Does anybody who has recently bought shares know if the admin fee is still €30 if you buy less than 20? Think im going to be buying them as the discounts will make a huge difference to my 6night trip in october :)

I think it still is, and I think it still is worth it to buy the shares needed to get that membership for free.

You have to pay the shares, OK, but they are not THAt expensive, usually teher are costs related to buying shares, and it won't make much of a difference whether you buy 10 or 20, and then you have the 30 EUR cost every TWO years for the card!!!

I paid once for the (at the time) 2000 shares, and won't have any more costs involved :)

JMO though!

hi:goodvibes

I recently bought shares and the admin fee is definately 30 euros if you buy 20 or less shares.

definately worth doing, as the benefit greatly outweigh the initial cost. :thumbsup2 I used selftrade on line to buy the shares and it was extremely straight forward.

wow - i was going to post almost exactly the same as janetlow!!!

i paid £50.10 for 5 shares including the £12.50 trading fee

I have just sent off for my membership and paid my 30euros.

i intend to watch the share price over the next 2 years and buy some more to get up to 20 so i don't have to pay for the membership again.

I bought the required 20 shares to get the shareholder card for free. That way I still own the stock (which I can sell whenever I'd like) AND I got all the discounts for free. The stock is not that expensive so it made no sense to me to pay a fee for the card. Why not put the money you'd spend on the fee towards buying the stock instead?

This is what DW and I did, saves having to pay another €30 to join the club and have to pay another €30 to renew your membership every two years.

DW and I made some very good savings on our last trip and we have worked out that the cost of buying the shares would be covered by the savings we would make on about three trips, and we have both fell in love with Saloon Mickey, its a wounderful place for a mid morning coffee break :yay:

Although when you renew shareholder club membership you need to confirm that you still hold the stock :thumbsup2

My card's just arrived and my name's written on it the wrong way around - it says "Mr Surname Firstname". Anyone else had that? It seems a bit odd to me!

Yep can agree about Cafe Mickey. The very lovely patisseries are to die for!!! My DD would live on the giant cookies if we let her!
