How do table service restaurants feel about you sharing meals if you are NOT in the dining plan? Is this okay to do? in all my previous trips, I have been on the DDP or never shared but for my upcomng trip, this may be a possiblity if the TS restaurant is okay with that.

Anyone have experience with TS sharing of meals?

It is definitely ok to share meals when paying cash, as long as you aren't at a buffet or family-style restaurant (like 'Ohana).

This is all accurate. At restaurants with traditional table service, you are certainly permitted to share or split meals however you choose. You will not be treated differently.

No problems at all. In fact, some places will even split the plate in the kitchen for you.

You can even share meals while on the DDP plan as long as it is NOT a buffet AND as long as everyone at the table is on the DDP. You could not share a dinner with another person who is not on the plan. So if your room key list 2 adults and there are 2 adults dining, then you can share. We have done this on several occasions when we have not been that hungry (sometimes ordering an appetizer also) or to "save" an extra credit or two for a signature restaurant later.

Really? I had no idea. But then again I always get the DP when my hubby goes and no way would he share a meal! He wants it all to himself! LOL!

My mom is going this time and she is a very picky eater and doesnt eat very much and I will be in the process of losing weight (hopefully!!) so I will not be eating as much as I have in the past.

My DH and I always split meals so we have room for dessert later. We do always leave a larger tip, as if we had ordered 2 meals. Many come out already split and almost always is a portion that is more than enough for both of us. I hate wasting food and that's what happens if we each get an entree...:)

Since my daughter seems to think most of the choices on the kid's menus are "Yucky" she has asked and it has always been granted to have mine split on two plates in the kitchen. That has been on DDP, DxDP and even CASH.

I think Disney tends to really want to make certain you are full because portion sizes? Too much.

*Note* I split her desert at Cinderella's Royal Table because we thought the adult choices were "yucky".

Okay, cool!:cool1: I was a littlw worred about our HS day cause I truthfully dont like any of the CS places there so I was thinking we could book a TS but its SO much food! This will be a great option for us. I figure with my mom and my DD, we can order 2 meals and just share them! thanks!
