ever gathered. :rotfl::rotfl::banana::banana::cool1:

Now that sounds like an idea... rent out the whole campground for DIS.

When i went to visit my aunt, we ate at Pei Wei, two of the fortune cookies had some strange fortunes, and the chinese word on the back was April and Lucky. I played both sets of numbers the first week in April, and I think I might play it again for my birthday at the end of the month.
The first time I got nothing. The most I've ever gotten off the lottery was 5$. I think 20$ on a scratch off in canada once.

I have been a little lucky with the lottery. I usually win $12-$20 regularly on the powerball and win pretty regular on the scratch offs. I thought everyone won like that...lol. I only buy 2 tickets at a time so I'm not blowing a lot on it. Haven't won the big one yet but have won $1000 and many times in the hundreds. I am disappointed when I don't at least get my money back...lol. Well, when I do win the "big one", I will be renting out lots of spaces for a huge Grand gathering with bottomless kungaloosh. Sure wish it would hurry up already!:lmao:
