If DH and I are on the DxDDP and my parents are not, can we share our food with them at, say, LeCellier?

I am not saying that they would use our credits, as I know that is not allowed. What I am wondering is if we are allowed to share the food that is included with our two credits?

I know that a total of 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, 2 desserts, as well as the leftovers that my kids don't eat AND the bread would be plenty for the four adults. They would order their own drinks and maybe an extra dessert. My parents are light eaters, as am I, so I am wondering if this would be allowed. We would still be using only the 2 credits for DH and I so I would think that it would be OK.

All opinions welcome!

According to Disney policy, you may not share your dining plan order with persons who are not on the dining plan and not on your reservation. Even though you are also using the dining credit, you would also be using it to provide a meal for someone who did not purchase the dining plan.

I'm certain there is no prohibition against allowing someone in your party a few tastes of your food, but using your dining credits to provide them with a full meal is not the way Disney intends the dining plant to be used.

That is kind of what I thought, but I don't think I have seen it addressed before. I knew that the sharing of the credits was prohibited, but I wasn't sure if sharing the food would be a problem.

Knowing this saves me a lot of time and calculations. Thanks for the heads up!

Our experience: We were on the regular dp my 10 yr daughter and I shared twice last year on our 11 day trip. (Chef de France & Rose and Crown)and they let us share and we just paid for an extra drink. Waiter never asked how we were paying till the end of our meal. I saved a couple credits for 2 tbls services at Narcooses for my husband and I. The food amount they give you is crazy.

You can share amongst your party if you are all on DDP at most restaurants. The OP wants to share a meal with persons who are not on DDP. It is against Disney's rules to use your dining credits to provide meals for people who are not on DDP.
