however i dont think i am going to buy my shares through here

basically want i want , they dont do

i want to buy the shares for someone else. does anyone know how i can go about this?

Hello again.

Why on earth do you need to send a copy of your bank account and to who? Selftrade?

yes its to selftrade, must show your name and address on it

im a bit wary sending it to them

I think it's just to clarify that the account you are using to purchase shares is actually yours. I sent mine and they sent it back by return.

Oh thank you :thanks:

It just seemed quite cheap to buy them for the perks you get.

Yes this is quite cheep. At least one advantage of the financial crisis.

Some years ago you needed 2000 shares to get the Shareholders Club for free. But then DLRP reduced the number of their shares. (They divided all shares by 100) That's why you only need 20 shares now.
With the reduction of the shares the stock price was also converted. The last price per share before this change was 0.09€ and after the change the price per share was 9€
But now the price per share is down 5€ which is not very good for the company as this would only be 0.05€ per share in times before the change.

We can only hope that the stock price will go up again.
But until then it is a good time to become a member of the Shareholders Club without spending much money.

When I joined the Club in 2004 the price per share was ~ 0.40€. And as I have 2000 shares (20 now) I paid 800€ to be able to join the club. :scared1:

But with 2 visits a year and 10% for the hotels and 15% for the restaurants and shops and free drinks and snacks at the Salon Mickey this 800€ must be amortised by now.

I hope what I just wrote is not too confusing? ;)

Basically if you buy now you are lucky to get at a reasonable cost for all those benefits!!!

Yes yes yes.

Within a 3 days trip you will have saved more than the cost of the shares was:

10% if you book a Disneyhotel (lets say 2N and 3D cost for 2 adults ~400€)
= 40€
15% for one meal each day at one of the restaurants for 2 adults per day ~ 50€
= 23€ for 3 days
15% for shopping if you have a budget of 100€ for these 3 days you safe 15€
=15€
and 3 days free drinks and snacks every morning will safe you ~ 30€
=30€

Total savings for these 3 days for two adults

= 108€ = 95Pound. :thumbsup2

Oh I wish I hadn't seen this thread lol. I've got some money coming to me next month and i've got to pay off the rest of my July trip (got the 40% discount) BUT now I am thinking "I should grab them there shares before I go to get my savings AND be a REAL Disney freak!" I absolutely love the idea of them being so cheap right now and have always wanted to have a little piece (I've got my name on the floor there so why not own a piece of the park too!)

Thinking seriously hard that this is too good to miss. Plus I've got three birthdays to sort out so what could be better!! Think I'll cancel my sons DSi that I've ordered for his 13th and buy him and me shares!
