could someone please explain to me, in idiot terms shares? how much they cost, how you buy them, how they work and the benefits etc? Disney seems to be becoming a yearly thing for us and I wondered if we would benefit from being share holders. thanks in advance everyone. Laura Xx

Perks of the shareholders club can be found here You need to have at least 100 shares to become a member now. Shares are about ¬4.56 (close of trade today) each so you will be looking at roughly ¬456 plus commission which varies with the banks.

Halifax usually do a deal once a month on commission so you only pay £3.95 per trade where usually is £11.95.

Membership needs to be renewed every 2 yrs and you have to have proof you still own the shares to join. You don't earn any dividends with having shares in Disneyland Paris, this may change in many years time once they start turning a profit.
