Sharing/Giving Away Pin Codes

So I received an offer in the mail for free quick-service dining... shared the pin with my friend who already has ressies, but she called to see if they can do anything and they said this offer was only for me? Is it because she told them her friend got the offer? Would anyone be able to use the code or is it linked to our family name?

Would it work with a new ressies (other friends didn't make ressies yet)?

I would think if someone would call and say, "I have a code for free dining... here it is... it would work"?

Then again - I have no idea!

nope, they are specific to name/address and cannot be shared.

They cannot be given to another person, but you can "share" the code if the family is traveling with you and you link your reservations. We do this if we travel with other to Disney, whoever gets the best deal books it and they can apply it for up to 3 rooms.

I know that they are only to be used by the person/s addressed, but I do know of some occasions as posted on this board of someone passing along their code/ discount for someone else to use. There was a big thread about it. However, I am very aware that it is supposed to be used by the person/s addressed and should not be shared.
