When we were at WL late August the only resort Stop was Ft Wilderness. Even when we went to AK, it went straight there. Is that because it's still considered the summer/ busy season?

We were there for 4th of July, and we shared with CR/BLT for both AK and DHS, and with FtW for Epcot and MK. The only exception was the morning to MK- that bus often went straight there. And I might consider July 4th to be a very busy summer week...When we were at WL late August the only resort Stop was Ft Wilderness. Even when we went to AK, it went straight there. When we stayed at GF years ago the bus system was horrible. No matter what park we had to take a bus to they were always packed and we had to wait 20-45 mins just to get on. You would think since the GF is the most expensive resort in WDW they would have dedicated buses or such. We are going the beginning of Dec and staying at CR. If we need to take a bus to a park or Disney springs we will probably just get in our rental car. I figure it will be faster.
The bus service does not get better based on the level of resort. It is just what it is, public busing.
It makes more sense for the deluxe resorts to share as they are clustered close to each other. The Grand Floridian is right next to the Poly, and the Contemporary and Wilderness Lodge are too. Plus the resorts are smaller than the value and moderates so no need to have separate buses to accommodate guests.
Remember too if they had separate buses for each deluxe resorts it would mean many more Cast Members. And more buses, so you would be paying even more for your resort stay.[/QUOTE
Disney buses are not public buses. They are run by the resort so they can do whatever they want. You seem to have missed my point. We already are paying more for our stay. The room rates are so high it could be a perk that you don't get at the values or moderates. Even though there are less rooms there are still plenty of people waiting for the buses. Having to wait 45 mins as one poster and myself have experienced is not what I expect from the deluxe resorts. Trust me WDW can afford to hire a few more bus drivers to accommodate guests paying premium prices for rooms

Don't give them any ideas! LoL.The room rates are so high it could be a perk that you don't get at the values or moderates.
I can see your point here.Having to wait 45 mins as one poster and myself have experienced is not what I expect from the deluxe resorts. Trust me WDW can afford to hire a few more bus drivers to accommodate guests paying premium prices for rooms.

The high room rates already get you things they don't have at the value and deluxe resorts--close proximity to 1 or 2 parks. Very fancy pool areas. Large rooms with better bedding and better towels and tp. No way would Disney add buses without raising the rates even more.
I never said I won't share buses with other resorts. I said I don't want to wait 45 mins for a bus. I also don't think it is a handful of guests that don't like the long waits for buses. I'm sure people in all the resorts don't like the bus system. That is why people rent cars, use Uber or the Minnie vans. I didn't miss your point at all. I just disagree that the bus system is public and can only be the way it is and never change. Disney changes things all the time. I just was giving my opinion of the situation because these are private buses that Disney can do anything they want with. They can dedicate buses to individual resorts or just simply add more buses at busy times to make the waits more reasonable especially for the price that everyone pays to stay at any of the resorts. But they won't just add buses because a handful of guests are vocal about not liking sharing. Disney has it designed so the bus service is bus service. It doesn't get better by the level of the resort. You are missing that point.
I know it has been a long time since we stayed at a Disney resort but we didn't have a fancy pool area at the GF and I'm not sure the linens and tp were any better either. Some of the moderate pools are much better than the deluxe from what I have seen and heard here. The high room rates already get you things they don't have at the value and deluxe resorts--close proximity to 1 or 2 parks.
