Sharing meals on MYW Meal Plan

We are a family of 4 - 2 adults and a 13 year old and 9 year old doing the MYW Dining Plan in Aug. We are wondering about sharing adult meals.

For example, can our family of 4 share 2 adult meals at a sit down restaurant like 50's Prime Time Cafe. Then, we would have extra credits for doing things like HDDR. Has anyone done this?

I have read about many people doing this with no problems. The only places you couldn't would be at an all you can eat or a buffet. We are planning on doing this next year when we go.

I don't see why you could not do this....

They are your credits to use as you wish...

Obviously, would not work for a buffet though...

Also, you would have to pay OOP for 2 drinks...

The meals at Prime Time are not that big to share. The only one that is large is the friend chicken. I'd let everyone get their own food as to not go hungry. Since you are saving so much $$$ on the plan you could probably pay out of pocket for HDDR.

We had no problem sharing credits at non-buffet type meals & there was plenty of food for the 3 of us.
DS & I shared a credit at San Angel in Mexico & at Le Cellier in Canada. We also shared breakfast platters from the food court at POR. I usually paid cash for a cocktail or wine with dinner & so DS got the non-alcoholic drink that came with the meal. The servers were hapy to bring an extra plate.
At the food court we hd our refillable mugs so we just took our drinks that came with the meals back to our room for later.
