Sharing meals

I really want to check out a boardwalk steak house but the cuts are just so big! Is it frowned upon to share entrees at the higher end signature dining locations?? This is something i normally wouldn’t even do but that is because there is usually an option for 6oz steaks.

There's an entire pinned thread about sharing meals, but typically no, it's not frowned upon.

We share meals occasionally. It usually is not frowned upon. In fact if you tell your server in advance the chef may separate it for you in the kitchen.

Not frowned upon and some of the steaks are meant to be shared as per the menu like the Porterhouse at the Yachtsman for instance.
